The second village was even more mysterious than the first.
There were no guards at the entrance, only a barrier that could be raised or lowered. Only Liang Ze's car was allowed to enter.
I looked at Liang Ze with a smirk, "Do you think just having a barrier makes it safe?"
Liang Ze shook his head with a smile, "You don't understand."
"What don't I understand?"
Liang Ze smiled at me, "Once you see it, you'll understand."
I was momentarily taken aback and hadn't reacted when Liang Ze had already driven forward.
He drove slowly, and I watched in amazement.
"Why are there no guards here?"
Liang Ze chuckled, "No need for guards."
I was stunned and looked at him in confusion.
"Why not?"
Liang Ze smiled but didn't answer me; instead, he pointed outside.
"Look outside."
I turned to look out the window.
In the next moment, I was speechless.
Outside was a sea of pink Chinese ixora!
This flower field looked exactly like the Chinese ixora field I had seen before.
I stared at Liang Ze in astonishment, "This is..."
Liang Ze nodded proudly, "Isn't it beautiful?"
"This entire mountain belongs to you."
"The whole mountain is covered in Chinese ixora. Do you like it?"
I nodded blankly. Liang Ze drove slowly, as if we were just strolling around. I saw a few pink sightseeing trains with little cat ears parked by the roadside. These kinds of trains are usually only seen in resorts. I frowned slightly and looked at Liang Ze in confusion.
"Why does it feel so much like a resort here?"
Liang Ze smiled, looking at me with a proud expression.
"This is the resort I created for you."
"Everything here is designed according to your preferences."
I was taken aback, feeling a mix of emotions inside. Soon, Liang Ze's car stopped in front of a castle. He gentlemanly opened the car door and smiled at me.
"My princess, please get out."
I stared at him blankly, feeling a pang of sadness in my heart. If only Liang Ze weren't a murderer, how wonderful that would be. If only Liang Ze were mine, how great that would be.
Liang Ze led me into the castle, where Xiao Ma had already prepared a table full of dishes waiting for us. Seeing us come in, Xiao Ma immediately rushed over, smiling at us.
"Sister, you're back."
I smiled and patted Xiao Ma's head.
"Xiao Ma is so good."
Liang Ze took me to wash our hands before we sat down to eat. For some reason, I felt a slight sense of fear in my heart.
Liang Ze seemed very busy. He spent some time with me in the afternoon and went out again in the evening. He didn't return until the early hours of the morning. The next day, bright and early, Liang Ze took me out again. He drove a sightseeing train straight to the mountain top. I wasn't feeling well and got tired halfway up. Liang Ze smiled and squatted down in front of me.
"Tired?"
I nodded, "Yeah."
Liang Ze looked back at the mountain top, "We're almost there. Should I carry you up?"
I thought for a moment and nodded.
"Okay."
Liang Ze picked me up and continued walking toward the summit. I leaned against his shoulder, watching his profile. For a brief moment, I wished he wasn't a murderer, that he wasn't Liang Ze.
Soon, we reached the top of the mountain. Liang Ze set me down and pointed to a distant sea of flowers.
"Look, Chinese Ixora Field."
I followed his finger and indeed saw a vast expanse of pink Chinese Ixora. I turned to Liang Ze, "This is..."
Liang Ze looked at me proudly, "This is the second Chinese Ixora Field."
I was slightly taken aback, staring at Liang Ze in shock. No wonder everything here resembled the previous village so much. It turned out this was also one of his factories.
Liang Ze pointed towards the distance at the Chinese ixora Field and said, "Over there, you can see the entire village."
"And over there," he continued.
He pointed in a direction, and as I looked over, all I could see was a vast expanse of white ocean.
