"What are you?" The Black Dragon shouted in pain, turning to glare at the person standing on its back. The Witch slowly opened her cold red eyes: "Black Dragon, long time no see. You don't even recognize me anymore!"
"You, you are..." The Black Dragon's mind raced as it tried to process the familiar voice and presence. Suddenly, its expression changed drastically, and it exclaimed in shock, "Impossible! How can it be you? Aren't you supposed to be dead?"
"Is that what you wish for me?" The Witch stood up and surveyed the surrounding buildings. "It's been a hundred years since I last saw you, and you've actually taken over this land."
"Who on earth is she?" The Ox Demon dropped his wine jug in fright, spilling alcohol everywhere without realizing it.
The unpredictable turn of events surprised even the two generals who had just been standing on the castle roof. Since knowing the Black Dragon, no one had ever escaped from its jaws, let alone create a huge hole in its body, leaving the mighty Black Dragon Saint Lord in such a miserable state—it was simply unbelievable.
"Xue... Shirley?" Lian Cheng Xue frowned, nearly dropping his jaw to the ground. The person wrapped in the black whirlwind should be Xiang Xueer, but why did her aura become so strange and evil? Was this really her? Was the person standing on the dragon truly the Xiang Xueer he knew?
The Witch intended to kill the damned Black Dragon directly, but when she glanced at Lian Cheng Xue beside her, she cursed inwardly: "Tch, consider yourself lucky today. If it weren't for my father's orders, I would have taken your life right now."
Her red pupils flashed as she extended her clawed fingers and forcefully stabbed into the Black Dragon's back. Her entire arm sank into the Black Dragon's dark body, causing her to scream in pain as she was thrown to the ground, unable to move.
The Witch glanced at Taotie and Lian Cheng Xue; it was time for the soul to fall into slumber once more. She closed her eyes, and the surrounding black whirlwind gradually calmed down. With a soft thud, Xiang Xueer collapsed.
"It's Shirley!" Lian Cheng Xue finally recognized her true form and hurriedly rushed over with Taotie to help the unconscious Xiang Xueer escape from the terrifying Moon City.
"Holy Monarch!" The four generals rushed out of the castle upon seeing the Black Dragon defeated. The Black Dragon lay on the ground convulsing; though severely injured, it was still alive.
"Damn Witch! I didn't expect you to hide in this little girl's body!" It roared at Xiang Xueer, who had already walked far away. Heizhu stepped forward and said, "Holy Monarch, let me go after her!"
"No need; none of you are her match!" The Black Dragon immediately stopped him. "In this world, aside from the Demon Lord, no one can rival her!"
The Black Dragon furrowed its brows tightly as it looked up at the sky: "The Demon Realm Princess actually dares to invade Underground City. What could her intentions be?"
Before long, Taotie returned to Sun City with Xiang Xueer and Lian Cheng Xue. Li Yunyang and Qingtian, who had been waiting by the cliff for a long time, rushed over to greet them upon seeing the two return.
"What happened? What’s wrong with Dead Girl?" Li Yunyang exclaimed, staring in shock at Xiang Xueer, who lay unconscious in Lian Cheng Xue's arms, her eyes tightly closed, the corners of her eyes and lips darkened, and a black mist faintly emanating from her body.
Lian Cheng Xue quickly lifted her up and gently placed her on the ground. Seeing her in such a comatose state, he anxiously explained, "We broke into the Black Dragon Saint Lord’s castle and found the kidnapped girl. Just as we were about to leave, we were discovered by the black dragon. Shirley was swallowed by it while trying to protect us, and it took us a lot of effort to escape!"
"No way! Swallowed whole?" Qingtian was genuinely startled upon hearing this. He pulled aside Lian Cheng Xue to check her complexion; the clothes on her body had been corroded beyond recognition.
It seemed she had been affected by Miasma! He hurriedly took out a small vial from his possession and administered the ‘Bear Gall Poisonous Herb’ to her. However, after waiting for a long time, the black Miasma still hadn’t dissipated, and she remained unconscious.
"How could this be? The ‘Bear Gall Poisonous Herb’ is ineffective?" Even Qingtian felt helpless now. Seeing this, Li Yunyang quickly picked up Xiang Xueer and hurried toward the marketplace. " Taotie, you go back to Void Realm. We need to find a doctor for Dead Girl!"
"Okay!" Taotie nodded and disappeared. Li Yunyang, carrying Xiang Xueer, quickly found a medical clinic. After examining her, all the doctors shook their heads; none of the doctors in all of Sun City could cure the poison of Miasma.
"What are we going to do?" Lian Cheng Xue felt extremely anxious. If he had been more useful, Xiang Xueer wouldn’t have been so severely injured. "How about we return to the inn first? If that doesn’t work, we can leave Underground City and look for better doctors outside!"
"Yeah, that’s all we can do now!" Qingtian nodded in agreement, and the three of them hurried toward the inn with Xiang Xueer.
By now, it was almost noon. In the inn's room, only Ling Zhu and Platypus remained.
"Hey, how long are you going to follow me?" Ling Zhu turned around helplessly to glare at the persistent Platypus, irritatedly saying, "Are you going to follow me even into the bathroom?"
Duck, with bulging eyes like a black chicken, stared intently at her: "Stop complaining! You were the one who said you were scared and asked me to protect you!"
"I don’t need your protection!" Finally losing patience, Ling Zhu pushed open the door and walked outside. After taking a few steps, she suddenly felt a heavy weight on her leg and couldn’t move forward. Looking down, she found that the Duck was tightly hugging her thigh, drooling and rubbing against her incessantly.
This damn Duck, claiming to protect, looks like it just wants to take advantage of the situation with its sleazy expression. But it always clings to itself, and Ling Zhu can't get anything done at all.
Platypus raised its head, leering with raised eyebrows: "Hehe, don't even think about slipping away; you should just stay home with me!"
"Damn Duck!" Ling Zhu finally lost her temper and was about to reach out to deal with it when a hurried sound of footsteps came from outside. The door swung open with a bang, and Li Yunyang walked in carrying the unconscious Xiang Xueer.
"Ah?" Platypus stared at Xiang Xueer's pale face, frightened enough to quickly release Ling Zhu's thigh, exclaiming, "Sister, sister, what happened to you?"
She was poisoned by the Black Dragon's Miasma. Li Yunyang gently laid her down on the bed. Platypus immediately pounced onto the bed and, seeing Xiang Xueer unconscious, covered its face and began to cry loudly: "Ah, sister, it's all my fault! If I had gone with you, this wouldn't have happened!"
Lian Cheng Xue stood aside, feeling guilty for a long time: "The Duck has nothing to do with you; it's all my incompetence for not being able to protect Shirley."
"It's my fault; it's all my fault!" Duck glared at Lian Cheng Xue with a dark expression: "If I weren't here protecting Ling Zhu, sister wouldn't have died!"
Li Yunyang's forehead bulged with veins as he punched Duck on the head: "Can you just shut up? She won't die from anything else but your crying!"
"What should we do?" Li Yunyang turned to look at Lan Ran Qingtian: "There are still two days until the gates of Underground City open; how are we going to get out?"
Qingtian sighed with a troubled expression: "No way; this is the Black Dragon's territory. Staying here is even more dangerous; our identities have already been exposed, so we must leave as soon as possible!"
"Then let's leave tonight!" Lian Cheng Xue exchanged glances with the two of them, and the three slightly nodded: "Alright, then we'll sneak out tonight. Shirley must be sent out for treatment as soon as possible!"
