"What's wrong?" Shangguan Ying'er noticed that Ling Mo Xie had suddenly fallen silent and asked him curiously.
"It's nothing; let's go into the city!" Ling Mo Xie shook his head and replied calmly. There was nothing wrong; perhaps he was just feeling things incorrectly?

The Wind Second Master, skilled in close combat among cultivators, gripped Ling Mo Xie's shoulder with his hand infused with Spiritual Energy, making it feel as if his shoulder blade might shatter.
“What are you doing?” Both Ling Mo Xie and Shangguan Ying'er exclaimed in unison at the soldiers.
At that moment, noticing that other civilians had turned to look at the commotion, Wind Second Master feared that Ling Mo Xie would be recognized. He leaped into the air with Ling Mo Xie still in his grasp, while another disguised soldier from the Feng Family, Zhou Butler, quickly grabbed hold of Shangguan Ying'er and followed suit.
All this happened in a flash; the civilians were still unclear about what was happening. Facing their puzzled gazes, the soldiers from the Feng Family simply explained calmly: “Those two are spies for Feng Qian Guo. They are very dangerous. Just go about your business and forget this matter.”
Hearing such responses from the soldiers, although some civilians felt something was off, they could only shake their heads and walk back into the city. Matters concerning officials were not something they lowly cultivators could interfere with.
Meanwhile, Ling Mo Xie, now far away thanks to Wind Second Master, felt his stiffness fade away. Almost immediately, he unleashed a powerful attack called Shocking Return to Ruins towards Wind Second Master. This was his strongest skill so far.
“Hmph!” With a cold snort, Wind Second Master had no choice but to evade this attack; otherwise, even he would suffer serious injuries if struck directly.
