Leaving the Azure Dragon Tomb, Li Rui and Old Monster took a boat to leave, but before they landed, they encountered a storm that scattered them.
After landing, Li Rui planned to visit Old Monster's home. That guy should have returned on his own, but he still needed to say goodbye.
Walking along the road, Li Rui admired the various flowers and plants in the surroundings. These flowers looked like cute friends, appearing very beautiful, which instantly lifted his spirits.
Li Rui felt particularly calm. After experiencing so many life-and-death situations, it was rare to find such tranquility. It seemed that Old Monster living in this mountain was indeed a good choice.
As Li Rui walked, a ragged child appeared before him. The child was thin and frail, with dirty hands holding a tattered bowl as they approached Li Rui.
"Brother, please help me. I haven't eaten in a long time. Could you give me some money to buy something to eat or just give me some food?" The girl looked at Li Rui with watery eyes full of pleading.
Seeing how pitiful the girl was, Li Rui couldn't bear to let her starve and naturally took out some money to put in her bowl.
The girl was overjoyed when she saw Li Rui giving her money. "Thank you, brother! Thank you!" She kept repeating these words, almost kneeling down. It seemed she hadn't received charity from others for a long time.
"Alright, sister, go buy something to eat. Make sure you don't starve yourself."
"Okay, thank you, brother." The girl happily walked away, revealing a sweet smile.
Li Rui gazed at the girl's back for a moment before continuing on his way. He wasn't one of those so-called saviors; he couldn't help every pitiful person like her, but if he could help a little when he saw someone in need, he would do so.
However, Li Rui overlooked one issue: how could there be children here? Wouldn't they be eaten by wild beasts?
After walking for a while longer, Li Rui finally arrived at Old Monster's home. Seeing that the door was closed, he walked straight over and pushed it open without knocking.
"How rude! Don't you know to knock before entering?" Old Monster said as he sat in a chair savoring his tea.
"Cut it out. If it were someone else, I might still knock, but since it's you, there's no way I'm going to knock. After all, we're so familiar with each other; knocking would just make it seem awkwardly distant," Li Rui said without any reservations as he sat across from Old Monster, picking up the teacup on the table and taking a sip, believing he was sharing some profound wisdom.
"Well, forget it. You've convinced me. But what do you want? I don't believe you came here just to drink tea," Old Monster replied leisurely, still stirring his tea without looking up at Li Rui.
"Clink."
After finishing his tea, Li Rui gently placed the cup back on the table, but it still made a slight sound. "Of course not. I'm here to say goodbye; I'm going to be away for a while."
Upon hearing that Li Rui was here to say goodbye, Old Monster paused his actions and then resumed drinking his tea. Although their conversations were often disjointed, he felt reluctant to part with Li Rui, especially since Li Rui had helped him many times.
"Got it. You can go now," Old Monster said after taking a sip of tea and letting out a deep breath. Despite his casual demeanor, he felt a sense of reluctance in his heart.
"Alright, take care of yourself while I'm gone," Li Rui said as he stood up and left, leaving behind only a deep silhouette.
After leaving Old Monster's home, Li Rui headed to another place. He was planning to pick someone up; mentioning Old Monster was just a casual note.
As Li Rui walked along, he arrived at a bustling area filled with people selling all sorts of goods. He strolled through the crowd, occasionally glancing around as if searching for something.
Suddenly, Li Rui smiled and quickly approached a very beautiful woman.
"Ruo Xin, have you been waiting long? Come on, let me take you to rest," Li Rui said as he led Ruo Xin away.
Li Rui brought Ruo Xin to a resting spot. "How are you? Are you tired? If you're exhausted, feel free to take a break."
Ruo Xin was indeed tired; after resting for a while, she fell asleep. When she woke up and saw Li Rui not far away, she walked over to him. "Thank you! I need to head back to my Sect now. I hope we can meet again someday," Ruo Xin said with a sweet smile before leaving.
Li Rui was momentarily stunned and had no choice but to return to his Sect.
As Li Rui walked along the path leading to the Sect, he kept thinking about Mo Ruxi's smile. "Damn, what's wrong with me? Why can't I stop thinking about her?" Afterward, Li Rui calmed down and stopped thinking about anything. Soon, Ruxi's sweet smile faded from his mind.
Upon arriving at the Sect, Li Rui skillfully headed in a specific direction. It didn't take long before he reached the end of the path, where there stood a very large building. From the outside, it looked imposing and magnificent.
This building was where Li Rui's Sect leader resided. Li Rui entered the building, which was decorated very luxuriously, resembling a palace. He walked into a room and paused to gently knock on the door.
"Come in," a commanding voice responded.
Li Rui straightened his clothes and then gently pushed open the door, only to see a person with their back turned, making it impossible to tell what they were doing.
"Greetings, Sect Leader," Li Rui quickly greeted the person in front of him.
"Mm, thank you for your hard work. Did you obtain the Yin Yang Grass?"
"I did." Li Rui took out the Yin Yang Grass and placed it on the table in front of him.
"Good, well done." The Sect Leader then chatted with Li Rui for a while.
"Um..."
The Sect Leader glanced at Li Rui, hesitating to speak.
Li Rui slapped his forehead and said, "Right! I almost forgot about the important matter. I've already found the Yin Yang Grass; please deliver it to Ruxi for her recovery. As long as she's okay, that's all that matters."
The Sect Leader saw that Li Rui had really brought back the Yin Yang Grass from Pure Yang to Pure Yin, and was beyond words with excitement; they could finally save Ruxi.
"Li Rui... thank you."
The Sect Leader looked at Li Rui. Although he was not strong enough yet, Li Rui was gifted, and perhaps Ruxi's choice of him was not wrong.
