At that critical moment, when we were on the verge of being engulfed by this strange space and its tentacles, a brilliant light suddenly illuminated the entire control center. It was the mysterious passenger who came to our aid. His figure flickered in the dazzling light, arms waving as if he were manipulating some mysterious power. The tentacles that had been reaching out toward us quickly retreated under the glow, and the surrounding space gradually returned to normal.
After regaining our composure, Lu Yuanbai and I stood facing each other, our hearts filled with joy akin to being reborn after a disaster. The mysterious passenger approached us slowly; although his complexion was slightly pale, it couldn't hide the concern in his eyes. "Are you both alright?" His words carried genuine care.
We both shook our heads in response, casting him grateful glances. He turned to look at the device behind us and sighed softly. "It seems you two have found your way back." His words revealed a hint of envy and relief. "Congratulations to you both." His gaze was filled with sincerity.
Lu Yuanbai and I exchanged knowing smiles; after enduring countless hardships, we had finally achieved our goal. "Thinking back to our first meeting on the train, I never imagined we would have such an opportunity today," I said with a tone full of emotion. "Mysterious passenger, thank you for your help." My voice was filled with deep gratitude. "If you hadn't arrived in time, we might have already encountered misfortune."
He smiled without speaking, simply watching us quietly. "In any case, we have always fought side by side, haven't we?" Lu Yuanbai said solemnly. We three shared a mutual understanding, and the atmosphere became warm and harmonious.
However, where should we go from here? My gaze fell upon the constantly rotating halo. The mysterious passenger slightly raised the device in his hand. "This object can stabilize the boundaries between Dimension," he stated firmly. "With this artifact in hand, perhaps we really can return to our original place." His eyes were filled with hope.
We stood before that magical halo, while the figure of the train conductor appeared so weak and powerless amidst the interplay of light and shadow.
The artifact in the hands of the mysterious passenger stabilized the boundaries between the Dimensions, and we knew that once we stepped into that enigmatic halo, our fates would become entangled with countless unknown variables.
"Are you really planning to trust this stranger?" I couldn't help but question, a hint of caution in my tone.
"In this chaotic Dimension, trust seems to have become an incredibly precious luxury," Lu Yuanbai said, gripping the mysterious passenger's hand tightly, his eyes shining with unwavering conviction.
"While we are willing to choose to believe in you, you must let us understand your entire plan."
The mysterious passenger gazed at us and then began to elaborate on his plan in detail. He explained how to use this artifact to stabilize the boundaries between the Dimensions and find a way back to the original world. His words were filled with confidence, compelling us to develop a sense of trust in him.
"Are you all ready?" The conductor's voice remained calm as water.
Lu Yuanbai and I exchanged glances once more and then nodded firmly.
The three of us linked arms and resolutely stepped into that mysterious halo. In an instant, a powerful force enveloped us tightly, and the surrounding scenery began to twist and morph into countless interwoven parallel worlds. The sensation was indescribable, as if we were traversing through a tunnel of time and space.
