At a little past five in the morning, I came down from the second floor with Zhou Qi. I was calm and composed, my hair perfectly in place. Zhou Qi, however, looked a bit lazy, as if he had just been woken up. Our current state was completely different from how we had been when we went upstairs. 0

I drove while Zhou Qi sat in the back, and I could feel his gaze fixed on my profile. It made me uncomfortable, but I didn’t show it. I kept my eyes on the road, pretending not to care about his attention. 0

Zhou Qi lit a cigarette and began reminiscing about our second intimate encounter. I have to admit, Zhou Qi's body made me feel both love and fear. I hated him, despised him, yet I couldn't live without him. My loathing for him was intertwined with a need for him. This complex emotion twisted me inside out. 0

I dropped Zhou Qi off at the Zhou Family Old Residence. As I prepared to leave, Zhou Qi suddenly asked me, "Where are you going?" 0

"Home." 0

"This is your home, isn't it?" Zhou Qi scoffed. "Xu Jing, are you scared?" 0

"Zhou Qi, why would I be scared?" 0

"Scared that I'll run away." 0

"Do you think if I stay here, you won't run?" I retorted. "Zhou Qi, you can't be childish enough to think I can't keep an eye on you." 0

"Can't keep an eye on me," Zhou Qi provoked. "But Xu Jing, if you're here, I won't run." 0

"Is that so?" I smiled lightly. "Then thank you for your kind consideration, Manager Zhou." 0

After speaking, I got out of the car. Zhou Qi also got out and walked straight into the villa. This is Zhou Wenguang's residence, and it is also Zhou Qi's home. I made a few calls in the backyard, instructing to replace all the bodyguards around Zhou Qi. I needed to find a way to minimize the impact of what happened in the early morning. 0

I dialed a few numbers. "Peng Zhou, suppress what happened in the early morning. If anyone leaks information, you know what to do." 0

"Also, investigate the purpose of those people coming here today. If it's for Zhou Qi's money, that can be handled easily. But if someone is deliberately inciting trouble..." 0

"Once you find out, don't act rashly. Keep a close watch and wait for my instructions." 0

I hung up and dialed another number. "Secretary Wang, this is Xu Jing." 0

"Hello, Mrs. Zhou, this is Secretary Wang." 0

"Secretary Wang, you must be aware of what happened in the early morning. I believe you have a way to suppress it without affecting my father." 0

"Rest assured, Mrs. Zhou, Manager Zhou will not know about this matter." 0

"Good." I paused for a moment, "Thank you, Secretary Wang." 0

I hung up the phone. Secretary Wang is Zhou Wenguang's personal secretary and has earned his trust. Since Zhou Wenguang is often away from home, Secretary Wang lives at the Zhou Family Old Residence to take care of Zhou Qi. 0

I looked up and saw Zhou Qi standing by the window on the second floor. He held a cigarette in his hand and looked at me calmly. I knew he had seen everything I just did. I averted my gaze and dialed another number. Zhou Qi stood by the window, watching Xu Jing in the backyard making phone calls. 0

Xu Jing's tone was very calm, so calm that it bordered on indifference. She remained composed, effortlessly organizing everything with just a few words. When alone with herself, she seemed like a completely different person. 0

During a phone call with Peng Zhou, she was calm and decisive, casually stating, "You know what to do," yet her words carried a sense of authority. When speaking with Secretary Wang, she was polite, addressing her as "Mrs. Zhou" and referring to Secretary Wang directly, creating a clear distinction that somehow felt distant. 0

Zhou Qi looked at Xu Jing, feeling a mix of emotions. He suddenly realized that he seemed to no longer know Xu Jing. 0
