"Speak!" Ling Mo Xie said as he sat down in a chair, looking at Bai Yunfei.
Bai Yunfei jumped up, fell back heavily into the sofa, adjusted himself into a comfortable position, and then calmly said to Ling Mo Xie, "I looked over the information you gave me about the Eastern City Association collected by the Ling Family, so I paid special attention to whether they had any Beast Pets around them."
"And then? What was the result?" Ling Mo Xie asked somewhat dissatisfiedly, feeling that this was not much of an answer.
Bai Yunfei merely glanced at Ling Mo Xie and then said with some confusion, "I didn't notice how many people had Beast Pets with them; perhaps the incident from a few years ago was too big, causing them to be more restrained? However..."

Now Ji Chen has another fox by his side; there's definitely some connection! Moreover, you mentioned that there’s an aura making you afraid to approach; that doesn't seem like the power of ordinary thugs. You are from the Illusionary Void Sect!"
After hearing Bai Yunfei's words, Ling Mo Xie looked at him and said affirmatively.
"What should we do now? Zeng Zhou's wife is still alive and has been given to Ji Chen as a little brother. Should we still deal with them? That aura..."
Upon hearing Ling Mo Xie's analysis, Bai Yunfei irritably rubbed his head and asked him.
Ling Mo Xie merely nodded gloomily. "We promised Zeng Zhou; we can't back out now."
"But..." Bai Yunfei wanted to say something more when Shen Yan, who had been silent until now, stepped forward and said to Ling Mo Xie, "This sounds quite interesting; take me along when you go!"

Ling Mo Xie looked at Chen Yan with suspicion, crossing his arms as he questioned him.

Seeing Ling Mo Xie's doubtful gaze, Chen Yan simply glanced at him lightly and said, "You wouldn't understand even if I told you. Just remember to call me when you go; otherwise, you can just wait to die! Xuanhu is not that easy to deal with."
Upon hearing Chen Yan's words, Ling Mo Xie squinted his eyes. It seemed that Chen Yan indeed knew something, at least about the Xuanhu!
Ling Mo Xie wanted to ask Chen Yan more, but he returned to his usual disinterested demeanor and sat off to the side in a daze.
Ling Mo Xie exchanged glances with Bai Yunfei. Bai Yunfei looked at Chen Yan and then back at Ling Mo Xie, saying, "Boss, where did you get this guy? He seems even more arrogant than you! Look at his small frame; how dare he talk big?"
Ling Mo Xie gave Bai Yunfei a speechless look. "What are you talking about? You're the one being arrogant!" Then he glanced at Chen Yan again and uncertainly said, "Maybe? He might not be talking big after all?"
Ling Mo Xie stroked his chin, seemingly talking to himself but also explaining to Bai Yunfei: "Chen Yan is indeed very mysterious—his appearance is mysterious, his identity is mysterious, and his abilities are mysterious. Although he has followed me back, I don't know anything about him other than his name."
Chen Yan shot a glare at the two who were staring at him and then turned to run away, leaving Ling Mo Xie and Bai Yunfei looking at each other in confusion.
"Cough! Alright, you go see when Ji Chen has fewer people around and goes out alone so we can ambush him. As long as we take out the leader, those aimless little thugs will be like a pile of loose sand; it won't be difficult at all!" Ling Mo Xie cleared his throat lightly and instructed Bai Yunfei before heading toward the Study Room.
He still needed to read more books. Of course, he wasn't looking for cultivation manuals but rather information about this world and geographical knowledge. After all, he still needed to find Azure Cloud Valley and Zhou Xinyi. When he first crossed over and was at a loss for what to do, it was Zhou Xinyi who protected him like a guardian.

Bai Yunfei looked at the departing Chen Yan and Ling Mo Xie, sighed, and said with a bitter smile, "Sigh! It seems our status is even lower than that of a spirit beast; they make me do all the work?"
Despite his complaints, Bai Yunfei still headed towards the direction of the Eastern Guild.
At this moment, within the Eastern Guild, Ji Chen was still sitting high above, with ten small thugs below him, all of whom were his subordinates. Of course, these subordinates could only be considered significant within the context of the Eastern Guild.

The atmosphere was tense; the ten small thugs seemed to be blaming Ji Chen for their worries. After all, Ji Chen had caused them unnecessary anxiety. Just a few days ago, they were drinking and feasting freely, living carefree lives. But recently, they had been on edge and constantly vigilant.
Hearing the noise from below, Ji Chen rubbed his temples; these guys were really pushing it!
Suddenly opening his eyes wide, Ji Chen shouted, "Enough! Are you blaming me?"
With this shout, the hall immediately fell silent. After a while, someone murmured softly, "How could we dare? But... Boss, can you at least give us an explanation?"
