The train suddenly came to a halt. She thought they had arrived at the station, but through her slightly opened eyes, she saw several Sergeants rushing over. They were holding guns and checking each passenger, stopping right beside her. 0

She hadn't had time to grab her belongings before they hurriedly set off again, and now she could only hope for leniency from the Sergeants. However, those Sergeants were not so easy to deal with and took her back with them. 0

The dark detention center was crowded with a mass of people. 0

She was roughly shoved into a room. Looking around, it seemed that about ten people were locked in this room. 0

"Mom, look, they've caught another one," a child said in a childish voice. The child's mother was an ordinary Middle-Aged Woman who glanced at Cheng Mosu, slightly taken aback, and whispered, "Shh, don't speak. She won't be here long." 0

Cheng Mosu was momentarily stunned and smiled lightly as she asked, "Why does this lady say I won't be here long?" 0

The Middle-Aged Woman shook her head anxiously like a rattle drum. A Long Gown Man beside her took over the conversation, saying, "Miss, you look like someone from a wealthy family; your family will surely find a way to get you out." 0

Cheng Mosu stopped speaking. Her face showed signs of fatigue, but her Water Eyes remained bright as ever. She casually tidied up a spot; although she was reluctant to get her Qipao dirty, she truly needed to rest due to exhaustion. The Long Gown Man probably felt bored as well and sat down beside her, casually asking, "Miss, why are you in such a hurry to go to Feng Province? Is there something urgent?" 0

"I..." She thought for a second or two and ultimately decided to answer truthfully. "The person I love is in Feng Province. I'm worried something might happen to him, so I rushed over." 0

"I see. Miss, you are loyal and caring; that gentleman is indeed fortunate." 0

"And you? Why are you going to Feng Province?" 0

The Long Gown Man sighed and shook his head. "I am a University Teacher. Recently I took leave to return to my hometown, but the school has been urging me to come back quickly these past few days. My students are waiting for me to teach them; I can't afford to delay even a moment, so I rushed over. Who would have thought I'd run into people checking Passes on the way? Although the school will come to bail me out, I still have to stay here for a few more days." 0

"I see. Sir, you are also loyal and caring; your students are truly lucky." 0

While they were talking, the several Sergeants came over again. This time they not only had guns but also carried a small notebook. Pointing at Cheng Mosu, they asked, "You! Tell us your name, age, and place of origin!" 0

What rude people! Cheng Mosu frowned slightly and slowly stood up, casually brushing off the dust from her jade-white Qipao. Unhurriedly and gracefully, she moved with light steps that maintained elegance even in this small dark room. 0

Standing before the Sergeants who deliberately avoided looking at her, her rose-colored lips parted slightly. "Please add 'please' when you speak in the future. Without mutual respect, I have the right to refuse to answer any questions you pose." 0

"Stupid woman! Who do you think you are? Do you believe I won't shoot you?" 0

"Do as you please." The water-colored eyes were filled with a cold light, lightly drifting over them. 0

"You!" The man steadied his emotions and turned away. Another nearby Sergeant quickly asked, "May I have your name, age, and place of origin?" 0

"Cheng Mosu, seventeen years old, Shanghai." 0

"Oh." The Sergeant wrote on the paper, suddenly looking up as if struck by electricity, staring at her intently. His speech became stammering, "Cheng Mosu, is that Miss Cheng from Shanghai?" 0

Cheng Mosu helplessly nodded, her gaze clear and cold. "Did you not just register my information?" 0

"Yes! Yes..." The Sergeant hurriedly nodded. "Miss Cheng, I apologize. We are just doing our duty by keeping you inside. Once your father arrives, you can leave. Please don't take offense." 0

Cheng Mosu smiled lightly and had no time to deal with them further. "I understand you have to follow the rules; I won't blame you, so don't worry." She turned away, and the way people looked at her changed slightly. The cramped room seemed to draw a line between them, each person eager to keep their distance from her. She helplessly curled her lips; it seemed the power of that Limerick still lingered. 0

Only the gentleman in a long gown stood close to her, and they continued their lively conversation. 0

"So it's Miss Cheng; I've heard much about you." 0

"Heard much? Then perhaps what you've heard isn't very flattering." She teased with a smile. "I still don't know how to address you." 0

"I also share the surname Chen, but I'm Ear East Chen," Mr. Chen said with a smile. "That Limerick has indeed spread widely in the community, but discerning individuals can tell it was crafted with intent. Miss Cheng need not concern herself with their words; life is always one's own and has nothing to do with others." 0

She was slightly taken aback; it was rare to hear a supportive voice. Her rose-colored lips couldn't help but curve upward as she smiled gently, "Thank you, Mr. Chen." 0

"In my view, Miss Cheng's determination to head north in search of her husband during such a critical time is already commendable—far better than those who only speak coldly about it." 0

Her face flushed slightly, and her heart stirred. "Mr. Chen is joking; I am not formally married to him." 0

"As long as you are determined in your heart, that is enough." Mr. Chen smiled and said, "I wish you and Mr. Shangguan a lasting bond, perfectly matched." 0

A faint smile appeared on her bare face; the words from a stranger felt so warm. Before she could respond, the voice of the Sergeant rang out from outside, "Miss Cheng, please come out. Your Pass has been delivered." She nodded and glanced back at Mr. Chen, who waved his hand to urge her to hurry outside. She smiled lightly as a farewell and stepped out of the room. 0

The light outside was surprisingly bright. She raised her hand to shield her eyes, but the harsh light stubbornly illuminated every corner of her body. She squinted to adjust to the change in brightness until the warmth she felt began to fade away. Only then did she slowly lift her gaze, finding Feng Yin looking anxious in front of her. 0

"Miss, are you hurt? Did they do anything to you? After you left, I immediately informed Master, and he sent someone to find your Pass and rush it over to you. Is there anything wrong?" 0

Cheng Mosu smiled slightly, "It's nothing. Let's hurry and buy tickets for the Train." 0

"Miss Cheng, I'm afraid we can't take that Train anymore; there won't be any trains to Feng Province for a while." 0

"What?" She widened her eyes in disbelief. "But I have urgent matters! What other ways are there to get to Feng Province?" 0

The several Sergeants exchanged troubled glances. "You could ride a horse over, but Miss, it might be..." 0

She bit her lip. Riding was something Shaoyi had personally taught her; she was confident in her skills. However, the journey from here to Feng Province was quite long and not very safe. What if something else happened... 0

She closed her eyes briefly, her bare face calm as water, and her voice flowed out like a captivating melody. "Please prepare a horse for me, and also find me a gun." 0
