"Roar!" The citizens who had been cursed were continuously screaming, each one reaching out in an attempt to grab him, all trying to climb the walls. However, they seemed not strong enough and could only jump in place, unable to leap over the high walls.
It seems we are temporarily safe! Xiang Xueer took a deep breath. This group of cursed Zombies appeared to be the citizens of this Shili Slope, but who could have done such a wicked thing to curse the people?
"Hmph!" Li Yunyang angrily punched the tiles: "No need to guess; it must be the Serpent Empress. She wants to turn all the citizens in the city into her Zombie army!"
"What should we do?" Xiang Xueer looked down at the still unscattered Zombie Army. Are we going to hide here forever? They had been hiding on the rooftop for an entire night without daring to move. She turned her head and asked, "Hey? What about that dead Duck?"
"Hmph, do I even need to say? In such danger, it must have run away long ago!" Lian Cheng Xue said with extreme disdain.
As dawn gradually broke, darkness faded away, and as the glaring sunlight emerged, the group of Zombies seemed to feel intense discomfort and began to sway as they walked back down the street from where they came.
"It seems they are not adapting well to daylight!" Lian Cheng Xue observed the rapidly retreating Zombies. "Could it be they are heading back to their lair?"
"Hmph! I think that's highly likely!" Xiang Xueer jumped down from the high wall and started chasing after them, with the three behind her following closely. Suddenly, Li Yunyang felt dizzy and weak all over, collapsing onto the ground.
"Brother Li, what happened to you?" Qingtian quickly stopped and helped Li Yunyang up. Upon closer inspection, his face was pale, with dark circles forming around his eyes, and his fingernails were gradually growing longer and turning black!
"Corpse Poison!" Lian Cheng Xue quickly reached out to touch his forehead, which was already becoming cold. Xiang Xueer rushed over, seeing him trembling all over, and quickly grabbed him, asking, "What... what is happening?"

Lian Cheng Xue looked up at the sun and then helped him into a nearby inn: "It seems like he has been poisoned, and the sunlight is too strong. Brother Li is already feeling very uncomfortable!"

"Okay! Be careful!" Lian Cheng Xue nodded, and Xiang Xueer and Qingtian followed the direction the Zombie had left. They walked for a long time without any clues, and the footprints on the ground mysteriously disappeared in the woods outside Shili Slope.
"Damn it!" Xiang Xueer kicked her foot in frustration, worrying about Li Yunyang: "These bastards are just playing with us!"
Lan Ran Qingtian reached out to examine the surroundings and noticed several red flowers blooming on the ground. After squatting down to observe them closely, he looked up at his surroundings: "If I'm not mistaken, this is the entrance to Ghost City!"
"The entrance to Ghost City?" Xiang Xueer looked at him curiously: "What did you find?"
Qingtian pointed at the few red flowers on the ground that had no leaves: "This flower is called the Ghost Flower, unique to the Underworld. It is said that this flower blooms for a thousand years and withers for a thousand years; its petals and leaves never meet again, forever lost in longing."
Xiang Xueer frowned as she stared at the flowers; indeed, there were no leaves on those fiery red blooms. This was the entrance to the Underworld, and those Zombies had vanished here. Could it be that they came from the Underworld?
Sighing, she realized that after searching for so long, they still hadn't found any clues. The two prepared to return to the inn to make plans. However, as they entered through the inn's door, they were stunned by what lay before them.
The place was in chaos; Lian Cheng Xue lay on the ground unconscious with an injury on his back, while Li Yunyang was nowhere to be found. Qingtian hurriedly helped Lian Cheng Xue: "Lian Xiong, wake up! What happened?"
After a moment, Lian Cheng Xue slowly opened his eyes and exclaimed excitedly: "Brother Li, Brother Li has been taken by the Serpent Empress!"
"What?" Xiang Xueer felt a surge of shock as she looked around at the disorder: "What is going on? Quickly tell me!"
After chasing Xiang Xueer and Qingtian out, Lian Cheng Xue took care of Li Yunyang. Before long, a young woman suddenly appeared before them. Brother Li didn't know what was happening and became unusually irritable, struggling to stand up and accidentally injuring him. Lian Cheng Xue was severely injured and lay on the ground unable to move. Unexpectedly, after injuring him, Li Yunyang obediently followed the woman away.
Li Yunyang followed that woman? Like a well-behaved pet dog? Xiang Xueer was baffled, and the atmosphere suddenly became tense.
"I know what's going on," a familiar voice suddenly erupted from the doorway. The three looked up to see that Duck waddling in with a swagger.
"Get lost! I'm in a bad mood right now and don't want to chat with you!" Xiang Xueer impatiently cursed, but Platypus crossed its arms: "Hey, sister, I'm here to help you. Can't you be a bit nicer to me?"
"Tell me, what do you know?" Qingtian stepped forward and grabbed its slender neck: "If you dare to talk nonsense, I'll roast you over the fire immediately!"
"Wow!" Platypus kicked its legs in panic: "Let me go... I’ll tell you!"
Lan Ran Qingtian released it, and Platypus, rubbing its neck, proudly began to dance around the room: "Just now, I was secretly watching outside. That woman must be the Serpent Empress. I heard from Great Yokai that the Serpent Empress’s greatest achievement is using her snake venom to create an army of Zombies. The Bakemono learned from her! So, as long as that guy named Li Yunyang is poisoned by the Corpse Poison, he will become a Zombie of the Serpent Empress. As long as the snake venom isn't cured, he will be a puppet in her hands!"
Become a Zombie of the Serpent Empress? Hearing this made Xiang Xueer seethe with anger. She clenched her fists and slammed them on the table, her forehead twitching: "Serpent Empress, you bastard! How dare you touch my people? Just wait!"
In a dark cavern at Shili Slope, rows of cages held hundreds of local citizens who had been turned into Zombies by the Serpent Empress.
A woman dressed in a red long gown, with alluring red lips and enchanting eyes, stared at the image appearing in the crystal ball—Xiang Xueer's furious face—and suddenly laughed heartily: "You little brat, today I finally get my revenge!"
She slowly stood up, curiously observing the motionless Li Yunyang standing beside her. His mouth and eye bags were all black; the poison of the Serpent Empress had already seeped deep into his bones. In her words, this body was just a soulless shell that would completely obey her commands!
