When Fish returned to the villa, Autumn Wind and Oke had already finished lunch.
Sister Liu carried Oke to the bedroom for a nap, while Autumn Wind sat at the dining table, keeping Fish company during lunch.
Fish lowered her head, focusing intently on her meal.
"Did you see him today?" Autumn Wind asked gently.
"Um..." Fish replied briefly. She was no longer as arrogant as she had been in the morning; her mind was filled with the image of Liu Jian smashing glass and blood spilling everywhere.
"Is he doing okay?" Autumn Wind observed that Fish's reaction seemed off and asked cautiously.
"Do you still care about him?" Upon hearing Autumn Wind's question, Fish immediately responded but quickly sensed something unusual. She didn't continue but instead put down her chopsticks and stared intently at Autumn Wind.
The tone of Autumn Wind's earlier words gave the impression that she was quite familiar with Liu Jian. Fish squinted her eyes, scanning every inch of Autumn Wind's face like a detective, not wanting to miss any clues.
Autumn Wind avoided Fish's gaze. "Why are you looking at me like that?"
"Are you hiding something from me?" Fish mischievously winked at Autumn Wind.
"What could I possibly be hiding? If you're done eating, let Sister Li clean up..." The look in Fish's eyes made Autumn Wind feel a twinge of fear. She quickly changed the subject, "I'm tired; I'm going upstairs to rest!"
She rushed toward the stairs and hurried upstairs. When she opened the bedroom door, she still couldn't shake off Fish.
After she entered the bedroom, Fish followed her in. "Hey, Autumn Wendy, don't think you can hide anything from me... What are you keeping from me?" Fish shouted her nickname, her eyes sparkling with an intensity that was hard to meet.
"There's nothing! I'm going to sleep now; you need to leave!" Autumn Wind took off her shoes, crawled under the covers, and stretched lazily.
"Don't think you can fool me!" Fish persisted, pulling back Autumn Wind's blanket and reaching for the bag of funds that had just been placed at the foot of the bed.
"This is the agreement I just signed for you. Liu Jian will transfer some money into your account shortly!" Fish took out the agreement from her bag and handed it to Autumn Wind.
"I didn't intend to take his money; I just wanted..." Autumn Wind glanced at the contents of the agreement and murmured.
"You just want to break off the engagement with him, right?" Fish interrupted before Autumn Wind could finish. She took the agreement from Autumn Wind's hands and said calmly, "You haven't lost your memory, have you? You just want to use this method to break up with him..."
"What are you talking about? I don't understand at all!" Even though Fish had seen through her, Autumn Wind stubbornly refused to admit it. She turned her head away, unable to look Fish in the eye.
Fish placed her hand on Autumn Wind's head and forcefully turned her face back. Her eyes fixed directly on Autumn Wind. "Autumn Wendy, I've known you for a long time; I know you better than I know myself. Whether you're pretending to have amnesia or really have amnesia, I'm sure you remember everything that happened between you and Liu Jian..."
Autumn Wind stubbornly remained silent, but her gaze softened.

After finishing her words, like a valiant warrior making a noble sacrifice, Fish picked up her bag and strode out of Autumn Wind's bedroom.
Once Fish left, Autumn Wind fell onto the bed.
Fish was right; she indeed only wanted to find a suitable reason to break up with Liu Jian that wouldn't hurt her feelings.
Fish's words pierced through the heart that Autumn Wind had hidden away, instantly destroying the mental fortress she had painstakingly built.
Tears overflowed from her eyes and quickly soaked the sheets.
Unknowingly, Autumn Wind fell asleep.
The winter sunlight was always so precious; it had just turned gloomy around four o'clock. Fish cautiously pushed open Autumn Wind's bedroom door.
Autumn Wind lay on the bed like a quail, her face buried in the blanket, tears soaking a patch of it.
Fish gently pushed her awake, "Hey, Autumn Wind, wake up..."
Because she had been crying, her eyes were swollen and uncomfortable. Autumn Wind struggled to get up from the bed, looking at the foggy atmosphere outside. She felt a bit dazed: "It's not even light yet, why are you waking me up?"
She burrowed back into the covers, the thin fabric touching the spot dampened by her tears, which startled Autumn Wind awake with a chill. "Ah! Oke went to the bathroom on my bed!"
She sprang up from the sheets, standing on the bed, and shouted at Fish, "Wow, when did your son come to my bed to go to the bathroom?"
Fish helplessly pouted and pulled back Autumn Wind's sheets. "Smell this; it's either Oke's urine or someone's tears..."
Autumn Wind slapped her forehead as realization hit her. She rubbed her swollen eyes and smiled sheepishly, "Ah, I misunderstood Oke, please apologize to him for me!"
But Fish immediately stopped responding to Autumn Wind. She blinked and looked at Autumn Wind with an expectant gaze. "Have you thought about my matter?"
With a clarity sharpened by the sourness of lemon, Autumn Wind recalled Fish's words from before bed. Her heart calmed down as she slowly sat on the bed.
Autumn Wind forced a bitter smile, her voice low. "You really understand me; I almost deceived myself but you saw right through me!"
"Honestly, I wish I could really forget everything; at least I would forget many painful things!"
"I watched Chen Shanni fall in front of me; I watched Yusha drop away from my sight. Every time I think about it, my heart truly aches..."
"Every time I close my eyes, I can see my children and Yusha running towards me hand in hand, blaming me for not saving them..."
"I always see Ervin standing in front of me. As I slowly approach him, he moves further away!"
"I know I'm quite cowardly; I also know that avoiding it is wrong... but I really don't want to face all of this!"
"I just think, how great would it be if we could start all over again!"
Autumn Wind buried her head between her legs and expressed her feelings intermittently, "I thought I could really forget, but I didn't expect you to see through me! Well, what do you want me to do next?"
This time Autumn Wind didn't cry; she blinked at Fish, eagerly waiting for Fish's response.
To her surprise, Fish answered Autumn Wind with a tear-streaked face.
"You... what's wrong?" Fish's appearance frightened Autumn Wind, who got off the bed and walked over to Fish in her slippers.
"Autumn Wind..." Fish sobbed. Just now, Autumn Wind's words resonated with her own feelings; how she wished they could start over together.
If she hadn't gone crazy in America, she wouldn't have gotten pregnant. If she hadn't gotten pregnant, she wouldn't have rushed to marry. If she hadn't married, there wouldn't have been infidelity, and there wouldn't have been a divorce... How wonderful it would be if none of this had happened.
Fish took a few steps forward and hugged Autumn Wind. "I wish I could live my life again too!"
Fish's sudden breakdown left Autumn Wind stunned. Although Autumn Wind was already used to Fish's extreme emotions, seeing her cry so hard truly caught Autumn Wind off guard.
"Okay, stop crying!" Autumn Wind patted Fish's shoulder to comfort her.
"..." As Fish felt Autumn Wind patting her shoulder, she suddenly realized her breakdown and quickly wiped away her tears, sniffing.
"I let you distract me. Come on, get up; everyone is still waiting for you to eat!" Fish quickly detached herself from her emotions.
Fish's reaction once again left Autumn Wind speechless. "Wait a minute..." she called out to Fish.
"What is it?"
"Don't you think we should put an end to what just happened? Don't you think we both look a bit crazy for detaching so quickly?" Autumn Wind shrugged and answered Fish's question.
"That's true, I also feel a bit uncomfortable. Alright, you can come to this conclusion..." Fish turned around and looked at Autumn Wind, appearing completely indifferent.
"What? I have nothing to say. I just want to make a few memories with Autumn Wind!"
"Okay! Then it's settled. You will still be the one who has lost their memory, and I will take care of you, Jiang Yu!" Autumn Wind's response received Fish's approval. "But I can't guarantee that I won't have feelings about this secret!"
"Do whatever you want. When my memory comes back, it will be that simple!"
"Wow, you're so sinister! Alright, hurry up and come down for dinner!" Fish tapped Autumn Wind on the head.
"Is it time for dinner already? Is there any event today?"

Autumn Wind and Fish laughed as they slowly walked down the stairs.

He bowed respectfully to Autumn Wind and handed him a pure gold invitation card. "May I ask if you are Autumn Wind, Sister Qiu?"
"What is this?" Autumn Wind asked as she received the invitation.
"In order to meet more friends, our host will be holding a party at the villa tomorrow night. We hope Sister Qiu can grace us with her presence!" the middle-aged man whispered.
"Party?"
"Yes, our host just returned from the United States and plans to settle down here in the future, so he is inviting all his friends!"
Autumn Wind glanced at the invitation made of pure gold. Someone so extravagant surely wasn't someone she could relate to. "I'm sorry, but my health may not allow me to attend such a lively event. I appreciate your host's kind intentions..." She returned the pure gold invitation to the middle-aged man.
Then she raised her hand. "Sister Liu, go to my room and bring my bag. I have a gift for your host!"
Sister Liu quickly fetched Autumn Wind's bag and opened it to take out a blank check. "Give this to your host; it's Autumn Wind's repayment! He knows what this is about!"
The middle-aged man did not ask further questions, taking the check with both hands and stepping back.
