This time, the boast was too big, and the embarrassment was overwhelming. Yeh Zhenzhen's fair cheeks turned a deep shade of red, her watery eyes quietly darting around. The teacher's voice drifted past her ears, leaving no trace behind. Her peripheral vision fixed on Cheng Mo Su, whose snow-like profile was exceptionally beautiful. Long eyelashes covered her water-colored eyes, and her rose-colored lips gently trembled as she read out a series of pure and melodious French phrases. 0

As a fellow woman, Yeh Zhenzhen couldn't help but admire Cheng Mo Su's ethereal beauty. 0

The bell rang, signaling the end of the class. 0

Cheng Mo Su stretched slightly, and Xiao Zuowei smiled gently at her. The sunlight bathed the youthful faces of the two, carrying a hint of vibrant youthfulness. 0

"How are you? Tired?" Xiao Zuowei's gaze was fixed on Cheng Mo Su, his tender affection leaving no room for anyone else. Meanwhile, Yeh Zhenzhen watched in a daze, as if this tenderness was directed at her, trapped in it and unable to escape. 0

Cheng Mo Su lightly shook her head, two small dimples appearing briefly. "It's quite interesting." 0

The two shared a silent smile; their long-standing rapport made silence comfortable rather than awkward. 0

"Um..." Yeh Zhenzhen stepped between them, casually adjusting her short hair that brushed her ears. The bangs slightly obscured her underlying shyness. "I... I... Miss Cheng, I didn't mean to impersonate your cousin. I just felt so moved by your story with General Shangguan that when I mentioned it to my classmates, I may have exaggerated a bit..." 0

Cheng Mo Su paused for a moment; she hadn't given the matter much thought and was about to say it was fine when Xiao Zuowei spoke up first with an unusually serious tone. "Miss Yeh, regardless of how you feel inside, please do not mention him in front of Xiao Su again." 0

Yeh Zhenzhen bit her lip, her eyes welling up with tears. Cheng Mo Su quickly stopped Xiao Zuowei and smiled gently at Yeh Zhenzhen. "Brother Zuowei means no harm; please don't take it to heart. Also, I didn't mind the story you told; there's no need for you to feel sad." 0

"Is that so..." She raised her eyes to meet Cheng Mo Su's gentle smile. "Then... if Miss Cheng doesn't mind, that would be wonderful. Can we be friends?" 0

"Of course." Cheng Mo Su nodded lightly and pulled Xiao Zuowei closer. He also eased his emotions and returned to his usual warm demeanor as he extended his hand toward Yeh Zhenzhen. "I was too abrupt earlier; please don't take it to heart. I'm Xiao Zuowei; it's a pleasure to meet you." 0

"Hello." She broke into a big smile, rivaling the sunlight outside, with her lips curving upward in a way unique to young girls, making one unable to resist longing and indulging. 0

After exchanging pleasantries for a while, it was time for a new class. 0

Watching the flowers wither, the maple leaves dance, and the rain and snow swirl, it dawned on her that she had actually been in France for quite some time. 0

The confusion she felt upon arriving had dissipated, replaced by a sense of understanding. Like all her classmates, she rushed through the streets and alleys, visiting every corner of the city. She witnessed many joys and sorrows, and over time, those memories that once tugged at her heartstrings began to fade; if she didn't think too much about them, they no longer hurt. 0

"Mo Su, Brother Zuo Wei, shall we go play polo together today?" Through their time spent together, Yeh Zhenzhen had become friends with them, and her way of addressing them naturally changed. 0

Cheng Mo smiled lightly. Yeh Zhenzhen spoke with such enthusiasm and innocence. She looked at Xiao Zuo Wei, "Brother Zuo Wei, are you going?" 0

"You two go have fun. I’ve become the librarian today," he replied with a gentle smile as he looked at the two girls in front of him. Cheng Mo had become much more cheerful than before; she was no longer as delicate as she used to be. This truly pleased him, and he attributed Cheng Mo's change to Yeh Zhenzhen, which naturally made him more affectionate towards her. "Little Su, Yeh Zhenzhen, don’t come back too late after playing. I’ll treat you to dinner; I found a Chinese restaurant yesterday that has great food." 0

"Wow! Thank you, Brother Zuo Wei." Yeh Zhenzhen clapped her hands excitedly, her eyes sparkling like stars as she linked arms with Cheng Mo. "Then Mo Su, let’s hurry up and go." 0

At the polo club, they were rare Asian faces among the crowd. After playing for a while, Cheng Mo started to feel exhausted. Although Yeh Zhenzhen wanted to continue playing, she also needed to take care of her friend. The two had no choice but to call for a carriage, turning their polo outing into a leisurely carriage ride. 0

By the time they returned to school, it was already getting dark. Xiao Zuo Wei had finished his work long ago and changed into light-colored clothes. He stood straight by the roadside waiting for them. 0

Cheng Mo wore a gentle smile on her face; out of the corner of her eye, she noticed that Yeh Zhenzhen's fair cheeks were flushed with color. 0

"You two are really slow; I've been waiting here for quite a while. Let’s go," he said as he reached out to pull Cheng Mo close, worried she might get bumped by pedestrians or vehicles. Yeh Zhenzhen pouted and ran to his other side, linking her arm through his. Xiao Zuo Wei's dark eyes flickered instinctively wanting to pull away; however, Yeh Zhenzhen held on tighter like a koala clinging to a tree. 0

Cheng Mosu gently covered her face, hiding her smile, while Xiao Zuowei looked helpless and could only say, "Yeh Zhenzhen, why are you holding on so tightly?" 0

"Because you're holding Cheng Mosu just as tightly. We're all good friends, so I want to be like her," Yeh Zhenzhen said, raising her eyes, her bright and beautiful smile shining. 0

The crowd that brushed past the three of them unconsciously cast curious glances their way. Xiao Zuowei paused and released Cheng Mosu. "If I'm not holding onto Xiao Su anymore, please let go of me too." 0

Yeh Zhenzhen pouted, unconcerned, and reluctantly released her grip, sticking out her tongue at him. "Fine, if you don't want to hold on, then I won't." 0

Only then did Xiao Zuowei relax his expression, but Yeh Zhenzhen made an even more troublesome move. She stood in front of him, her gaze focused and serious. "Brother Zuwei, there's something I think you've already noticed: I like you!" She glanced at the stunned Xiao Zuowei and Cheng Mosu, her smile widening. "But I can see that you like Cheng Mosu. That's okay; you like your own thing, and I like mine. We won't interfere with each other." 0

Cheng Mosu furrowed her brows. She had finally made a friend and was worried that these matters would create distance between them. However, Yeh Zhenzhen clung to her arm as before. "Cheng Mosu, don't worry. If you like Brother Zuwei, we can compete equally; this won't affect our friendship at all." 0

She waved goodbye to the two who were still in shock. "I'm heading back to the dorm now; you guys go eat. See you tomorrow!" 0

The wide street blurred with the passing crowd as Cheng Mosu and Xiao Zuowei stood quietly together, as if this way they could bypass the things they had to face and the answers they had already come to in their hearts. 0
