Chapter 20: Colorful Azure Scale Skin
With no other choice, Yang Chen jumped off the back of the Demon Face Spider and used Ghostly Step to leave its attack range. Realizing he could no longer approach the Demon Face Spider, Yang Chen reluctantly retreated to a safe area. On his sixth slash, he finally extracted a fourth-tier third-grade Magic Core. Two seconds to kill a Fourth-Order Monster? Even for someone as experienced as Lu Ying, it was astonishing.
“Heavenly Kill Camp Leader, you go entangle another Fourth-Order Monster. I need to recover my Fighting Spirit, and then we can hunt another one.” After saying this, Yang Chen headed toward the area with second-tier Demon Beasts. Without merging with other Heroes weapons, attributes would not increase.
"Captain Tian, prepare. Deceptive Ghost Step! Cunning!" As soon as the words left his mouth, Yang Chen appeared behind the Nine-Legged Centipede that Lu Ying was battling, stabbing down fiercely with both daggers! Lu Ying seized the opportunity, piercing the abdomen of the Nine-Legged Centipede with his longsword, pinning it to the ground. No matter how much the Nine-Legged Centipede struggled, it was futile. Lu Ying swiftly drew two daggers from his hands and mercilessly stabbed them into the neck of the Nine-Legged Centipede. With a twist of his hands, a deep wound appeared on its neck, visible to the bone. "Members of Po Jun will coordinate with Tian Sha to hunt Level Four beasts at Fighter level; those below Fighter level will hunt remaining Level Two and Three beasts." Zhang Tian was unsure where Lu Ying got his confidence from in sending Fighters to hunt Level Four beasts. However, he was reluctant to let his Po Jun members take that risk.
Hearing Zhang Tian's orders, Yang Chen nodded in appreciation. Zhang Tian did not follow suit just because Lu Ying sent Fighters to hunt Level Four beasts. This indicated that Zhang Tian understood the strength of his Po Jun camp. Furthermore, he did not possess any so-called vanity; he did not try to show off anything in front of the captain during their first team battle.
"This person can be entrusted with great matters," Yang Chen said quietly.
"The captain is right; Zhang Tian has no ulterior motives," Eagle Tian Yi expressed his viewpoint while Li Mu nodded in agreement.
