After all, I used to really like him. He was like a dream to me. Although we have broken up, I still hope he can be happy. Perhaps his departure is a good thing for me. At least, I no longer suffer from his indifference towards me. 0

I arrived at Xu Zimo's office. The door was unlocked. I pushed the door open and walked in. A faint smell of disinfectant filled the room. "Xu Zimo?" I called out. There was no response. It seemed he wasn't there. 0

I sat down on the sofa, planning to wait for him. At that moment, I noticed a black velvet jewelry box on his desk. Curiously, I walked over and picked up the box. Inside was a necklace with a diamond-encrusted hexagram pendant; it was beautiful. I thought that if I wore it around my neck, it would look stunning. 0

Just then, the door was pushed open. I was startled and quickly put the necklace back in its place. "Xiao Lin?" Xu Zimo stood at the door, looking at me in surprise. "You... you’re back?" I said nervously as I looked at him. 0

"Mm." He nodded, a pleased expression on his face. "What brings you here?" 0

"I..." I was about to explain when suddenly the necklace slipped from my fingertips. 0

I quickly reached out to catch it. However, the pendant had a letter engraved on the back—C. 0

My heart sank. 0

"Xiao Lin!" Xu Zimo rushed over and grabbed my hand. 0

"Don't touch it!" he shouted. 0

I was taken aback. 0

He looked into my eyes, his expression complicated. 0

My heart twisted painfully. 0

I withdrew my hand and forced a smile. "Xu Zimo, this necklace is for Chen Yun, right?" 0

He frowned slightly. "Did you see it?" 0

"Yes." I nodded. "Chen Yun likes Hexagram; this necklace must be the birthday gift you gave her." 0

He fell silent for a few seconds before saying, "She's no longer here, so..." 0

"So we should get a divorce." I interrupted him. 0

He stared at me in shock. "What did you say?" 0

"Xu Zimo, let's get a divorce," I said firmly. 0

He fixed his gaze on me, his eyes sharp. "Is it because of Chen Gang?" 0

"Chen Gang?" I was taken aback. "What does he have to do with this?" 0

"Hasn't he come back?" 0

"You ran into him?" 0

"He saw me at the hospital," Xu Zimo said flatly. 0

"So what?" I looked at him. "What does that have to do with our divorce?" 0

"Aren't you always fond of him?" he sneered, "Now that he's getting married, you finally can't hold back?" 0
"What nonsense are you talking about!" I glared at him angrily, "He's getting married, but I'm already married! Xiao Lin, I am your wife!" 0
He stared at me, his gaze deep. 0
"Xiao Lin, if you're changing your mind because Chen Gang is getting married, then I advise you to think it through," he said solemnly. "Chen Yun and I are in the past; if you're willing, we can continue as a couple." 0
"No..." I shook my head, "I don't want to go on like this." 0
"Why?" he frowned. 0
"I'm tired," I said. "Xu Zimo, I don't want to maintain this hollow marriage anymore." 0
He was silent for a few seconds before asking, "Are you really not doing this because of Chen Gang?" 0
"Of course not," I looked at him, "There's no possibility between him and me anymore." 0
"Then why do you want a divorce?" he questioned coldly. "Do you have no feelings for me at all?" 0
"I..." I looked at him but didn't know how to respond. 0
I couldn't bring myself to say the words "none." 0
Because deep down, I knew I had fallen in love with him. 0
