Shen Xingyu went to the bathroom to wash off the bloodstains on him, leaving the area near the ICU empty.
Taking advantage of this opportunity, Du Qiaoyun took the elevator to the ICU Ward. Wearing black sunglasses and holding a phone, she spoke coldly, "I need you to help me kill someone." The intent to kill radiated from her.
After hanging up, Du Qiaoyun glanced at the ICU Ward before turning to head to the underground parking lot. Upon arriving at the private hospital, she met Nurse Li and then proceeded to the ICU Ward.
Looking at Ye Jingzhu lying in bed, Du Qiaoyun's gaze darkened as she scoffed, "Ye Jingzhu, you really have some skills. Even in this state, you can still seduce Shen Xingyu."
Du Qiaoyun had not expected Shen Xingyu to leave with Ye Jingzhu during the wedding. The wedding she had planned for so long was ruined just like that. She was unwilling to accept it! Ye Jingzhu, why don’t you just die!
Du Qiaoyun took out a vial of white liquid and said, "I got this from someone in Russia. They say that if injected, even a person in a coma will have nightmares and might even scare themselves to death. Enjoy it."
Nurse Li looked somewhat frightened. "Miss Du, this..."
"What? You don't want to do it?" Du Qiaoyun's eyes turned cold as she sneered, "If you don't want to do it, I'll tell Shen Xingyu that you took the money but didn't get the job done. Do you think he will let you off?"
"No, no!" Nurse Li quickly shook her head, trembling as she took the drug from Du Qiaoyun's hand. "I'll do it."
Du Qiaoyun smiled with satisfaction. "That's more like it. Don't worry; this matter is known only to us."
"Yes," Nurse Li nodded.
She walked up to Ye Jingzhu's bedside, preparing to inject her.
"Stop!" Shen Xingyu suddenly appeared, rushing to the bedside and pushing Nurse Li aside. He glared at Du Qiaoyun and shouted, "Du Qiaoyun, it's really you!"
Du Qiaoyun looked at Shen Xingyu in shock; she hadn't expected him to return so suddenly. Feeling guilty, she stammered, "Xingyu, what are you doing here?"
"What's wrong? Did I ruin your good deed?" Shen Xingyu's eyes blazed with fury. "Du Qiaoyun, I didn't expect you to be so malicious, actually bribing a nurse to try to kill Ye Jingzhu."
"Xingyu, please let me explain," Du Qiaoyun said, tears welling in her eyes, looking pitiful.
"What else do you want to explain?" Shen Xingyu was furious, his eyes sharp as knives. "Ye Jingzhu is already in this state, and you still won't let her go! What did she do to you that made you hate her so much?"
"I hate her," Du Qiaoyun blurted out. She knew that nothing she said could change Shen Xingyu's opinion of her, so she stopped pretending.
Through gritted teeth, she said, "I wish she would die. She ruined my wedding; she took you away from me."
"So you bribed the nurse to inject her with drugs that would give her nightmares?" Shen Xingyu's forehead was throbbing with anger as he looked at Du Qiaoyun, feeling like she was a stranger.
"Yes," Du Qiaoyun admitted, knowing that her actions had been exposed and that there was no need for pretense anymore. "I did do that."
"Du Qiaoyun, I can't believe you deceived me for so long," Shen Xingyu said coldly. "You always claimed Ye Jingzhu was cruel, but the truly cruel person is you."
"What did I say wrong?" Du Qiaoyun retorted passionately. "Ye Jingzhu is nothing but a shameless woman. If it weren't for her, Wanwan wouldn't have died, and your mother wouldn't have died!"
"Shut up." Shen Xingyu's eyes were bloodshot. "Du Qiaoyun, you're still lying to me! Wanwan's heart was never transplanted to Ye Jingzhu; it was Ye Jingzhu who donated her heart to Wanwan."
