"Ah? What did I miss?!"
Once again, several zombie heads were sent flying by the Chain Spear as Xiao Kuang swung the four to five-meter-long chain, charging through the Zombie Horde. The immense strength and incredible speed made it impossible for the zombies to get close to her; they could only watch helplessly as Xiao Kuang's Chain Spear severed their necks.
In a bloodthirsty frenzy, upon hearing what Blue Face Hero had just said in the team channel, Xiao Kuang became even more excited. She realized she was surrounded by the Zombie Horde and decided to retract her Chain Spear. However, the two zombies at the front were already roaring and lunging at her...
"Come on..."
With a sinister grin, Xiao Kuang shot her arms out like lightning towards the two zombies, and the Chain Spear shot out, piercing straight into their chests.
Xiao Kuang knew that this wouldn't kill them, but her target was not just these two. In an instant, the two zombies felt as if the world was spinning—because it truly was. From above, Xiao Kuang and these two unfortunate souls looked like a giant spinning top, wildly rotating at the center of the battlefield, sweeping through the Zombie Horde like a hurricane!
Wherever this hurricane reached, zombies were swept away; with immense force combined with two heavyweights, some zombies had their heads twisted completely backward.
But Xiao Kuang was human too. With such high-intensity spinning, no matter how good her physical condition was, she would get dizzy.
Xiao Kuang gradually realized she could no longer spin; if she continued, she wouldn't be able to tell if she was human or a corpse.
"Phew, so tired..."
In Xiao Kuang's view, the zombies seemed to stretch up into the sky. She felt like a drunkard who had consumed eight pounds of liquor, swaying left and right in place.
In fact, what Xiao Kuang was doing was very wrong; she treated the zombies like humans and thought that by sweeping them away like this, they would be dealt with. However, the zombies she had just knocked aside were getting back up and glaring menacingly at this "drunken" girl.
Xiao Kuang wanted to regain her clarity, but she simply couldn't recover in time. Other zombies nearby were tilting their heads to observe her movements; one particularly bold zombie took advantage of her unsteadiness and pounced on her with a claw that knocked Xiao Kuang to the ground.
"Ah!" Xiao Kuang felt a burning sting on her face, but soon her skin healed. A wave of drowsiness washed over her, and an overwhelming fatigue spread throughout her body. All Xiao Kuang wanted now was to lie down; otherwise, she would throw up everything she had just eaten...
Wait a minute, there are zombies nearby!
Just as she regained consciousness in that moment, strong alarms suddenly began ringing in her brain from her arms—
"Ugh—"
Xiao Kuang turned to look at her arms; several zombies had already pounced on her and were biting down on her flesh, their sharp teeth scraping against her bones, causing so much pain that she could no longer scream.
It seemed that the zombies had planned this; hearing a roar from ahead, she endured the excruciating pain and lifted her head to see a zombie charging towards her—
They were pinning her down while this last one came for the kill?!
Xiao Kuang's eyes widened as she began to struggle frantically, but several zombies refused to let go of their grip and instead bit down even harder.
The deadly zombie had already leaped into the air...
"Meow—"
Xiao Kuang was instantly stunned.
What is this... a cat?
This big cat was quite large, and it opened its sharp teeth and claws to scratch at the zombie's face.
"Huh?!" Xiao Kuang never expected to be saved by a cat.
A few zombies that were biting Xiao Kuang's arm, seeing that it hadn't bitten yet, curiously released their jaws and glanced back.
Xiao Kuang seized the opportunity, dragging her bitten arm up and shooting a Chain Spear into the back of the zombie's head before they could turn around.
Xiao Kuang's arm quickly began to recover, and her previously exhausted arm gradually regained strength. She grabbed the struggling zombie and hurled it like trash towards another zombie nearby.
The other zombies, seeing this, immediately rushed towards the newly standing Xiao Kuang, but suddenly a massive foot came crashing down from above—
"Boom!"
The few zombies in front of Xiao Kuang instantly vanished, replaced by Titan Aibo's sturdy thigh.
Aibo's tall and mighty figure stood in front of Xiao Kuang; he turned to glance at her, and Xiao Kuang looked into his moonlight-colored eyes, as gentle as Nars', feeling a wave of safety wash over her.
"Wow!"
The zombies in front were rushing over from the city, gathering more and more, with a few leading ones roaring angrily at Aibo—they could tell that this creature seemed uninterested in them.
Their eyes were fixed on Xiao Kuang behind Aibo.
"Bang!"
Aibo did not roar at the Zombie Horde or launch an attack; he simply tossed the iron anchor he was carrying onto the ground.
The anchor embedded itself into the concrete road with a metallic echo.
The Zombie Horde immediately fell silent; the zombies looked at each other, pushing and shoving as if debating who would go first to test it out.
"Hello, everybody!"
The zombies all raised their heads to look at the overpass behind Aibo, and suddenly, the Zombie Horde erupted like an explosion, roaring madly as if they had seen a thousand-year-old nemesis.
Not a thousand years, but they were indeed nemeses.
The Spirit Corps had gathered on the overpass without anyone noticing; George swung from a lamppost like a monkey, hanging in mid-air while waving at the Soulless s across from him.
The Spirit Corps extended their claws, waiting for George's command.
"Meow—"
"Eh?" Xiao Kuang was still filled with adrenaline when she heard that soft meow behind her, making her heart race with excitement.
"Little guy, why are you still here? Hurry up and go."
Xiao Kuang unlocked her armor, revealing her small mouth, and gave the cat a sweet kiss on its face.
"Meow..." The cat looked at Xiao Kuang with its big watery eyes.
"Thank you~ Hurry and leave, ah, little baby be good." Xiao Kuang gently stroked the cat's back and tossed it to the roadside.
The big cat cooperated perfectly with Sister Sasa, making a skilled and elegant leap, landing on the ground and looking back at Xiao Kuang before walking towards the nearby sidewalk.
"Wow—" The zombies did not want to stay idle; even though the leading zombie hesitated, those behind it rushed forward without knowing better.
George watched the cat head towards the coffee shop by the roadside and finally let out a relieved laugh, shouting at the Soulless: "Welcome to the Capital of Killing!"
"Kill—"
A helicopter shone its searchlight, capturing live footage over the fiery streets as waves surged toward each other from both sides, eventually converging into a tumultuous tide on the street.
In the command room, everyone except General Jiang was dumbfounded—this scene was something they would only see once in their lifetime; it was worth it.
"Your... your troops... are zombies?" The superior's trembling finger inadvertently pointed at General Jiang's profile reflected in the battle scene.
"These are not my troops." General Jiang knew he could not explain clearly to them and could only say, "These are good people, on our side."
"But..." The superior was unwilling to believe that these monsters could be—good or human.
Taking a deep breath, the superior called over a subordinate beside him and said, "Go prepare."
"Understood."
The subordinate hurriedly left the command room. General Jiang frowned slightly, tilting his head to glance at his superior.
What else could be prepared at this point?
General Jiang remained silent but quietly looked at another large screen.
" zero zero seven is following two unidentified flyers, over."
The helicopter pilot looked in amazement at the Fierce Eagle and Blue Face Hero flying from the side of the aircraft.
"Aha, we're on TV now," Blue Face Hero said.
"Are you happy? It's not my first time on TV anyway," Fierce Eagle joked.
At that moment, he noticed a heat source appearing in the thermal imaging scan he had accidentally activated; there was actually a heat source in this empty city!
Could there still be civilians who hadn't evacuated?!
However, he thought it was unlikely; according to military protocol, they would ensure that all citizens had evacuated from here.
Fierce Eagle couldn't help but glance towards the residential area where the heat source was located; just as this heat source was about to disappear from his field of vision, he decisively marked its location.
They had arrived at the coordinates marked by Xiao Ling. Below them was a dark alley; the two exchanged glances and began to descend slowly.
"Thud."
Their toes lightly touched down, and Blue Face Hero's bright eyes illuminated the alley before them like a pair of flashlights.
"Meow—"
Fierce Eagle cautiously extended his hand, immediately raising the laser cannon in the arm of Crimson Phoenix armor to aim at several pairs of eyes in the darkness.
Blue Face Hero blocked him, directing his gaze towards a nearby trash can.
Several small cats with bright blue-green eyes stared intently at the two of them.
"Uh..."
The two stared at each other, unsure of what was happening. There was no sign of Miao Chengmin here, but there was a large charred mark on the ground.
He wouldn't have self-immolated, would he?
Fierce Eagle was quite frightened by this thought.
Suddenly, the small cats in front of them began to bare their teeth, their fur standing on end, looking quite terrifying.
Just when Fierce Eagle thought they had scared the cats, Blue Face Hero, relying on his years of combat experience, did not hesitate to pull Fierce Eagle to turn around—
"Hello again."
The snowflakes in the air panicked and tried to flee in other directions, but the north wind insisted on blowing them towards the gray-white monster wrapped in shadows, causing the snowflakes to scream as they were mercilessly absorbed into Zombie Queen's energy field.
"I knew you would come too."
The second generation of Crimson Phoenix armor enhanced close combat abilities; two blazing blades extended from Fierce Eagle's arms, and two Gauss Cannons were already mounted on his shoulders.
Blue Face Hero's Tianchuang Gloves began to charge up, a ghostly blue aura lifting the scarf-cape around his neck.
"Oh, don't rush to your deaths, you two. I have no leisure to play with you."
As soon as the words left her mouth, a large horde of zombies surged out from behind Zombie Queen. The two clearly saw that these Soulless were mostly dressed in military uniforms; some even had no heads yet still twisted their bodies.
"Beasts!" Fierce Eagle could no longer hold back and spread his wings. The Thruster ignited as he fired the Gauss Cannon and lunged at Zombie Queen.
However, Zombie Queen merely tilted her body slightly; Fierce Eagle couldn't dodge in time and plunged into the Zombie Horde. The horde roared and overwhelmed Fierce Eagle, as if he had been devoured by the gaping mouths of the zombies.
"Xiaotian!" Blue Face Hero felt a surge of worry seeing so many zombies pile onto Fierce Eagle. He just took off when a cold light flashed before him; Zombie Queen had teleported right in front of him and sent him flying with a single punch.
"Ugh!"
Blue Face Hero crashed into the wall at the end of the alley with a thud and fell down, kneeling on the ground while gasping for breath.
"But I seem to have suddenly taken an interest in you, Kumler People," Zombie Queen said slowly as she approached. "If I remember correctly, there was news one day from Divine Realm saying that Kumul was completely conquered by Ban Sa, and the prince of Inner Beings escaped—seems like he ran to... our home?"
"You don't deserve to call this your home, you scoundrel." Blue Face Hero looked up at Zombie Queen with no fear on his face.
Zombie Queen sensed something rushing towards her; looking up, she saw two clones of Blue Face Hero descending from above, swinging laser crescent blades towards her neck!
