"Caw caw!"
A crow flew overhead...
The atmosphere became awkward.
"Heh heh, I might have taken a wrong turn, you all carry on!"
I grabbed my backpack and took off running.
But after just a couple of steps, my path was blocked by a furry wolf leg.
The werewolf's eerie green eyes were fixed on me—another wolf behind me.
"Look at the mess you've made. How did you approve an ordinary person's group application?"
"Burp~"
The wolf behind me let out a drunken belch.
"Huh? Was it the application for the Werewolf Group? I thought it was for the Card Face Group!"
The admin wolf wobbled on its four legs, circling around me to take a look.

It drooled uncontrollably, its speech slightly slurred.

The Pack Leader Wolf furrowed its brow in frustration; it was the first time I saw impatience on a wolf's face.
I kicked the admin wolf down.

The Pack Leader Wolf covered its face with its paw: "So what do you all suggest we do now?"
I had intended to take advantage of their moment of contemplation to escape.

The Pack Leader Wolf's emerald green eyes lit up.
As expected of the Group Leader; so reliable!
"You should marry the head wolf!"
Pack Leader Wolf With a swipe of his claw, the wolf declared with righteous indignation, "That's right! With the union of humans and wolves, we are now one family! If you reveal our secrets, you can be executed according to the laws of the Wolf Clan."
"What laws of the Wolf Clan?"
The werewolf bared his fangs, "The law that will make you disappear from this world."
So, if I don't choose, I won't survive? I shivered and looked around. No wolf was willing to meet my gaze; it was as if they all had "Don't choose me" written on their faces.
Only that wolf cub named Ji Chen was drooling and staring at me, looking just like the foolish son of a landlord.
I closed my eyes, steeled my heart, and thought, whatever! I'll just grab whichever one I can! I rushed over and hugged one of the wolves:
"This one!"
But something felt off; shouldn't wolf fur be fluffy? Why was I feeling smooth fabric instead? I instinctively reached down but was stopped by a hand.
A restrained voice came from above me: "Where do you think you're touching?"
