Xiang Xueer quickly walked to the side of the crystal ball. Indeed, this was the crystal ball that Bakemono used to sacrifice and summon souls. Without a doubt, this place was the underground lair of the Serpent Empress.
"Look!" Xiang Xueer pointed at the spider webs on the wall, sneering, "Hmph! It seems this place has been here for quite some time; it must have long been the secret hideout of the Serpent Empress."
"How despicable! Using the people of Shili Slope as her puppets!" Lan Ran Qingtian turned to glance at Li Yunyang, who was standing inside the cage with a blank expression. "What do we do now? How can we rescue Brother Li?"
Xiang Xueer slowly approached the front of the cage. It was daytime, and all the Zombies had lost their attacking ability. She reached out to touch Li Yunyang's cold cheek, a sudden pang of pain surged in her heart. The fuse of her anger reignited; damn Serpent Empress, how could you do this to my people? I won't let you off easily.
Meanwhile, Lian Cheng Xue was hiding outside the entrance, touching her chest and cursing under her breath, "Damn it! Every time I need to help, I'm injured and can't do anything!"
Platypus crossed his arms and leaned against a tree trunk, humming, "Look at you missing arms and legs; my sister wouldn't even look at you. A woman like my sister deserves a man of Saint Ten level, just like that Qingtian guy."
Lian Cheng Xue glanced at her remaining arm and sighed softly, "That's true; someone like me is simply not worthy of Miss Xueer!"
"Hehe, so you admit you have a crush on my sister!" Stinky Duck jumped up with a smug expression, pointing at Lian Cheng Xue and teasing, "I knew it! You three all like my sister; I'm going to tell her!"
Platypus excitedly wanted to find Xiang Xueer, but Lian Cheng Xue grabbed him by the neck in a panic. "I don't have a crush! Don't talk nonsense or I'll kill you!"
"Wahhh!" Platypus cried out in distress as Lian Cheng Xue tightly squeezed his neck. "Help! Someone's trying to kill me!"
Lian Cheng Xue's thoughts were exposed, and in anger and embarrassment, she prepared to silence that annoying Duck. However, when she looked up, she noticed a figure appearing ahead. She quickly covered Platypus's mouth. "Shh! Be quiet; someone is coming!"
"Huh?" Platypus quickly followed her gaze. A young and alluring woman was swaying her hips and walking towards the forest.
"It's the Serpent Empress!" Lian Cheng Xue recognized her immediately; she was the one who took Li Yunyang away back at the inn. It seemed this beast had found herself a new vessel.
Platypus squinted at the Serpent Empress. The moment he saw her, he felt uncomfortable all over. Even though she appeared human on the surface, it couldn't hide the aura of menace radiating from her.
"What should we do?" Platypus quietly asked, and Lian Cheng Xue shook her head, "There's no way. We can't stop her at all. She seems ready to return to her lair."
"Ah, back to the lair!" Platypus was startled and exclaimed, "Then, won't she definitely run into the elder sister and the others!"
"Yes!" Lian Cheng Xue tightly hugged Platypus and hid behind the Tree Trunk, lowering her voice, "Now, we can only pray that those two will be safe. They must not start fighting as soon as they meet!"
The Serpent Empress walked to the area filled with red spider lilies, gently waving her sleeve, a black Secret Door appeared. She glanced around cautiously before entering the Secret Door, which immediately closed behind her.
At this moment, Xiang Xueer stared at Li Yunyang for a long time, while Lan Ran Qingtian began searching the room for an antidote to the snake venom.
"I can't find anything!" Qingtian exclaimed after a flurry of activity without success. Xiang Xueer sighed deeply, "You don't need to look anymore; the Serpent Empress would never leave the antidote here!"
"Are you saying the antidote is still on the Serpent Empress?" Qingtian crossed his arms over his chest. Although they had found the Serpent Empress's lair, they still had no leads. "Another fruitless effort. I have no idea where to find that beast."
'Tap tap tap!' The sound of footsteps grew closer. Xiang Xueer's lips curled into a cold smile, "No need to search anymore; isn't that guy coming right to us?"
Upon hearing this, Qingtian furrowed his brows and looked around the cramped cave, "Oh no, it looks like we have to fight here!"
Xiang Xueer looked up at the beams in the cave and lightly jumped onto one of them. She nodded at Lan Ran Qingtian, who quickly hid above as well.
The footsteps finally approached. A young woman descended from the stairs and slowly walked in. Suddenly, her red pupils constricted rapidly, and a seductive smile appeared on her lips as she casually walked in.
"Darling, I'm back!" As soon as she entered, she walked over to Li Yunyang standing there, wrapping her arms around his neck with a flirtatious gesture and caressing his cheek. "My dear, did you miss me while I was gone?"
Xiang Xueer held her breath, fists clenched tightly. This scoundrel was actually being so affectionate in front of her; that damn snake demon must be crazy for men.
"Hehe!" The Serpent Empress smiled as she tilted Li Yunyang's chin up and leaned in with her soft pink lips ready to kiss him. "I know you missed me; come on, give me a kiss!"
"Damn it! How dare you kiss my man!" Xiang Xueer finally couldn't hold back any longer. She leaped down from the beam above, raising the dagger in her hand and lunging fiercely at the Serpent Empress.
With a swift turn, the Serpent Empress effortlessly disarmed her attack, as if she had been prepared all along. She elegantly sat down on a nearby chair and said, "Little girl, I knew you were hiding there all along. What's wrong? Are you angry seeing me tease your beloved?"
"Hahaha!" The Serpent Empress laughed boisterously. "Look at that angry little face of yours; it's quite beautiful! Who would have thought that the dignified Demon Realm Princess would get furious over a man!"
"Hmph!" Xiang Xueer snorted coldly, spinning the dagger in her hand rapidly. "I don't know what nonsense you're talking about, but I will make you shut up completely!"
The fierce attack began. In the cramped cavern, Xiang Xueer unleashed her full power. With two swift sounds, the dagger flew toward the Serpent Empress, who dodged effortlessly and disarmed her attack.
The Serpent Empress stood by with a smile, playfully twirling her long hair and striking a pose. "Oh dear, hurry up and let that one inside you come out. Your attacks are really lacking!"
"Oh? That’s not necessarily true!" Xiang Xueer raised an eyebrow, revealing a confident smile. Just then, above the beam facing the Serpent Empress, Lan Ran Qingtian had already formed his hands into a tiger claw shape, ready to attack. "Exorcism Essence: Tiger Biting Twin Dragons Fist!"
His fists carried immense destructive power as the air around them condensed into a forceful strike aimed at the Serpent Empress. In an instant, the entire cavern began to shake violently as debris rained down upon them.
"Qingtian, this is a dangerous place; be careful with your movements!" Xiang Xueer shouted anxiously. Quickly pulling out an AK-47 from behind her, she dodged the attacking Serpent Empress and began firing wildly!
The cavern was filled with the strong smell of gunpowder as the Serpent Empress had never seen such a weapon before. A bullet struck her left arm, causing blood to flow out.
"Damn it, what kind of thing is this?" she shouted angrily, looking up at the crumbling cavern and muttering to herself, "This is bad; it seems this place won't hold much longer!"
