In an instant, the air in the room dropped to freezing point. Everyone looked at Xiang Xueer and Lian Cheng Xue on the bed, their faces changing from white to black, and then from black to green.
Lian Cheng Xue's expression also froze instantly. He quickly looked down at his clothes; aside from being a bit disheveled, there was nothing else unusual. Xiang Xueer was frantically slapping her forehead: "Ah, what on earth happened?"

"Shut up, Duck! Can't you keep your mouth shut?" Xiang Xueer turned around and scolded Platypus, looking as if she would castrate him if he said another word.
Platypus pouted and began to cry: "Sister, so when you said you only loved me, it was all a lie!"
After saying that, Duck turned around and ran out in tears. Xiang Xueer had veins popping on her forehead: "You scoundrel Duck, when did I ever say such disgusting things?"
Lian Cheng Xue quickly walked over to Lan Ran Qingtian and Li Yunyang, repeatedly explaining: "You really misunderstood; we both drank too much last night!"
"Really? Just drinking, and nothing happened?" Li Yunyang looked at them with a face full of disbelief, which made Xiang Xueer extremely unhappy. She directly wrapped her arm around Lian Cheng Xue's and said, "So what if something happened? It's none of your business!"
"Come on, Xue, let's go see if Ling Zhu is awake!" Xiang Xueer was filled with anger. Why should she explain to Li Yunyang? Even Qingtian didn't believe her. Damn it, it was just a joke from yesterday! Why was everyone targeting her like this?
It was infuriating! While Xiang Xueer cursed inwardly, she smiled at Lian Cheng Xue and then pulled him toward Ling Zhu's room.
Li Yunyang stood there with a green face, his clenched fists making cracking sounds. After a moment, he turned to Qingtian and asked, "Hey, why aren't you saying anything? Do you think the same way?"
Lan Ran Qingtian remained silent. He had flirted with Li Yunyang last night, and today he saw him holding hands with another man—his best brother at that. His heart felt like a mix of emotions he couldn't quite articulate.
Following closely behind Xiang Xueer, Lian Cheng Xue felt a chill run down his back. He didn't know if it was Li Yunyang's killing intent or Qingtian's. He didn't dare turn his head and instead looked at Xiang Xueer. "Shirley, what are you doing? If you act like this, won't they misunderstand?"
"If they misunderstand, then so be it! I don't care about them!" Xiang Xueer replied irritably. She was already angry; two obnoxious men came in and started cursing without understanding the situation. They called her promiscuous and said she was flirting around. Well, she had flirted today—so what!
She angrily pushed open the door to Ling Zhu's room, only to find that Ling Zhu had already woken up and was sitting on the edge of the bed. Upon seeing Xiang Xueer and Lian Cheng Xue enter, she suddenly lowered her head in shame.
"How are you? Are you feeling better?" Xiang Xueer walked over to her side and checked; it seemed there was nothing serious, which relieved her.
"Why? Why did you save me? I am a spy who has eavesdropped on you several times and deliberately sowed discord among you!" Ling Zhu slowly raised her head, looking at Xiang Xueer and Lian Cheng Xue with confusion.
After hearing this, Lian Cheng Xue couldn't help but smile. "Ling Zhu, we all know about your situation. You were indeed a spy before, but you never truly harmed us. In fact, you helped us obtain the Thousand-Year Ganoderma. So for us, you are still our companion!"
"That's right!" Xiang Xueer had never been so magnanimous toward anyone before. Ling Zhu became the first: "You saved my life, and I saved yours as well. So we are even now; we owe each other nothing. But how did your husband end up in the hands of the Heart Demon?"
This statement struck Ling Zhu's pain directly. She slowly said, "My husband and I were born as twin Bodhi Fruits. During a cultivation session, we were captured by the Heart Demon. He took my husband away to force me to serve him. It was he who made me infiltrate your group and spy on your movements!"
"But why does that Heart Demon care so much about our actions?" Lian Cheng Xue did not quite understand the reason behind it. Xiang Xueer couldn't help but furrow her brows; both Lian Cheng Xue and Qingtian were unaware that it was due to their own circumstances.
Ling Zhu immediately noticed Xiang Xueer's thoughts and turned to Lian Cheng Xue, saying, "I would like to speak with her privately. Could you step out for a moment?"
Lian Cheng Xue naturally assumed it was a secret conversation between women, so she cooperatively turned and left the room, leaving only Xiang Xueer and Ling Zhu inside.
"You haven't told them yet?" The implication in Ling Zhu's words referred to the matter of the Witch within her. After hearing this, Xiang Xueer shook her head, "No, I only told Li Yunyang. Duck knows a little about it."
"I see!" Ling Zhu looked at her with a troubled expression, roughly understanding her concerns. "You really don't need to worry because your friends around you are willing to risk their lives for you; they won't leave you for this reason!"
"Maybe," Xiang Xueer slowly sat down on one side. "A few months ago, I could never have imagined such things—friends, especially friends who would risk their lives for each other."
"Oh?" Ling Zhu looked at Xiang Xueer in surprise and asked, "What kind of person were you before?"
Xiang Xueer touched her chin and said with a self-deprecating expression, "As for my previous self, I only cared about money. As long as I had money, I could kill anyone and easily win over any kind of man. Cold-blooded, ruthless, without friends, never trusting others; I always acted alone. People called me Lone Wolf."
"Lone Wolf? That's an interesting title!" Ling Zhu couldn't help but laugh after hearing this. "Wolves usually act in packs; it's the first time I've heard of a lone wolf!"
"However!" Ling Zhu looked up and down at Xiang Xueer, shaking her head with a smile. "It's hard to imagine what you were like before, but compared to that, I think you seem much more approachable now."
