On the weekend, Xin Ping was preparing to meet Sun Ming. She opened the car door but found that it wouldn't budge. She panicked and tried several times, but the door remained stuck. With no other option, she decided to take a taxi to the cinema. 0

When she arrived at the cinema, she waited for a long time but Sun Ming did not show up. She called him, but there was no answer. She sent him a message, and he didn't reply either. Xin Ping felt a bit angry. She thought, what is Sun Ming playing at? He had clearly invited her to watch a movie, yet he wasn't coming. 0

Standing alone at the cinema entrance, she watched couples walk by, feeling a pang of sadness in her heart. After the movie ended, she stood out in the crowd, feeling particularly out of place. She walked over to a trash can, hesitating whether to throw away the items she had bought for Sun Ming. 0

Just as she was about to discard them, her phone vibrated. It was a message from Sun Ming. "Xin Ping, I'm really sorry. Something came up last minute; I have to go back home." "Don't be mad; I love you." 0

Xin Ping felt both angry and worried. She thought, could something have happened to Sun Ming? She replied, "Are you okay?" But there was no response from him. Xin Ping felt uneasy. She wondered if Sun Ming was lying to her. She decided to wait a little longer; if he still didn't reply, she would go find him. 0

When Xin Ping returned home, the lights were on brightly. She opened the door and saw Old Tang sitting in the middle of the living room, clearly waiting for her. He had a dark expression on his face as he looked at Xin Ping and asked, "Where have you been?" 0

Feeling somewhat guilty, Xin Ping replied, "I was working overtime." 0

Old Tang sneered, "Working overtime?" 0

"Are you going on a date with Sun Ming?" 0

Xin Ping's heart raced. "What nonsense are you talking about?" 0

Old Tang took out his phone and played a recording. It was the sound of Xin Ping talking on the phone with Sun Ming. 0

Xin Ping's face turned pale. She didn't expect Old Tang to have installed a listening device in her car. 0

Old Tang looked at Xin Ping with a cold gaze. "What's wrong? Scared?" 0

"Xin Ping, you're really something, daring to cheat on me behind my back." 0

Xin Ping bit her lip and remained silent. 0

Old Tang sneered again, "Do you know who Sun Ming is?" 0

Xin Ping widened her eyes. "What do you mean?" 0

Old Tang pulled up a webpage on his phone and handed it to Xin Ping. "Take a look for yourself." 0

Xin Ping took the phone, glanced at it, and was instantly stunned. 0

The webpage prominently displayed a photo of Sun Ming. Below it was a brief introduction: General Manager of Sydy Engineering Co., Ltd. 0

Xin Ping's heart sank. She thought, wasn't Sun Ming just an unemployed drifter? How did he become a general manager? 0

Old Tang looked at Xin Ping and smirked coldly. "Didn’t see that coming, did you? Your little lover is no ordinary person." 0

Xin Ping's face turned white as she shook her head. "No way, you're lying to me. Sun Ming can't be that kind of person." 0

Old Tang stared at Xin Ping with an expression that seemed ready to devour her. "Xin Ping, you're really something." 0

"I treated you so well, and you dared to betray me." 0

"Do you believe I will kill your whole family?" 0

Xin Ping trembled all over. 0
She looked at Old Tang, her eyes filled with fear. 0
She believed that Old Tang was capable of such things. 0
Her voice shook as she said, "No, please don't..." 0
Old Tang pulled a bag from behind the sofa and slammed it down on Xin Ping. 0
"Take a look for yourself, what is this?" 0
Xin Ping picked up the bag and opened it to find the brown handbag that Sun Ming had given her. 0
Her face turned pale as she shook her head, "No, it's not..." 0
"I bought this myself." 0
Old Tang sneered coldly, "You bought it yourself?" 0
"Do you think I don't know this is the latest Hermes model?" 0
"Can you even afford it?" 0
He grabbed Xin Ping by the hair and dragged her to the bathroom. 0
He pressed her head into the bathtub, pushing down repeatedly. 0
Xin Ping struggled, choking on water. 0
She felt like she was about to suffocate. 0
Old Tang released her, giving her a moment to breathe. 0
Then he pushed her head back into the water. 0
This went on repeatedly. 0
Xin Ping felt like she was dying. 0
She struggled and pleaded, "No... please don't..." 0
Old Tang, like a madman, yanked her hair and slammed her head against the wall. 0
His eyes were bloodshot, his expression twisted and terrifying. 0
"Xin Ping, you've really become something." 0
"You dare to play around with infidelity." 0
"Do you believe I will kill you?" 0
He yanked her hair and threw her out of the bathroom. 0
Xin Ping lay there weakly, trembling all over. 0

Her clothes were soaked, her body covered in bruises and scars. Old Tang walked into the living room and brought over a scarf. It was a gift he had given to Xin Ping. He wrapped the scarf around Xin Ping's neck and tightened it firmly. Xin Ping struggled to breathe, fighting desperately like a dying fish. Old Tang looked at her, his eyes filled with hatred: "How dare you hang the scarf I gave you on the wall, using the one that wild man gave you instead?" 0

"Do you think I'm not as good as him?" 0

"Tell me, should I just ruin you?" 0

Xin Ping couldn't speak. She looked at Old Tang, her eyes filled with fear and pleading. She felt like she was going to die. Her mind was blank, her heart empty. She didn't understand what she had done wrong to deserve such punishment from heaven. Memories of her time with Sun Ming flooded her mind, causing her pain. She thought that if time could turn back, she would never let Sun Ming down. She would love him properly this time. But unfortunately, it was too late. 0

When Xin Ping woke up, she found herself tied up with her hands behind her back in the house. Old Tang wouldn't let her go outside or see anyone. During the day, he acted as if she didn't exist. At night, he clung to her, demanding details about her relationship with Sun Ming. Xin Ping's phone had been confiscated, and she couldn't contact Sun Ming. She also had no idea what Old Tang intended to do. 0
