Suddenly, he sensed that something was missing! In the bustling banquet venue, a small number of individuals stood quietly to one side, watching the dancers on the dance floor with disinterest, their expressions blank and numb!
This realization instantly dampened his previously high spirits. He pondered: this banquet is no different from any he had hosted before! No wonder everyone looked so uninterested. If he wanted to encourage more guests to join in the revelry, perhaps something special and unique was needed?
After much contemplation, he found that his large brain could not come up with a brilliant idea. So, he called upon his children. Suddenly, melodious music filled the air.
The host of the banquet, Xie Dongshi, squeezed through the crowd and stood on the left staircase of the hall. Holding a microphone in hand, he cleared his throat and addressed the many guests: "Dear esteemed guests, you must be wondering why the music has stopped." He paused deliberately: "Because… we are about to hold a particularly interesting and unprecedented game!"
A murmur of whispers erupted throughout the venue, with some even loudly asking questions: "Come on, what kind of game is it?! What makes it so unique?!"
"The game, I assure you, will be very entertaining!" he confidently replied.
"Then tell us, how is it interesting?" The people at the venue were somewhat eager to know.
Xie Dongshi looked at the people at the Banquet with satisfaction; this was the effect he wanted.
