"Nice to see you again, Sister Li Wan," Yang Bo said with a smile.
I blinked, feeling a bit dazed.
Yang Bo chuckled, "It seems we only meet by chance."
I smiled back.
Yang Bo asked me, "What book are you reading?"
I shook the book in my hand, "This one, Herb Collection."
Yang Bo raised an eyebrow, "Are you interested in herbs?"
I shook my head, "I just wanted to learn a bit about them."
Yang Bo replied, "I recommend a book for you, Compendium of Materia Medica."
I nodded, "Okay, thank you."
Just as I was about to look up Compendium of Materia Medica, Yang Bo suddenly said, "Yuan, you're here too."
I turned to the voice and saw Gaoyuan.
He must have just arrived, holding a few books in his arms.
He walked up to us, glanced at me, then looked at Yang Bo. "Do you know each other?"
Yang Bo replied, "Yes, we only meet by chance."
Gaoyuan seemed to let out a sigh of relief.
Yang Bo and Gaoyuan conversed in English; I could occasionally catch a few phrases, mostly technical terms.
I felt a bit envious.

I quietly stepped aside and continued reading about herbs.
Yang Bo and Gaoyuan were deep in conversation while I sat nearby, unable to join in.
After a while, Yang Bo finally left.
I secretly breathed a sigh of relief.
Gaoyuan approached me and noticed my sense of relief. He raised an eyebrow and asked, "You don't like him?"

I didn't know how to describe it.
Gaoyuan looked at me with a glimmer in his eyes.
He took a few candies out of his pocket and handed them to me.
My eyes lit up: "Candy!"

"Delicious!" I smiled with satisfaction.
Gaoyuan smiled gently: "Eat slowly, they're all yours."

Li Wan was sitting in front of Gaoyuan, eating candy one after another like a child.
And Gaoyuan looked at her with a doting expression.

He had known Gaoyuan for five years, and it was the first time he had seen him treat someone so tenderly.

At the dessert shop.
The waitress at this shop was a young girl named Li Li.
When she saw me and Gaoyuan, her eyes lit up.
"Welcome, you two!"
Li Li greeted us enthusiastically.
I was a bit taken aback and quickly expressed my thanks.
Li Li kept staring at me, a mysterious smile on her face. I felt a chill run down my back from her gaze.
Instinctively, I leaned closer to Gaoyuan and whispered, "Why is she staring at me?"
Gaoyuan frowned, "I don't know." He wrapped his arm around my shoulders, protecting me as he said, "Don't mind her."
I nodded.
"Please follow me, guests," Li Li said as she led us to a table. She wiped it down and then handed me a menu, looking at me with a beaming smile.
I shivered again. Why was she still looking at me?
I quickly ordered a few desserts and then passed the menu to Gaoyuan.
Gaoyuan glanced at the menu and said to Li Li, "A cup of black coffee, please."
Li Li nodded, "Alright, please wait a moment." She took the menu and walked away.
I immediately sighed in relief.
Noticing my unease, Gaoyuan asked, "What's wrong?"
I shook my head, "It's nothing."
Gaoyuan pressed on, "Did she scare you?"
I hesitated, "Not exactly scared... it's just that her gaze feels a bit strange."
Gaoyuan raised an eyebrow, "Hmm?"
I explained, "It's just that weird look in her eyes, like there's something on my face."
Gaoyuan remained silent.
Before long, Li Li returned with a tray. She placed the desserts and black coffee on the table and smiled at me, saying, "Young lady, you're really lucky."
I was puzzled, "Huh?"
Li Li replied, "You are the one hundredth customer of the day at our establishment, so you can enjoy a 30% discount."
I was thrilled, "Really?"
Li Li nodded, "Of course."
I quickly thanked her, "Thank you!"
Li Li waved her hand, "You're welcome, come again next time."
I smiled in response.

Gaoyuan said, "Alright, just be careful."
I waved at him, "Bye-bye."
After Gaoyuan left, I returned to school.
