"I was once the chief conductor of this train," he said, his words filled with pride.
"Due to a sudden accident, I and the train I managed have been trapped in this Dimension with no way to escape."
The story he told was laden with endless sorrow and pain, filling our hearts with deep sympathy.
"Here, time seems to be distorted; I have been trapped for so long that I have almost forgotten myself," his voice gradually grew somber.
"I wander in this endless darkness, always unable to find a way out."
"I cannot rescue myself or the train I oversee; I can only watch helplessly as it carries me into an endless cycle."
He looked up, his eyes filled with despair and helplessness.
"It was only with your arrival that I saw a glimmer of hope," a hint of expectation crept into his tone.
"You are braver than I am, wiser than I am."
"You successfully found the central control room and discovered a way to escape this place."
I gazed at him, my heart swirling with complex emotions.
"So how can we assist you?" I asked softly.
The conductor stared deeply at us and then said quietly, "Find the way back."
His eyes suddenly sparkled with light, as if he saw the shores of hope.
"Perhaps through the central control room, you can find a way back to the real world."
"Please help me find it; let me and my train escape this predicament," his tone was filled with sincere request.
I exchanged glances with Lu Yuanbai again, our eyes intertwined with complexity and contradiction.
Helping him would undoubtedly lead us into more unknowns and risks.
But if we did not extend a helping hand, how could our conscience find peace?
"We will never give up on the conductor," Lu Yuanbai's voice was firm and powerful.
A determined light flickered in his gaze.
Under the conductor's guidance, Lu Yuanbai and I reached the deepest part of the control center.
In this mysterious place, we discovered an astonishing device.
The surface of the device was covered with many unknown symbols, and at its core was a slowly rotating halo that emitted a faint glow.
"This is the key to accessing various Dimensions," the conductor's voice quietly echoed behind us.
"However, the boundaries between Dimensions are not easily crossed; they are filled with endless unknowns and dangers." His gaze conveyed a deep warning.
I exchanged glances with Lu Yuanbai, our hearts filled with tension and anticipation.
We began to attempt to decipher the symbols on the device, each symbol potentially representing a different Dimension, and every choice we made could lead to unpredictable consequences.
As we delved deeper into our research, the device emitted a low hum, and the rotation speed of the halo gradually increased, causing the surrounding space to begin to twist and distort.
We held each other's hands tightly, preparing for the impending impact.
With the activation of the device, space began to warp and transform, and we felt a powerful pulling force, as if countless invisible hands were tearing at our bodies.
We shut our eyes tightly, silently praying that we could endure.
A sharp screech pierced our eardrums; it was a threat from other Dimensions, as if they had sensed our intrusion.
In the chaos, the conductor shouted for us to be careful while waving his hands, seemingly controlling some kind of power.
We strained to open our eyes and saw cracks appearing all around us, from which countless tentacles emerged, twisting and lunging toward us.
These tentacles were cold and strong, carrying an aura of terror that transcended this world.
