As Shangguan Ying'er said, a series of creaking sounds emerged, and a swirling formation known as the Entrance appeared before everyone. This was the entrance to the Ruins.
Seeing the Entrance appear, everyone rushed towards it without hesitation. Naturally, those at the forefront were Zhou Buzhi, Xiao Qingyu, and Shangguan Ying'er. However, just as Ling Mo Xie was about to follow Shangguan Ying'er into the Entrance, a figure suddenly dashed toward it and cast a spell at Ling Mo Xie.
Hmph! Trying to steal my position? Ling Mo Xie glanced at the rushing figure, and a sinister smile appeared on his face; it was the person who had previously thrown a fake Dragon Snake Fruit at him!
What a coincidence to meet an enemy here! Ling Mo Xie unleashed a Glimpse of the Stunning Swan Sword Light towards that person. The young man hurriedly tried to dodge but was too late, and his arm was severed by the Sword Light. He turned in shock towards the direction from which the Sword Light had come.
“It’s you?” the young man exclaimed in surprise. He had not broken the formation himself; instead, he had quietly approached the area around where the Entrance appeared while others were focused on breaking through. He had planned to enter first when the Entrance opened, but those who managed to enter ahead were all powerful individuals. What could he do? He thought of leveraging his previous conversation with Shangguan Ying'er and aimed to use Ling Mo Xie as a breakthrough point.
He never expected that Ling Mo Xie would be so formidable and that they would end up as rivals!
Ling Mo Xie smiled slightly, his lips moving, “Yes, it’s me! Go ahead!” Two consecutive Fireballs then struck the young man, sending him flying far away, while Ling Mo Xie acted as if nothing had happened and followed closely behind Shangguan Ying'er into the Ruins.
All of this happened in the blink of an eye; even the following Sect Disciples did not see what had transpired. They only noticed a figure rushing toward the Entrance, which was instantly followed by a burst of flames as that figure flew back out.
Once inside the Ruins, Ling Mo Xie looked around and realized that they were standing on a formation surrounded by massive buildings. Of course, now they were merely ruins, but from the ornate patterns on the broken bricks, one could still tell how luxurious this place once was.
Shangguan Ying'er glanced around and saw that Ling Mo Xie was also observing his surroundings. She then looked at a stone plaque on the ground; the words Azure Cloud Palace were somewhat damaged but still recognizable.
“Now that we’re here, let’s all rely on our own abilities!” Zhou Buzhi said as he surveyed their surroundings, prompting a chorus of agreement from the other Sect Disciples.
However, Shangguan Ying'er ignored them and said to Ling Mo Xie, “Let’s go! The reason I came to the Azure Light Secret Realm is for this Ruins. I heard there’s a Spirit Herb Garden inside, and I’m here to find some Spiritual Medicine. You’re an Alchemist, so let’s go together!”
"Alright! Let's go!" Ling Mo Xie nodded and followed Shangguan Ying'er along the now faint path towards the medicinal herb garden of the ruins.
"You all..." Zhou Buzhi watched Ling Mo Xie and Shangguan Ying'er leave, clenching his fists and gritting his teeth as he muttered, "If you have the ability, just keep following Shangguan Ying'er!"
As Ling Mo Xie walked among the ruins, he heard a sound but didn't turn around; a faint smile lingered on his lips. Shangguan Ying'er showed no hesitation, heading straight down a path and not pausing at any corners.
Ling Mo Xie asked curiously, "Have you been to these ruins before? How come you're so familiar with it? And you don't trigger any formations?"
"Hehe!" Shangguan Ying'er giggled a few times and replied, "Although I haven't been here, the seniors of our sect have! Every time the ruins open, our sect sends outstanding young disciples to come; it's sort of a trial! I'm here this time because the ruins opened. Otherwise, for such a small secret realm, sending some inner disciples would be enough."
Ling Mo Xie nodded. So this is what a sect is like? It certainly seems much stronger than a family clan. If the families in Tianfeng City knew there was a secret realm, they would probably fight tooth and nail to get in. Unlike Shangguan Ying'er's Azure Emperor Sect, which doesn't even care; they only send slightly more capable disciples because the ruins opened.
Following Shangguan Ying'er, they encountered no dangers along the way. Soon, they caught a whiff of fragrant herbs and saw a large gate that had not completely collapsed yet. The sign for the medicinal herb garden hung askew, as if it could fall at any moment, exuding an air of decay.
"Let's go! We’re going in!" Shangguan Ying'er said with a glimmer of excitement in her eyes as she spotted the medicinal herb garden. She stepped forward into the garden.
"Roar!" A long howl echoed as a green shadow streaked past Shangguan Ying'er, rushing out from the medicinal herb garden with a whoosh.
"Ah!" Shangguan Ying'er was startled by this sudden turn of events and fell to the side. Without thinking, Ling Mo Xie rushed over to help her up and asked worriedly, "Are you okay?"
"I'm fine! I'm fine!" Shangguan Ying'er sat up while patting her chest to calm herself. Suddenly her eyes widened in alarm as she shouted, "Watch out!" She had already formed a hand seal, sending a flickering golden light rushing towards Ling Mo Xie's back.
"Boom!" "Roar!" With a loud crash, a mournful and furious roar erupted. Ling Mo Xie quickly pulled Shangguan Ying'er up and turned around.
Before him was a gigantic skull, resembling that of a dragon, but with a single horn protruding from its forehead. Its enormous eyes were a fiery red, swirling with Black Qi. The body stretched seven to eight meters long, covered in ominous scales, and the entire form was a ghastly green.
"What is this?" Ling Mo Xie exclaimed, his eyes widening in surprise. Could it be the legendary dragon? After a moment, he remembered he still had the Detection Skill and quickly activated it on the massive green creature.
