You, who come from my hometown, 0
Must know the affairs of my hometown. 0
On the day you arrive before the ornate window, 0
Have the cold plum blossoms bloomed yet? 0

This poem expresses the poet's deep longing for his hometown through concise language. The "you" in the poem refers to someone visiting from his hometown, and the poet hopes that this person can bring news from home. "Affairs of my hometown" refers to various situations and changes back home. "On the day you arrive before the ornate window" depicts a day the poet looks forward to, when he can reminisce about his hometown with the visitor in front of a beautifully decorated window. The final line, "Have the cold plum blossoms bloomed yet?" is the poet's inquiry about whether the cold plum trees have blossomed, as they often bloom in the cold winter, symbolizing resilience and purity. This also expresses nostalgia for the natural scenery of his hometown. 0

The entire poem reveals the poet's infinite affection for his hometown and his yearning for news from home. Through questioning, he conveys his deep feelings for his homeland and anticipation for the visitor. 0

**Story Scene:** 0

In my courtyard, spring is in full bloom. 0
The warm spring sun shines through the window panes, illuminating my writing desk. 0
I sit quietly, but my thoughts have already drifted far away. 0
Oh, hometown! 0
It was once the starting point of my life and now serves as my soul's refuge while I wander afar. 0
I pick up my pen and pour my deep emotions into its tip, writing on paper: “Where is my hometown at dusk?” 0
The strokes are light yet firm, each word infused with profound longing. 0
Before my eyes, images of my hometown's landscapes and loved ones seem to emerge, 0
Along with those who have left their marks on my life. 0

Home is like a loving mother, embracing me and allowing me to feel the deepest warmth in the world. The memories of the past, like fine rain, have soaked every corner of my heart, making it soft and clear. I gently set down my pen, raised my head, and looked out the window. The gentle breeze brushed against my cheeks, refreshing my spirit. 0

I know that I have been away from home for many years, but my longing for it has never ceased. That affection and love for my hometown have become a part of my life, flowing through me like blood. I yearn for the day when I can return to my hometown, to once again feel its breath on that familiar land and see those I hold dear. 0

Just as I was immersed in thoughts of home, a sudden knock at the door interrupted me. "Knock, knock, knock..." The sound was crisp and loud, instantly pulling me back from my reverie. I got up to open the door and saw a young scholar standing outside, his face beaming with a smile as he cupped his hands in greeting. 0

"Brother Wang, long time no see!" A warm smile appeared on my face as I quickly returned the greeting, saying, " Brother Li, it's good to see you! Please come in!" This young scholar's name is Li Han; he is a dear friend of mine who often visits from afar to bring me news from our hometown. 0

I welcomed him into the courtyard, and we sat down together. The spring breeze was gentle, and the sunlight was warm. We faced each other and began to chat casually. "On my journey here, I passed through many places," Li Han said with a smile. "I saw many beautiful sights and interesting events and heard numerous legends and stories." 0

I listened quietly, filled with emotion. Li Han's words were full of love for our hometown while also revealing his concern for me. He knew that I had always missed home. 0

I tried hard to say something interesting, hoping to alleviate my homesickness. I looked up at him, his spirited demeanor making me smile slightly. 0

"Brother Li, thank you," I said softly, gently patting his shoulder. I knew this was his kindness towards me, and I felt deeply grateful. In this spring courtyard, our friendship seemed to deepen even more. 0

"By the way, I brought some news from our hometown," Li Han suddenly said. 0

"Oh?" I perked up at his words, "Brother Li, please tell me." I was eager to hear about my hometown, the place I had always missed. 0

Li Han smiled and slowly said, "I visited your hometown; it hasn't changed much, still the same old place." 0

"But..." he paused before continuing, "every family is thinking of the wanderers far away." Hearing this made a warm current surge in my heart. My relatives and friends were missing me, which touched me but also made me feel a bit guilty. 0

"Thank you for telling me this, Brother Li," I said softly. 0

Li Han nodded and didn't say much more. I looked up at the scenery in the courtyard, feeling a mix of emotions. The sights of my hometown floated in my mind; I seemed to see the familiar faces of my relatives and friends. 0

"Brother Li," I suddenly asked, "has the winter plum blossom at my home bloomed yet?" I thought of the winter plum tree by the window that I had planted myself before leaving home. It bloomed every spring, emitting a faint fragrance. 0

"It seems it hasn't yet," Li Han pondered before replying, "but it will be soon." 0

I nodded, feeling nostalgic for that winter plum tree at home. "Has the winter plum blossom at my home bloomed yet?" I asked again. 0

"It seems it hasn't yet," Li Han thought for a moment and said, "but it will be soon." 0
