“Celestial Emperor! The ceremony has begun,” Yu'er announced.
“Hmm.” Yang Chen nodded slightly but didn’t hurry his pace; thus Yao Tianshang and Yu'er accompanied him slowly.
After an hour’s walk together they finally arrived at Mingyue City—this was indeed faster than their previous three-hour journey.
Upon entering Mingyue City they found themselves surrounded by crowds; thousands filled the streets.
In the center of the crowd under Tian Fengxue's guidance stood Tian Mingyue who took off her crown and held it in her hands with vacant eyes saying: “Thanks to the Holy Mother's great favor in conferring me as saintess of our holy land; however I am deeply aware that my strength is insufficient so I resign from my position.”
“Agreed!” Tian Fengxue nodded affirmatively saying: “Since Saintess Mingyue resigns from her position let Tenghui take over.”
“Yes, Holy Mother,” Tenghui replied respectfully before stepping through the crowd towards Tian Mingyue saying softly: “Holy Mother!” Then she whispered: “Saintess.”
