Autumn Wind met Guanghao during his first year of high school. He was a classmate of Leo and also a senior to Autumn Wind.
However, by the time they met, Guanghao and Leo had already graduated from high school. Leo's parents arranged for him to study abroad, while Guanghao got accepted into National Taiwan University. In short, everyone had found their own good paths, making their entire summer vacation feel particularly relaxed.
Suddenly, Leo wanted to take Autumn Wind to Kenting for a trip. Upon arriving in Kenting, he mysteriously disappeared, leaving Guanghao standing in front of Autumn Wind, wearing only swim trunks and showing off his six-pack abs.
It was a strange scene, a handsome man and a gypsy girl appearing together in an unusual setting. Just as Autumn Wind and Guanghao were sizing each other up, Leo called. With a hint of mischief in his voice, he informed Autumn Wind that he was on his way back to Taipei.
Actually, it didn't take much for Leo; Autumn Wind understood that this was a setup designed by Leo to introduce the two of them. Fortunately, the trip to Kenting turned out to be not as terrible as Autumn Wind had imagined, and naturally, the outcome was that Autumn Wind and Guanghao ended up together.
At that time, Autumn Wind didn't really need love because he spent almost all his time in Taipei with Qiu Mowen.
Perhaps it was to gain more attention from Qiu Mowen, or maybe just to enrich his life, but Autumn Wind began frequently dating Guanghao.
During that period, Autumn Wind would deliberately return home after the curfew set by Grandma. Every time he came home late and saw Qiu Mowen waiting for him in the living room, he felt an inexplicable happiness.
But Qiu Mowen would always ask the same question: "Who brought you back just now?"
And Autumn Wind's answer would always be the same: "Of course it was Leo, who else could it be!"
Then Qiu Mowen would say, "Hurry up and take a shower and go to bed!"
So, Autumn Wind would lower his head and quickly walk into the bathroom. After a hurried shower, he would rush out.
Autumn Wind loved walking around with wet hair after showering, intentionally swaying his damp hair in front of Qiu Mowen. However, Qiu Mowen would always ignore him. Still, Autumn Wind found joy in it, even in winter.
Winter in Taipei usually hovers around ten degrees Celsius. Each time he wandered outside dressed lightly like Leo, his teeth would chatter. But for someone like Autumn Wind, who had once sold newspapers in temperatures below ten degrees Celsius, this felt like spring.
Of course, when winter arrived, Qiu Mowen would toss him a towel. Naturally, Autumn Wind would throw it back without hesitation. Then he would stand up and vigorously rub the towel on top of Autumn Wind's head. Soon after, Grandma would jump out and scold them loudly, causing them to burst into laughter despite her reprimands.
Autumn Wind realized that this was part of his scheme to gain the attention of Qiu Mowen.
Later, spring arrived, but Qiu Mowen had to leave Taipei, and he didn't know for how long.
From that point on, Autumn Wind began to come home later and later. Guanghao would take her to various places she had never been before: nightclubs, dance halls, mini theaters, and many other places that Autumn Wind couldn't name.
At that time, Grandma and Grandma Xu had started to become enthusiastic about church activities. Coincidentally, during that period, the church began organizing a Charity Event. Grandma would come home late, and Autumn Wind would take advantage of the time to enter the house just a few minutes before Grandma returned.
In fact, even now, Autumn Wind still couldn't figure out whether she really liked Guanghao or not. She also wasn't sure if Guanghao had genuinely liked her; otherwise, why would he propose breaking up just because Autumn Wind refused to kiss him? After the breakup, Autumn Wind felt no sadness at all.
In front of the old house was a long and narrow alley. Guanghao would walk Autumn Wind home, and they would linger there for an hour or two. The summer breeze carried a warmth that was somewhat intoxicating. He always tried to kiss her while hugging her.
However, that scene made Autumn Wind feel nauseous. After each rejection, Guanghao would sigh and let her go home. Autumn Wind would watch his slowly receding figure from upstairs but would start to miss the taste of kissing someone of the opposite sex.
Another cycle came to an end. When she opened the door to enter the house, a suitcase with a first-class logo appeared in front of Autumn Wind. She was slightly taken aback but quickly realized—Qiu Mowen was back.
The sound of water splashing came from the bathroom. As someone opened the door, Qiu Mowen wrapped in a towel appeared before Autumn Wind. Seeing her standing there like a wooden person, he looked a bit awkward: "Hi, Autumn Wind... you're back?"
Steam wafted from his hair, his chest slightly flushed. Occasionally, water droplets fell from his hair onto his chest, creating an overall quiet atmosphere in the house.
Autumn Wind took a deep breath and quickly ran to the windowsill. Guanghao's figure was elongated by the light, resembling a lonely handsome man from a comic book. Ervin picked up a cup of water and leaned over: "What are you looking at? Has Grandma not returned from the gathering yet?"
"No, I wasn't looking at anything... umm Ervin, could you... do me a favor?" Autumn Wind realized she was influenced by Yao Guanghao's lonely figure at that moment; she didn't even notice these words coming out of her mouth.
"Sure! I can help!" He took a sip of water and quickly responded after swallowing.
Autumn Wind pressed her lips together, stood on tiptoe, and leaned in to kiss Qiu Mowen's lips. His lips were slightly dry after just showering.
Autumn Wind could feel the texture of his lips; it was an odd sensation—tingly and soft yet distinctly textured.
But soon enough, Autumn Wind was startled by her own actions. Accompanied by her wide-eyed astonishment, Qiu Mowen stood frozen like a mummy in place.
Summer Breeze blew in, stirring his towel, and she worried it might fall off at any moment.
The entire atmosphere froze as Autumn Wind realized her crazy action. Not daring to look at Qiu Mowen, she briefly contemplated before screaming and rushing out.
With a "bang," she slammed the door shut and leaned against it, gasping for breath. Behind the door, the sound of a glass shattering on the floor echoed.
Autumn Wind felt that summer suddenly lost its heat. She thought about how some things are destined to happen at specific times and places, and some things are meant to be known by you at certain moments.
With an extremely terrified heart, Autumn Wind went straight to Leo's house (she had a key to come and go freely).
Leo looked like he wasn't in a good mood; he was lying on the bed when Autumn Wind entered, his head buried in the pillow, with legs that resembled white radishes sticking out, covered only by a thin blanket over his hips. Autumn Wind gently patted his butt: "Hey, Leo, I just did something really terrible!"
Leo didn't respond, only slightly moved his arm. Autumn Wind felt a bit angry and patted Leo's butt harder. "Are you even listening? I just kissed Ervin... I mean, that was my first kiss!"
He still didn't move. Autumn Wind was slightly surprised; just as she was about to turn him over, her phone rang. It was a text message from Guanghao, specifically a breakup message.
The message was simple: We are not suited for each other; let's break up!
Seeing this message, Autumn Wind was unexpectedly calm. Perhaps in her heart, Yao Guanghao wasn't important; at that moment, all she cared about was how she would interact with Qiu Mowen in the future.
She casually placed her phone down and lay beside Leo. With wide eyes, she stared at the ceiling light, which shone brightly like the stars around it. Autumn Wind asked Leo: "Shouldn't we hide out at your place tonight? Or should I wait until Ervin leaves before going home?"
But Leo remained silent. Feeling a bit annoyed, Autumn Wind pushed herself up from the bed. "Hey, why aren't you saying anything? Are you dead?" Just as she finished speaking, the bathroom door swung open with a bang, revealing a bare-chested Leo in front of her. Autumn Wind panicked as she looked at the body beside her; a strange man's face lifted up.
Seeing Autumn Wind so flustered, Leo remained calm: "What were you just saying? Hide out or...?"
Autumn Wind glanced at the strange man beside her; he had already stood up and picked up a shirt from the chair by the bed. Taking a deep breath, she said: "Oh, it's nothing! I just broke up with Yao Guanghao!"
"Oh really! Then aren't you feeling quite sad?" Leo casually picked up a shirt as well. "Come find me to vent!"
Autumn Wind frowned slightly and said, "No!"
The unfamiliar man finished putting on his shirt and looked at Autumn Wind with a hint of awkwardness. Autumn Wind suddenly realized, "Then I'll go to the living room!" She forced a smile and walked out, her face full of questions.
Soon, voices from the bedroom could be heard. Autumn Wind turned up the volume on the TV, trying to avoid hearing secrets she shouldn't know.
Before long, the two came out of the bedroom. Leo reluctantly saw the man to the door. The stranger smiled at Autumn Wind, who had no choice but to stand up and politely smile back.
Leo opened the door and insisted on escorting the man to the elevator. After the elevator went down, he leisurely returned, closed the door, and asked, "What happened between you and Ervin Uncle just now?"
Autumn Wind did not answer and continued staring at the TV, expressionless as she retorted, "Who was that person just now?"
With a mischievous grin, he sat down next to Autumn Wind, his hands clasped behind his head. "Do you want to know? Alright... let's exchange!"
But they both almost spoke in unison: "You go first!"
Autumn Wind pretended to be uninterested and continued watching TV. Leo smiled lightly, "Okay, I'll go first. He is my boyfriend!"
That's right, a boyfriend—meaning Leo is... This answer left Autumn Wind in shock; her mind went blank. All those fishy things were just a cover... Ah, if Grandma Xu found out about this...
