This is a young man of similar age to Ren Pingsheng, dressed in a purple long robe, standing eight feet tall with a strong build. Upon closer inspection, he has thick eyebrows and big eyes, a chiseled face, and long hair that falls to his shoulders, casually tied back. He holds a long knife made of shark skin in his hand.
However, at this moment, his expression is quite vivid, filled with curiosity and anger. His large eyes are fixed on Ren Pingsheng. He has now realized that he has been dragged into this situation. This is definitely an undeserved disaster!
"You little brat, you actually have backup," the middle-aged man said upon hearing Ren Pingsheng's shout and seeing someone emerge from behind the tree; his expression changed. However, when he saw the newcomer’s cultivation level, he began to laugh.
"Heh heh, just a Mid-Level Warrior. Even if you have help, you won't escape. Our Yunxing Sect's Elder is already on the way."
"How dare you hurt me! Today, you all will pay the price!" The old man with a goatee shouted furiously as he stopped the bleeding from his wound. The fact that he was forced into such a state by a younger opponent of lower cultivation was unbearable for him.
"Hey, friend, they won't let us go. How about we team up to deal with this trouble?" Ren Pingsheng whispered to the young man not far away.
"You still have the nerve to talk about teaming up? I'm innocent here! You despicable guy dared to frame me. It's already a stroke of luck that I’m not causing you trouble," the young man shouted angrily.
"Heh heh, why be so heartless, my friend? Do you really think they will let you go?"
"Hmph, I can't be bothered with your affairs." He glanced at the three men and turned to leave.
"Kid, where do you think you're going? You all will stay here today!" The middle-aged man and the Goateed Elder immediately lunged forward—one targeting Ren Pingsheng and the other going after the young man—attacking without mercy.
"Damn it! How dare you attack me? Do you really think I'm easy to deal with?" The young man's anger flared as he faced the middle-aged man's assault. Drawing his long knife from its sheath, he clashed with the middle-aged man's longsword. In an instant, air surged around them as both retreated a step, evenly matched.
"Hey, since we're in this together, let's be friends. I'm Ren Pingsheng; what's your name?" Ren Pingsheng asked with a light laugh while dodging the Goateed Elder's attacks.
“Situ Kong. Let's deal with the trouble first. As for friends, we'll see if you're qualified; not just anyone can be a friend,” Situ Kong said with a harsh tone. Being dragged into this mess by Ren Pingsheng for no reason, he couldn't maintain a good demeanor.
“Uh... fine! Let's solve the trouble first,” he said with a bitter smile, shaking his head and focusing on the enemy before him. A Mid-Level Warrior was not much of a challenge for him. Without the cooperation of the middle-aged high-level warrior, he could quickly take care of it.
“Kid, you just humiliated me; I will repay you double,” Goateed Elder said, each punch carrying immense force, creating gusts of wind as he struck. Trees that were accidentally brushed against shattered into pieces.
“Old man, you talk too much. Without anyone else around, I'll take you down in minutes,” Ren Pingsheng chuckled lightly, his figure swaying around him as sword shadows stabbed in from all directions.
“Child's play; fists break through all!” he roared, throwing a punch that sent dozens of fist shadows sweeping outwards. Half of them headed straight for Ren Pingsheng.
Ren Pingsheng’s Longsword trembled in his hand as waves of sword energy surged downwards, dissipating along with the fist shadows.
“Then you can try mine, Raging Wind Thirteen Kills!” At the moment he blocked the attack, Ren Pingsheng’s figure blurred, and twelve figures appeared simultaneously, unleashing twelve sword energies that overwhelmed Goateed Elder. He found himself caught up in a flurry of punches and kicks.
“Slash!” He leaped into the air, his sword radiating an overwhelming aura as it came down. Gale Thirteen Swords was perfected; it could create twelve figures and unleash twelve sword energies to threaten the enemy. Then the twelve figures merged into one for the strongest strike.
“Puff…” In an instant when Goateed Elder was entangled by the twelve sword energies, Ren Pingsheng’s sword struck down onto his head. He barely managed to raise his hand to block it, but was still heavily injured and sent flying while spitting blood.
Not one to miss such an opportunity to beat down a drowning dog, Ren Pingsheng naturally would not let it go. He lightly swayed and appeared beside Goateed Elder, his sword unhesitatingly slashing towards his throat.
Goateed Elder’s eyes showed panic as he prepared to raise his hand to block again. However, when he inadvertently caught sight of Ren Pingsheng’s eyes, he felt a momentary daze before being jolted awake by pain.
“Uh… you…” Goateed Elder clutched his throat, horrified as he pointed at Ren Pingsheng. Just now, the momentary opportunity created by Ren Pingsheng using Sword Momentum had completely sealed his fate.
"You see, I told you long ago that you are no match for me, what a pity for your life." Ren Pingsheng smiled lightly, seemingly to himself. The Goateed Elder's eyes widened, and he immediately lost his breath.
"Ah, you despicable little thief, I will definitely kill you." Seeing the Goateed Elder dead, the middle-aged man immediately changed his expression and turned to attack Ren Pingsheng, completely ignoring Situ Kong behind him.
"Situ Kong, I'm really disappointed in your strength; you can't even deal with him. Do you need my help?" Ren Pingsheng said calmly to the charging middle-aged man.
"Hmph, I don't need you to interfere in my battle." Situ Kong snorted coldly and took advantage of the middle-aged man's distraction to slash several times, unleashing a surge of True Qi that hit the middle-aged man directly, sending him flying away. He was headed straight for Ren Pingsheng.
The power of that strike should not be underestimated; the middle-aged man spat out a mouthful of blood. However, his expression was fierce as he quickly charged towards Ren Pingsheng, looking as if he was determined to take them both down together.
"Damn it, Situ Kong, you're not being fair with this move!" Ren Pingsheng exclaimed upon seeing this. He still wanted to live well and didn't want to fight to the death, so he hurriedly dodged aside.
But the middle-aged man seemed to have gone mad, slashing with his sword without any defense, each attack aimed at mutual destruction. If it were any other time, Ren Pingsheng wouldn't be afraid of such tactics. He could usually handle it with just a few injuries. But now there was someone else nearby; he didn't want to expose the existence of his Thousand Silk Armor.
"Hehe... you just played me a trick; now we're even." Situ Kong laughed heartily as he watched Ren Pingsheng awkwardly dodging.
"How can someone as strong as you be so petty like a woman?" Ren Pingsheng retorted irritably before his figure blurred and disappeared.
All around were flickering figures. The middle-aged man ignored them and slashed with his sword; the sword energy burst forth like a fountain, shredding all the illusions. Then he turned around and tried to kill Ren Pingsheng again.
"Is this ever going to end? Don't think that just because you're not afraid of death means you won't die." Being chased in such an awkward manner made him lose his temper. He stepped forward, disappearing into thin air, then struck from the side towards the middle-aged man. The middle-aged man turned and blocked; Ren Pingsheng reappeared in front of him and slashed again.
In an instant, the middle-aged man could only keep defending himself as the sounds of clashing swords echoed around them along with sparks flying everywhere. Ren Pingsheng moved like a gust of wind around the middle-aged man, continuously attacking with faster strikes. Each sword strike was powerful and did not weaken even after dozens of attacks.
"Ah!" The middle-aged man's speed finally failed him this time, and he was sent flying by a sword strike. Ren Pingsheng, however, flickered and appeared above him. He could only raise his sword in time, but it was struck down, crashing him to the ground and creating a pit.
"Slash!" At this moment, Ren Pingsheng did not relax at all. A light golden sword energy, filled with endless sharpness, slashed down into the pit. The sound of roaring and screams echoed one after another.
After a while, as the dust settled, the middle-aged man in the pit was already on the brink of death. He had three deep wounds on his chest, the deepest one nearly cleaving him in half, blood soaking him in a glaring red.
"Sigh, why bother! I have no enmity with your Yunxing Sect, yet you insist on pursuing me to the death. It's just a pity for your lives," Ren Pingsheng said with a long exhale, his tone full of helplessness.
The middle-aged man's eyes still stared hatefully at Ren Pingsheng; if looks could kill, Ren Pingsheng would have died hundreds of times by now.
"Rest easy!" He raised his hand, and a beam of sword light struck the middle-aged man's heart. It was a mercy to help him find release from his suffering sooner.
"Oh, you're still here. Why haven't you left?" Seeing Situ Kong standing nearby with a long knife, coldly watching him, Ren Pingsheng asked in surprise.
"Why should I leave? Shouldn't we settle our accounts?" Situ Kong replied with a grin.
"Strange, what accounts do we have?"
"Still playing dumb? You dragged me into this conflict; you don't think I would just forget it so easily, do you? Shouldn't you pay some compensation?"
"Why should I give you compensation? I killed both of them with my own hands; you didn't contribute anything," Ren Pingsheng said innocently as he shrugged.
"You... If I hadn't held one of them back for you, could you have dealt with the other one so quickly?"
"Well, then I should say thank you, right? Are you satisfied now?"
"Bastard, take this!" Situ Kong's face turned red with anger as he swung his long knife, the blade flashing like water pouring out. This furious strike was undeniably powerful.
Ren Pingsheng jumped back in surprise, not expecting this guy to have such a volatile temper and to strike without warning. He quickly slashed with his longsword, merging it with the Sword Momentum, and in an instant, both their attacks dissipated simultaneously.
"Alright, let me borrow another strike." He turned his body, gripping the knife with both hands, and slashed diagonally. A three-foot-long blade of True Qi shaped like a crescent moon seemed to cut through the void and flashed right in front of Ren Pingsheng. The strong wind whipped his long hair and made his clothes flutter.
"Not bad!" Ren Pingsheng narrowed his eyes, causing the longsword to tremble as he unleashed nine strikes in an instant. They all struck at the weakest point of the blade-shaped True Qi, directly shattering the attack.
He didn't even move his feet; he was using the Seven Star Sword Technique. Now he had practiced it to the point of ten consecutive strikes, reaching the Perfected State of the Mystic Level Low Rank Sword Technique. One step further would lead him to the Mysterious Level Intermediate Sword Technique.
"Haha... I didn't expect your strength to be quite impressive. As a magnanimous person, I won't hold it against you. Consider it a lesson for you," Situ Kong said with a hint of surprise on his face before sheathing his long knife and smiling.
"Should I feel honored by that?" Ren Pingsheng couldn't help but curl his lip, feeling quite dissatisfied with this somewhat capricious guy.
"I'm afraid the people from Yunxing Sect will be chasing us soon. I'm leaving now; what about you?" He glanced at Situ Kong, gathered his spoils, and asked once more.
"Then let's go together; I was planning to leave anyway and wasted too much time here." Situ Kong's eyes shifted as he immediately suggested they travel together.
Ren Pingsheng didn't say anything else; within moments, the two disappeared.
