At around eight o'clock in the evening, Xu Jing and Zhou Qi each had their dinner in the dining room. After finishing his meal, Zhou Qi didn't ask Xu Jing if she had eaten or call her. Xu Jing lay in bed the whole time without eating. When she felt tired, she would take a nap, and when she woke up, she would check the news. She deliberately placed her phone on the bedside table for easy access to messages.
Around four or five in the morning, Xu Jing woke up. She heard footsteps outside, getting closer. The doorknob turned, and someone walked in. That person approached the bed and slowly crouched down. Xu Jing pretended to wake up in fright and suddenly opened her eyes. Zhou Qi immediately covered her eyes and said, "It's me." Only then did Xu Jing pretend to breathe a sigh of relief.
Zhou Qi looked at her with a slight smile at the corners of his mouth. He reached out to wrap his arms around Xu Jing's waist, pulling her into his embrace. Xu Jing instinctively struggled for a moment but then gave up. Zhou Qi watched her with a glimmer of amusement in his eyes. His hand wandered along Xu Jing's waistline and rested on her chest. Zhou Qi lowered his head and kissed Xu Jing's lips. His movements were gentle, as if he were trying to entice Xu Jing.
Xu Jing closed her eyes, pretending to be enchanted by him. Seeing her expression, Zhou Qi felt increasingly pleased with himself. He deliberately avoided getting straight to the point, instead teasing and toying with her. Xu Jing understood his intentions and was happy to play along. Finally, unable to hold back any longer, Xu Jing took the initiative to roll over and pin Zhou Qi beneath her. She looked at him with desire in her eyes. Zhou Qi smiled and said, "In such a hurry?"
Xu Jing did not speak and directly kissed his lips. Her movements were somewhat awkward, yet filled with passion. Zhou Qi felt her kiss and her soft body, igniting a fire within him. He turned the tables and pressed Xu Jing down, claiming her fiercely. After their passionate encounter, Zhou Qi felt satisfied. He did not leave immediately but lay on Xu Jing's bed, closing his eyes to rest.
Xu Jing propped herself up, looking at his face, and softly asked, "Are you coming again?" Zhou Qi opened his eyes, gazing at her with a lazy tone, "Aren't you tired?" Xu Jing shook her head. Zhou Qi smiled, "I'm not tired; you can do as you wish."
Xu Jing lay back down. It was still early; she could sleep a little longer. As for Zhou Qi—Xu Jing was not worried about him staying the night. After all, Zhou Qiang could return at any moment. If Zhou Qiang discovered them together, everything would be in vain.
However, an hour passed, and Zhou Qi still lay in bed without any intention of leaving. Xu Jing couldn't help but ask, "Aren't you going?" Zhou Qi opened his eyes and looked at her, "What? Afraid Zhou Qiang will find out?" Xu Jing bit her lip and remained silent, which was an acknowledgment.
Zhou Qi scoffed lightly, "We're legally married; what right does he have to control me?" Xu Jing did not want to argue about this. She was only concerned about when Zhou Qiang would return. Zhou Qi seemed to sense her thoughts and deliberately said, "Don't worry; he won't be back so soon."
Xu Jing did not understand where Zhou Qi's confidence came from. She didn't believe that Zhou Qiang would allow them to be together. After thinking for a moment, Xu Jing advised, "You should go back first. What if Zhou Qiang comes back..."
"If he comes back, he comes back," Zhou Qi said nonchalantly. "I'm not afraid of him."
"..."
Xu Jing really didn't know how to persuade him anymore. She could only change her approach: "If you're here and Auntie sees you..."
"If she sees me, she sees me," Zhou Qi remained indifferent. "I don't snore or grind my teeth; I can't infect you, can I?"
"..."
Xu Jing was left speechless. She looked at Zhou Qi, her brows slightly furrowed. Zhou Qi noticed her troubled expression and suddenly asked, "Is Zhou Qiang coming back today?"
Xu Jing's heart skipped a beat. But soon, she calmed down again. She looked at Zhou Qi and replied calmly, "I'm afraid he won't believe it."

Zhou Qi was taken aback for a moment before realizing what she meant. He sneered sarcastically, "Your love story is truly touching; I'm almost in tears."

Xu Jing said nothing, just closed her eyes and pretended not to hear. Zhou Qi looked at her, a hint of disgust flashing in his eyes. He despised Xu Jing and also hated Zhou Qiang. Their so-called love made him feel sick.
