It was four-thirty in the afternoon, and it was almost time for Yiyi to finish school. Since Xiangluo Bay was quite far from the kindergarten where Yiyi attended, Ye Yiming decided to take Niu Gang's car directly to the kindergarten.
Upon arriving at the kindergarten, Ye Yiming saw Yiyi waiting at the entrance.
“Daddy!”
Yiyi, holding a few empty drink bottles, rushed into Ye Yiming's arms. The father and daughter embraced each other warmly, creating a heartwarming scene. This made Niu Gang think of his rebellious daughter, and he said enviously, “Brother Ye, you have such a good relationship with your daughter!”
“Haha!”
Ye Yiming gently rubbed Yiyi's nose and smiled happily, “Of course! A daughter is a father's lover from a past life and his little darling in this life.”
“Yiyi, say hello to Uncle Niu!”
“Hello, Uncle Niu!”
Yiyi obediently greeted him. This made Niu Gang's heart melt. He gently stroked Yiyi's head with affection and said, “Yiyi is so good; Uncle will drive you home.”
It was Yiyi's first time in a car, and she curiously looked around.
“Daddy, the car is so fast!”
With her beautiful big eyes blinking, Yiyi looked at Ye Yiming and asked, “Daddy, how many empty drink bottles does Yiyi need to collect to buy a car?”
“Why do you want to buy a car?” Ye Yiming asked with a smile.
Yiyi replied seriously, “Yiyi wants to buy a car for Mommy and Daddy so that you don’t have to walk such a long way to work.”
“Silly girl.”
A warm feeling surged in Ye Yiming's heart as he held Yiyi even tighter.
“Yiyi, leave the car buying to Daddy! Not only will Daddy buy a car, but he will also get a big house for you and Mommy!”
“Really?”
“Of course! Daddy never lies to you.”
Looking at her daughter's obedient demeanor, Ye Yiming couldn't help but give her a kiss.
The car stopped at the front door, and Niu Gang poked his head out from inside. "Yiyi, you need to study hard, and then Uncle will take you to the amusement park!"
"Thank you, Uncle! Yiyi will work hard!"
Yiyi nodded obediently and waved her little hand at Niu Gang. "Goodbye, Uncle!"
Once back home, Yiyi went to her room to do her homework.
Ye Yiming began preparing dinner. The aroma of soft-fried pork tenderloin, spicy chicken cubes, and soup with baby bok choy filled the house.
Just as dinner was ready, a weary Luo Qi returned home.
"You're back just in time; dinner is ready."
Ye Yiming called out as the family of three gathered around the small dining table, enjoying their meal.
Yiyi took a bite of the spicy chicken cube and exclaimed in surprise at the heat, eventually running off to get some water.
Her adorable antics made Ye Yiming and Luo Qi laugh.
After the laughter subsided, Ye Yiming shifted the conversation and asked, "Qiqi, how's the business venture going?"
"It's going okay!"
Luo Qi paused for a moment before continuing, "Today everyone has set up the Processing Plant; we're just waiting for your design drawings to arrive so we can send the materials to the tailor for production."
"I'll send you the design drawings tomorrow."
Ye Yiming smiled and was about to tell Luo Qi about the villa when suddenly a sharp knocking interrupted him.
"Who is it?"
Luo Qi stood up to open the door and found a woman in a Cheongsam standing outside. The woman was heavily made up, and the scent of her perfume was overwhelming.
Before Luo Qi could say anything, the woman looked at her with disdain and said, "Qiqi, you actually live in this godforsaken place!"
"Hehe..."
