"The Secret Treehouse Club"
Deep in a quiet forest, there stands a tall oak tree, its sturdy branches concealing a forgotten treehouse. The children of the town often play in the woods, but no one has ever discovered this secret place.
Until one day, four good friends—Amy, Ben, Lily, and Xiao Hao—stumbled upon the treehouse during their adventure. It looked a bit worn down, but still sturdy.
"Wow, look at this! We found a secret base!" Amy exclaimed excitedly.
Ben climbed up the ladder and peeked into the treehouse. "This is so cool; we can turn it into our club."
Lily and Xiao Hao followed him up, and the four kids stood on the small platform of the treehouse, gazing at the surrounding trees and the distant town.
"We should give this club a name," Xiao Hao suggested.
"How about the Secret Treehouse Club?" Lily said enthusiastically.
"Okay, let's call it that!" the other three kids agreed unanimously.
They decided to renovate the treehouse to make it their gathering place for sharing secrets. The kids divided up tasks: some cleaned, some painted, and others decorated. After much effort, the treehouse was transformed.
"We need to set some rules," Amy said as she took out a notebook to record the club's regulations.
Ben thought for a moment and said, "The first rule is that only true friends can join our club."
Lily added, "The second rule is that we should help each other, whether happy or sad."
Xiao Hao also suggested, "The third rule is that we must keep each other's secrets."
As time passed, the Secret Treehouse Club became the children's most treasured secret. They shared stories in the treehouse, solved problems together, and even made wishes under the starry sky.
One time, Amy faced some difficulties and felt very sad. She confided in her friends about her troubles in the treehouse.
"Don't worry, Amy; we'll help you," Ben comforted her.
Lily and Xiao Hao also expressed their support. With their friends' help, Amy gradually overcame her challenges and felt warm and grateful. "I'm so glad to have you all," Amy said with tears in her eyes. "We are members of the Secret Treehouse Club—forever friends," Xiao Hao replied with a smile.
"The Time Capsule"
On a sunny afternoon in a corner of town, three good friends—Xiao Mei, Aze, and Xiao Lin—sat under an ancient oak tree, each holding an item that was very special to them.
"Should we bury these items and dig them up ten years later?" Xiao Mei suggested with curious eyes.
Aze responded excitedly, "Great idea! That way we can see if we remember today's promise ten years from now."
Kobayashi nodded in agreement, "Then let's call it the 'Time Capsule'!"
Without hesitation, the three children got to work. Xiaomei placed a diary filled with stories inside, Aze put in his favorite baseball, and Kobayashi added a photo of the three of them together.
"We need to choose a secret location that only we know," Xiaomei said mysteriously.
They found a secluded spot, dug a small hole, carefully placed the capsule inside, and then covered it up neatly, placing a small stone on top as a marker.
"Ten years from now, we'll come back here and open the capsule," Aze said seriously.
"No matter where we are by then, we must remember to return," Kobayashi added.
The children held hands and formed a circle, making their promise. Then, each wrote down their wishes and dreams on a piece of paper, folded them into paper airplanes, and released them into the sky together.
Time flew by, and in the blink of an eye, ten years had passed. Xiaomei became a writer, Aze a professional baseball player, and Kobayashi a photographer. Although their lives took them to different places, they never forgot the promise made that summer.
Finally, the day they had agreed upon arrived. The three friends returned from different locations to the oak tree where they had buried the capsule. They found the spot where they had buried it years ago.
"I remember the day we buried the capsule as if it were yesterday," Xiaomei said with emotion.
Aze carefully dug through the soil and uncovered the rusty iron box: "Time Capsule, we meet again!"
They opened the capsule and saw the items they had placed inside years ago. Xiaomei's diary had yellowed with age, Aze's baseball was covered in signatures, and Kobayashi's photo had become blurry over time.
"Look, this is my diary that recorded all our childhood memories," Xiaomei said as she opened it, tears glistening in her eyes.
Aze picked up the baseball: "This baseball witnessed my dream of becoming a professional player."
Kobayashi gently touched the photo: "Our friendship is even more vibrant than the colors in this picture."
They sat together under the oak tree, sharing their experiences and changes over the past decade. Although time had altered their appearances and lives, their friendship remained unchanged.
"Our friendship is like this Time Capsule; it can withstand the test of time," Xiaomei said passionately.
Aze and Kobayashi nodded in agreement: "No matter what the future holds, we will always be best friends."
