I hesitated for a long time before asking her, "What about Zhuo Feng?"

This document was stored in a Document Bag and placed at the bottom of a drawer. Although it wasn't locked, it was pressed under other papers.

The information was detailed, and there were markings made by Xiao Minxing on top.
Was he actually investigating these matters concerning the Xiao Family?
When did that start? Had he already discussed it privately with Old Master Xiao, or was he just trying to understand the situation like he did with Xiao Minfeng, without any intention to intervene?
I sealed the documents back up and lost the motivation to look for my identification, sitting in the Living Room waiting for Xiao Minxing to return.
When he got home, it was nearly eleven o'clock. As soon as he saw me, he asked, "Didn't I tell you not to wait for me? Go to bed; I'll come after I take a shower."
I remained seated and softly said, "You go take a shower; I want to ask you something later."

I had initially wanted to look him in the eye and ask him about those documents from the Xiao Family with a strong demeanor. But for some reason, my resolve weakened, and I softly said, "I was looking for my identification today."
"Oh, what documents?" he asked.
"It's the documents we talked about for the remarriage last time. I searched the whole house with Sister Liu, but still couldn't find them."
Xiao Minxing laughed upon hearing this and leaned forward to ask me, "Are you thinking of getting remarried?"
I didn't say anything and tugged at the wide sleeve of his bathrobe, saying, "Where did you put them?"
His expression was a bit helpless as he softly replied, "In the car. I've prepared everything; I'm just waiting for you to say the word, and we can leave right now."
I was taken aback for a moment and then gently pinched his arm, saying, "Where are we going at this hour? Who's going to open the door for you to do this?"
Xiao Minxing just smiled without answering, got up to grab a dry towel to wipe his head, and then nestled next to me on the bed.
I felt uneasy with something on my mind and tried to bring it up again: "I saw the Xiao Family's information in your drawer. Have you started getting involved in their affairs?"
Xiao Minxing's hand that was around me paused for a moment but quickly returned to its natural position as he gently combed my hair and said, "Those things are Father's pride and joy. I have to be prepared in advance; if one day I really need to do something, I won't be caught off guard."
"So you're still listening to Dad's advice?"
Xiao Minxing neither nodded nor denied it but instead looked at me and asked, "Anan, what do you think of the Xiao Family?"
