Having a friend who is a big star in the entertainment industry can be a hassle. When I came to visit, the crew mistook me for an overly eager fan and refused me entry.
Under the scorching summer sun, I could only hide in a nearby cold drink shop, enjoying the air conditioning while messaging Zhao Hanhang to let her know my location and urging her to finish filming quickly.

I hurriedly made my way outside, taking two steps for every one of his.

I quickly secured my bag, gripping the strap tightly. When I felt he was just a step away, I swiftly turned around and swung my purse at him, shouting, "You think you can mess with me while I'm walking around here? You don't even know where to hang out! As I swung my bag, my vision blurred for a moment, but then I suddenly spotted a familiar object being held up.
The thug squatting on the ground looked up and said, "Is this your wallet?"
Oh no, I must have left my wallet on the table in my rush.
So he came out just to return my wallet? I misjudged him.
I hurriedly nodded, "Yes, yes, that's definitely mine."
Just as I was about to take the wallet from him, he pulled it back and said, "But how can you prove this is your wallet?"
I was instantly furious. "That wallet was just sitting on my table! Isn't that proof enough? You were staring at me for so long; don’t tell me you didn’t see me sitting there."
As I said that, I felt a bit embarrassed.
Being beautiful can be a burden sometimes.
"That's true," he replied.
The thug actually admitted it.
Just when I thought I could safely retrieve my wallet, he opened it and said, "Recite your ID number."
What a hassle! Reluctantly, I stated my name and ID number.
I couldn't tell if it was just my imagination, but when he heard my name, there seemed to be a strange glint in his eyes.
After getting my wallet back, I turned to head to the set to find my friend, but unexpectedly, he grabbed my wrist and pulled me closer to him. My heart raced in fear.
"You just said this area is your territory? I've never heard of the name Young Lady Jian before."
The boss put on sunglasses, smirking with one corner of his mouth lifted, his expression was terrifyingly sinister.
He even reached out to touch the ring on his finger. Years of watching Hong Kong dramas told me that this kind of behavior usually precedes a violent act.
I immediately backed down: "Big brother, I was wrong. I didn't recognize who you were and offended you. Please let me go."
His gaze was hidden behind the sunglasses, so I couldn't see his expression, but I was sure it wasn't friendly.
Fortunately, there were many people coming and going nearby, and he ultimately spared me: "Go on, I'll let you off this time since you don't look too bad."
