Qiu Ruolan staggered out of the Toilet, hearing people discussing "Ocean Star." She casually pulled over the astonished female Special Guest, a newly debuted model.
"What’s going on? What are you all discussing?" Qiu Ruolan tightly grasped the model's bare arm.
The woman dared not resist, her face showing distress, but eventually revealed the truth, "They lost 'Ocean Blue'..."
"What? Lost it, Qiu Hai! Where is Qiu Hai?" Qiu Ruolan was taken aback and began to loudly call for Qiu Hai.
Jolie saw that she had already startled Qiu Ruolan, achieving her goal, and lightly loosened the collar of the staff member, "Sister Sally is angry; hurry and find the chairman!"
Liu Jian had initially not noticed anything unusual until the banquet hall fell silent and everyone began discussing "Ocean Blue," at which point he realized something had happened.
His first reaction was to look at Autumn Wind. Noticing that Autumn Wind was just as shocked as the fish, he then rushed to the back.
Qiu Hai was carefully checking the surveillance monitors when he saw Liu Jian rush in in a panic. He looked up and asked, "What’s wrong? What happened?"
"Something happened outside with 'Ocean Blue.' Is it true?" Liu Jian leaned over to look at the monitor and immediately understood; something indeed went wrong.
He didn’t continue to ask questions but focused on the monitor. The footage clearly showed someone entering the gown storage area when the staff member left. The lighting was a bit dim, but it was evident that it was a woman wearing a mask, hat, and a long trench coat.
At that moment, the staff member who had been grabbed by Jolie also hurriedly ran in, "Chairman, Sister Sally already knows about this. What should we do?"
Qiu Hai filed a report of the surveillance footage and then exited the hall.
Autumn Wind and the fish were originally standing in the middle of the banquet. After hearing that the gowns were lost, the fish pulled her over to Qiu Ruolan's side.
"Sister Sally, are you okay?" The fish gently linked arms with Qiu Ruolan.
Autumn Wind had neither seen nor heard of "Ocean Blue," so she felt no sense of the seriousness of the situation.
She stared wide-eyed at Qiu Ruolan's angry face, wanting to say something but not knowing how to comfort her, so she just stood quietly beside her.
After such a long time, Autumn Wind still couldn't learn to be insincere.
Qiu Hai and Liu Jian walked out from behind. When they appeared in front of everyone, Qiu Hai whispered a few words to the staff and then turned to say a few words to Liu Jian.
Then they stood in front of everyone. As soon as Qiu Hai and Liu Jian appeared, reporters immediately surrounded them, asking for the truth of the matter.
Seeing that they could no longer hide it, Qiu Hai sighed deeply, "Everyone, please remain calm. It's not as bad as you think!"
"What exactly happened? Will the press conference for 'Ocean Blue' still be held as scheduled?"
"Yes, that's Sister Sally's beloved item. Wasn't there someone assigned to take care of it?"
"Sister Sally, Sister Sally, do you have anything to say about this?"
Qiu Ruolan's mood had slightly calmed down. She realized her reaction had been too intense. Taking a moment to compose herself, she said nothing and linked arms with Yu, walking towards the back. "I'm sorry, I'm feeling a bit unwell. I'll answer questions later!"
Autumn Wind was swept away by the crowd and couldn't keep up with Yu's pace. In the push of the crowd, Autumn Wind stumbled and nearly fell.
She saw Y() in the corner being escorted away by staff, leaving only Jak sitting at the table. She thought about going over but didn't move; the crowd surged toward Qiu Hai again.
"Hey, don't push!" Autumn Wind shouted, but she was pushed onto a long table filled with food, her dress brushing against a cake.
Immediately afterward, a cup filled with juice tipped over, spilling orange liquid onto Autumn Wind's clothes, mixing with the light blue to create a dark color that slowly dripped down to her legs.
Autumn Wind frowned. Oh no, Yu isn't here either. What should I do?
She casually picked up a tissue from the table and first dealt with the cake.
Then she thought about going to the toilet to clean herself up, but there were many models gathered there, making it impossible to go. Sighing, her gaze shifted to Jak in the corner. Well, let’s have Jak cover for her!
Wobbling over to Jak, Yao Guanghao beat her to it and sat down on the stool, greeting Jak, “Hi, Jak, long time no see!”
“It’s you!” Jak enthusiastically patted Yao Guanghao on the shoulder. Looking up, he saw Autumn Wind and noticed the liquid on her clothes. He immediately stood up and rushed over to her. “Autumn Wind, what happened?” He reached out to touch the dark substance. “It’s orange juice! We need to deal with this quickly; if we don’t, your clothes will be ruined. Where’s the fish?”
Yao Guanghao also stood up, squinting as he noticed some liquid on Autumn Wind's fair thigh. “Did you bring a spare outfit?”
Autumn Wind frowned and thought for a moment; there might be one in the trunk. She wanted to take out her phone to ask Uncle Liu to bring it, but then remembered her phone was on the fish. Looking down at the stain, she felt that going to get clothes from the car would take too long. She smiled at Yao Guanghao and Jak before heading toward the door.
At this time, Qiu Hai was explaining something to a reporter, while Liu Jian had disappeared somewhere.
As she walked through the crowd and reached the entrance, just as Autumn Wind was about to go out, she was stopped by a staff member at the door. “Sorry, Sister Qiu, the chairman has instructed that no one is allowed to leave!”
“But my clothes are dirty! I need to change!” Autumn Wind tugged at her fringed garment stained with orange juice.
“I’m sorry, Sister Qiu. You know what’s happening; please don’t make it difficult for us!” the staff member replied.
“But…” Autumn Wind bit her lower lip, looking like a wronged girl without any of her usual authoritative demeanor.
After Qiu Ruolan's emotions calmed slightly, her assistant entered the lounge.
Not expecting such an incident to occur, Qiu Ruolan had no choice but to share a lounge with Yao Guanghao.
The fish noticed Huang Zihe resting and then remembered that Autumn Wind was still outside alone.
She rushed out during the break, scanning the entire area but did not see any sign of Autumn Wind. After grabbing Jak, she learned that Autumn Wind's dress had gotten dirty. She hurried to the entrance and noticed Autumn Wind standing there looking wronged.
"Hey, Autumn Wind, oh no, how did it get so dirty! There are spare clothes in the car, right?" Yu grabbed Autumn Wind's hand and was about to rush outside, while the staff at the door remained calm.
"I'm sorry, you can't go out!"
"Can't you see her dress is dirty? Are you going to make her wear that dress?" Yu's voice was loud. "She's the manager of the Public Relations Department and the second largest shareholder in HK. Aren't you afraid of losing your job with this attitude?"
Yu was enraged and brought up Autumn Wind's identity. "Besides, you know her relationship with Sister Sally; what you're doing is questioning her!"
The staff remained unmoved. "I'm sorry, this is the chairman's order!"
Jolie leaned against the wall in the distance, coldly watching Autumn Wind with a smile that was hard to suppress.
Qiu Hai had just finished answering questions from reporters and let out a long sigh. Turning around, he heard shouting at the entrance.
Frowning, he walked over. "What’s going on?"
"Chairman!" The staff responded respectfully upon hearing Qiu Hai's voice, clearly treating Autumn Wind with more courtesy. "Sister Qiu's dress got dirty; she wants to go back and change..."
"Her dress is dirty?" Qiu Hai raised an eyebrow and looked at Autumn Wind. His gaze traveled down from her abdomen to the tassels scattered on her thighs. "Is it orange juice?"
Autumn Wind nodded; the orange juice on her thighs had become sticky, and she rubbed her legs together.
"Chairman, look, this way Autumn Wind will be uncomfortable; it would be bad if she catches a cold!" To gain sympathy, Yu exaggerated the situation.
"A cold? Is it that serious?" Qiu Hai scanned Autumn Wind again and slowly approached her until he was almost whispering in her ear. "Will this be uncomfortable?" His warm breath brushed against Autumn Wind's face, causing her cheeks to flush. Was this considered blatant?
From a distance, Jolie saw Qiu Hai approaching Autumn Wind, seemingly retreating. Was he going to let Autumn Wind go out by himself? No, if Autumn Wind went out alone, it wouldn't be good...
Jolie took a deep breath. Even though she was a bit scared to approach Qiu Hai and worried about getting slapped by the fish, she still mustered the courage to walk to the door. "What are you talking about? Oh my, Autumn Wind, what's that on your leg?"
She reached out her hand and lifted the tassel stuck to Autumn Wind's thigh, inadvertently revealing his underwear.
Her hand was immediately caught by the fish. "What are you doing? This is not something you can just mess with!"
The fish forcefully pushed Jolie's hand aside. "Show some respect, or I won't hold back!"
"She's just concerned about Autumn Wind! Why are you being so fierce?" Jolie scoffed. "Autumn Wind, you need to change your clothes quickly; otherwise, you'll catch a cold!"
Was she really considering Autumn Wind? The fish looked at Jolie in disbelief.
"You’re making things difficult for Sister Qiu; do you not want to keep your job? It's just a dress that got lost! Is it really worth making such a fuss? Sister Qiu has always had poor health; didn’t you know?" Before the fish could look at Jolie again, she revealed her true colors.
"It’s an order from the chairman; we’re just following it!" The staff member looked aggrieved.
"Alright, stop arguing!" Qiu Hai intervened. "Did you bring a driver? Have him come up!" Qiu Hai raised an eyebrow.
The fish wanted to say something else when Autumn Wind tugged at her clothes and said, "Call Uncle Liu. I remember the clothes I bought last time are still in the trunk; just have him bring one up!"
The fish didn’t respond and obediently picked up her phone, just about to dial.
Suddenly, Jolie reached out her hand to snatch the phone from the fish's grasp.
Seeing a hand coming towards her, the fish turned to dodge, but Jolie's hand hooked onto the phone, causing it to fall to the ground with a crash.
The phone fell to the ground, and the screen cracked instantly, making a loud noise that startled the previously quiet reporters, who quickly gathered around.
Jolie hadn't intended to drop Autumn Wind's phone. At the sound of the fish's scream, her face turned pale, but she still tried to maintain her composure.
The fish had already grabbed Jolie by the neck, and Jolie's eyes widened. "What do you want to do?!"
Out of the corner of her eye, she saw the reporters closing in and felt a sense of support. She forcefully pulled the fish's hand off her neck. "We can't let her make a call. What if she took the dress and hid it somewhere?!"
"I spit! Where on her can she hide a dress? What reason does she have to steal it? Stop slandering!" The fish spat at Jolie and then bent down to pick up the phone.
"Then why is she so eager to go out?" Jolie leaned closer to the reporters.
"Are you blind? Can't you see the dirt on her? Who was it that said Autumn Wind was feeling unwell and couldn't handle the cold? Let me tell you, if Autumn Wind faints again, I won't let this go!" The fish said fiercely, her lips twitching slightly; it was a signal for Autumn Wind to pretend to faint so she could teach Jolie a lesson.
"That still doesn't make sense. Everyone is here, and she's the only one going out. It's too suspicious... right, everyone?" Jolie rallied those around her.
Immediately, someone in the crowd echoed, "Yeah, Sister Qiufeng, that's a bit inappropriate!"
"Alright, everyone stop talking!" Qiu Hai's roar came through.
