Ling Mo Xie took a step forward, continuing to reach for the command token. He accidentally kicked the table leg and fell towards Bai Yunfei, knocking him to the ground. Fortunately, one hand supported him on the floor while the other had already grabbed the token from Bai Yunfei's hand.
"Creek!" The sound of the door opening came, and Ling Mo Xie reflexively turned his head. At the doorway, Sun Xiaoxiao stared blankly at the scene inside the room, her mind a complete blank.
However, Ling Mo Xie did not notice anything wrong with the situation and asked dumbly, "What's wrong? Xiaoxiao?"
Sun Xiaoxiao came back to her senses, blushing as she glanced at Ling Mo Xie and stammered, "N-no, it's nothing! You all continue; I'm leaving!" With that, she slammed the door shut and hurried away.
Sun Xiaoxiao covered her flushed face, her mind racing with thoughts. What should I do? What should I do? I know Mo Xie's secret now; will he hate me? No! Why should I care if he hates me? Someone like him, humph!
Ling Mo Xie watched Sun Xiaoxiao's actions in confusion as he stood up. It wasn't until he looked at the token in his hand that his expression changed. Damn it! What’s going on? Could it be that Sun Xiaoxiao misunderstood something?
Ling Mo Xie quickly stuffed the token into his backpack and opened the door to chase after her. He saw Sun Xiaoxiao had already left his small courtyard and was walking along the bamboo path beside it.

As she spoke, she forced a smile that made Ling Mo Xie feel dazzled like sunlight—too glaring.
"I've already said it, we don't have anything going on! My sexual orientation is perfectly normal! Besides, we've only known Bai Yunfei for a day, right? Don't overthink it!" Ling Mo Xie said irritably, grabbing Sun Xiaoxiao's hand.
"It hurts!" Sun Xiaoxiao frowned at Ling Mo Xie's eager explanation, pointing at her hand that was being squeezed by him. Her delicate hand was turning slightly blue and deformed in his larger grip.
Ling Mo Xie was taken aback and quickly released Sun Xiaoxiao's hand. "I'm sorry, I was too eager to explain! But you have to believe me, there's really nothing between me and that girl!" Ling Mo Xie kept explaining, feeling wronged himself.
Sun Xiaoxiao, however, looked at Ling Mo Xie with disbelief and said nothing.
Feeling defeated, Ling Mo Xie asked weakly, "Alright, what do I have to do for you to believe me?"
Sun Xiaoxiao pouted and replied, "Unless you can prove it to me!"
Ling Mo Xie was dumbfounded. How could he prove something like this? Looking down at Sun Xiaoxiao, who was giving him a look that said he should just accept it, Ling Mo Xie's eyes lit up with a mischievous thought. Although I can't prove I don't like men, I can prove that I like women!
Instead of the acknowledgment he expected from Ling Mo Xie, Sun Xiaoxiao let out a surprised scream as she was pulled into his embrace. She looked up at him in astonishment, only to see his handsome face gradually coming closer until his cool lips pressed against hers.
Due to her surprise, Sun Xiaoxiao's mouth opened wide, allowing Ling Mo Xie to deepen the kiss. A nimble tongue slipped into her mouth like a serpent, and the sweet taste made Ling Mo Xie slightly squint his eyes. He tightened his hold on her, a wave of heat rising from his lower abdomen that left him somewhat disoriented.
"Ah!" Ling Mo Xie suddenly snapped back to reality and instinctively released Sun Xiaoxiao. She darted away like a startled rabbit, disappearing in just a few moments. Left standing there dazed was Ling Mo Xie, with a vivid streak of blood at the corner of his mouth.

"Haha, haha! Serves you right!" Just as Ling Mo Xie was tangled in thoughts about whether this counted as proof or not, a boisterous laugh rang out. He didn't even need to look to know who it was; it had to be that rascal Bai Yunfei. As long as he was enjoying himself at Ling Mo Xie's expense, that was all that mattered.
Following the sound, Bai Yunfei was sitting on the threshold of his room with his legs crossed, munching on a piece of fruit. He was looking at Ling Mo Xie through the sparse bamboo grove, pointing at him and laughing heartily.
Ling Mo Xie rolled his eyes and wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth, a metallic taste lingering in the air. However, he couldn't help but recall Sun Xiaoxiao's sweet kiss, causing his mind to waver. He then shook his head and laughed at himself, wondering what was wrong with him.
Looking at the path where Sun Xiaoxiao had left, he thought to himself that this should count as proof, right? He turned back to his room, where that brat Bai Yunfei was still sitting at the door, grinning as he watched Ling Mo Xie's predicament.
"How can you still laugh? Aren't these things all caused by you?" Ling Mo Xie kicked Bai Yunfei in the rear. It was unclear whether Ling Mo Xie had kicked him out or if he had jumped out on his own, laughing all the way.
Ling Mo Xie shook his head and closed the door, hoping that Sun Xiaoxiao wouldn't continue to misunderstand him! Otherwise... he actually wouldn't mind proving himself a few more times. Ling Mo Xie gently touched his lips with his slender fingers, a carefree smile often adorning his face suddenly replaced by a simple smile.
"Better count my gains quickly! I've been delayed for so long; I need to strengthen my abilities to deal with the Zheng Family. Plus, the secret of the Fengyun Sword is waiting for me to uncover it. Ling Mo Xie shook his head, trying to dismiss thoughts of Sun Xiaoxiao from his mind. Realizing how busy he truly was made him understand that he needed strength!
He opened his backpack and took out four Intermediate Experience Pills. Ling Mo Xie examined the elixirs; they had some strange patterns on them that looked like gibberish. Could they really be safe to consume? Given Ling Mo Xie's doubts about the safety of these experience pills, he decided to put them back in his backpack and clicked to use one directly.
