Wolf King A wolf-toothed greatsword had already fallen to the ground, riddled with bullets and still stained with blood. Xiang Xueer had deep gashes on her shoulder and back from the sword, yet she still tightly clutched the bottle containing the souls.
Wolf King was at a disadvantage. Seeing Ling Zhu and Lian Cheng Xue return, he covered his wound and turned to flee. Xiang Xueer smiled with relief, collapsing to her knees.
“Shirley, how are you?” Lian Cheng Xue hurried over to help her up. The wound on her back was long and deep. Ling Zhu quickly came forward to apply medicine and stop the bleeding. “I’m sorry, Shirley, we couldn’t find Black Dog Blood!”
Xiang Xueer slowly took out the bottle from her hand and happily waved it in front of the two: “Look what I got!”
The two looked at the bottle in Xiang Xueer's hand, confused. She suddenly laughed like a child: “I got the souls of Li Yunyang and Qingtian!”
“Really?” Upon hearing this, Ling Zhu and Lian Cheng Xue excitedly took the bottle and gently shook it. “Great! Their bodies are still in the cave. Once we defeat the Demon Lord, we can immediately return their souls to their bodies.”
Mentioning the Demon Lord made Ling Zhu frown: “Although retrieving the souls is a good thing, right now we don’t have Black Dog Blood, so we still can’t kill the Demon Lord!”
Xiang Xueer clenched her fists tightly. Suddenly, she looked at the Crossbow at her waist. She quickly took it down, remembering that when they were at the Exorcist Station, the seller mentioned that the arrows of this Crossbow had been soaked in Black Dog Blood.
She quickly pulled out an arrow, examined it closely, then sniffed it; indeed, there was still a trace of blood smell on it. Xiang Xueer turned to Ling Zhu: “Hurry, give me the Rhinoceros Horn!”
Although Ling Zhu didn’t fully understand her intention, she handed over the Rhinoceros Horn. Xiang Xueer picked up the horn and examined it repeatedly before wrapping it in cloth strips, tightly binding the tip of the horn to the arrowhead.
“Ah, I see!” Lian Cheng Xue, looking at the completed weapon, immediately understood Xiang Xueer's intention: “Shirley, your brain really comes in handy at critical moments! I completely forgot that this arrowhead had been soaked in Black Dog Blood!”
Desperate times call for desperate measures. Although they didn’t know how much damage this would cause, time was of the essence. Saying this, Xiang Xueer struggled to stand up from the ground, clutching the Rhinoceros Horn. The three of them began heading towards Sky Beyond Mountain.
In the distance, the fierce battle between the Azure Wind Sword Ancestor and the Ancestor of the Demon Refining Pot was visible. The previous pentagon formation was now missing two corners, and it seemed that the Demon Lord still had the upper hand.
Fuxi Qin Ancestor glanced sideways at Xiang Xueer, who was rushing over with the Rhinoceros Horn in her hand. A physiological expression appeared at the corner of her mouth, and she immediately turned around, creating a barrier with Shennong Ding and Kongtong Yinshi Ancestor. She exerted all her strength to expand the barrier, igniting the Light of the Sun and Moon.
"Fat Master, you can return to the team now; I'll handle this!" Xiang Xueer shouted at the two of them, then handed the Rhinoceros Horn to Ling Zhu, whispering, "I'll be responsible for the offense and divert the Demon Lord's attention. Hide this Rhinoceros Horn properly so he doesn't find out!"
"Leave it to me!" Ling Zhu nodded, wrapping a piece of cloth around the Rhinoceros Horn and advising, "You’re injured; make sure to act according to your strength."
"I can't worry about that right now; every moment I delay could mean countless innocent lives lost!" Xiang Xueer squinted her eyes and waved her hand. The Azure Wind Sword Ancestor instantly transformed into sword form and swiftly returned to her hand.
Fat Ancestor also breathed a sigh of relief as he returned to the barrier. With one corner missing from the pentagon, the four Ancestors began to channel their energy together. Gradually, a glimmer of light appeared in the sky above, as the rapidly moving black clouds began to recede, and the sun started to push its head out.
The Demon Lord's eyes twitched slightly; this troublesome girl had appeared again. He roared angrily, "What? Are you really going to abandon those two men?"
A cold smile appeared on Xiang Xueer's lips as she took out a small vial from her sleeve and waved it in front of the Demon Lord. "Is this what you're talking about? Sorry, but I've already got it!"
The Demon Lord's expression darkened immediately. He had entrusted his soul to Wolf King, only to find that this fool had let it be snatched away—what a useless bunch.
"Surrender, Demon Lord!" Xiang Xueer calmly swung her Azure Wind Sword. "Fire Rat has been killed by you, and Wolf King is severely injured. You’ve lost your right-hand men and are isolated; continuing this fight will bring you no benefit."
What she said was indeed correct; however, having come this far with meticulous planning and strategy, how could he simply give up? The Demon Lord sneered, "I can smell the blood on you from far away; I see you're not in much better shape than I am."
It seemed he had caught wind of her bleeding wounds. Since that was the case, it looked like they would have to stand their ground until the end. Next to the barrier, flashes of sword light flickered as sounds of battle echoed continuously; both sides were using all their might to try to defeat each other.
"Seize the opportunity and strike decisively!" Ling Zhu's eyes were fixed intently on the fierce battle between Xiang Xueer and the Demon Lord, searching for a chance to launch a sneak attack from between the two.
However, the Demon Lord was extremely cunning, leaving no opportunity whatsoever. Xiang Xueer glanced sideways at the sky, where the sun reappeared in full view. The Light of the Sun and Moon would soon reignite, and everything would come to an end!
"Damn it!" The Demon Lord glared at the sky and roared, raising one hand towards it, beginning to unleash his fury: "Heaven and Earth Shatter: Purple Thunder Nine Strikes!"
In an instant, a surge of true energy began to rise, and purple lightning struck down violently towards the ground, attempting to destroy the nearly completed barrier. Seeing this, Xiang Xueer raised her Azure Wind Sword and thrust it forward. The Demon Lord blocked with his clawed hands, sparks flying as they began to engage in a standoff.
Ling Zhu widened her eyes; if she didn't act now, when would she? She grabbed the Rhinoceros Horn and stealthily attacked from behind the Demon Lord. Just as the sharp horn was about to pierce his back, the Demon Lord suddenly noticed and turned around, kicking Ling Zhu away to the ground.
"Ah!" Ling Zhu screamed as she looked down to see a pack of wolves surrounding her, their mouths open as they lunged toward her. Lian Cheng Xue quickly flew down on Taotie and managed to catch her just in time.
"Are you okay?" Lian Cheng Xue asked, noticing her pale face, likely due to internal injuries. He snatched the Rhinoceros Horn from her hands and charged back towards the Demon Lord.
"You little beast! You dare try to kill me with the Rhinoceros Horn? Dream on!" The Demon Lord hissed angrily, using one hand to fend off Xiang Xueer's attack while striking Lian Cheng Xue in the chest with his other hand.
'Pfft!' A mouthful of blood spurted from Lian Cheng Xue's mouth as he dropped the Rhinoceros Horn. In that moment, Ling Zhu acted quickly, catching the Rhinoceros Horn and fiercely stabbing its sharp tip into the Demon Lord's lower back.
"Ah!" The Demon Lord let out a loud roar that shook the entire Sky Beyond Mountain. The combination of the Rhinoceros Horn and Black Dog Blood quickly restrained his body, preventing him from moving freely. Seeing this, Ling Zhu and Lian Cheng Xue joined forces and pierced the Rhinoceros Horn through the Demon Lord's body.
