I stood by the window of the library, looking out at the pitch-black night, feeling a turmoil in my heart. If I really walked through that door, what awaited me ahead would be endless danger. Maybe I would die there. But I couldn't back down. I had to face it. 0

At dawn, we set off to find the ancient tomb. The car swayed along the mountain road until it finally couldn't go any further. The rest of the journey had to be completed on foot. 0

When we stood at the entrance of the tomb, goosebumps covered my entire body. A chilling sensation rose from the ground. The tomb was completely covered by vines and weeds, as if even nature wanted to hide the secrets here. I gathered my courage and pushed open the stone door that was only half ajar. The door let out a piercing creak, as if warning us not to enter. 0

Behind the door was a dark passageway. A wave of dampness and a musty smell rushed toward us. The walls of the passage were etched with various symbols and patterns, all crooked and incomprehensible. They looked like marks left over a thousand years ago, almost like some kind of mysterious curse. 0

I quietly reminded them, "Everyone be careful; there may be dangers we don't know about." We walked along the passage until we finally reached the end of the tomb. There, against one wall, we discovered a rather remarkable array of symbols. The outer edge of this array was filled with those incomprehensible ancient characters. 0

Old Li stared at those characters, his expression becoming serious: "Hey, guys, I think I've seen these characters somewhere before." 0

"I've seen it in a few old books; it talks about a very ancient ritual." 0
"It is said that it can connect to another world." 0
I was startled and asked, "Old Li, do you think this place is the gateway to City of Forgotten?" 0
Old Li shook his head, "I'm not quite sure either." 0
"But I guess it might be a kind of teleportation magic." 0
"This kind of magic appeared in some ancient civilizations, but later no one understood it." 0
"If what the diary says is true, then we might have really found the right place." 0
I almost gasped, "So if we perform this ritual, can we find City of Forgotten?" 0
Old Li looked at me, his tone heavy: " 顧墨, things are not that simple." 0
"If this ritual goes wrong, it could cause a big mess." 0
"And none of us knows what might happen." 0
I fell silent for a moment. 0
Old Li was right. 0
If I messed up the ritual and something went wrong, I couldn't bear that responsibility. 0
But... 0
If we don't try, we'll never find City of Forgotten. 0
I turned back to look at the array on the wall. 0
The lines of the array were clear and glowing faintly. 0
"Old Li, if we can perform this ritual, maybe we can find some clues?" 0
Old Li thought for a moment and replied, "Maybe." 0
"But we need to figure out how to activate the ritual first." 0
I gritted my teeth and mustered my courage to say, "Then let me give it a try." 0
"I don't want to miss this opportunity." 0

Old Li widened his eyes and looked at me, " 顧墨, have you really made up your mind?" 0
I nodded vigorously. 0
This was something I had to do. 0
Old Li sighed and gently patted my shoulder, "Alright, then I'll accompany you." 0
So the two of us began to ponder how to initiate this ritual. 0
