Bakemono twitched its eyes a few times, waved its hand, and disassembled all the bones in its body, shouting, "Whoever can catch this assassin, I will make them the Vanguard General!" 0

"The General?" This was indeed very tempting. A group of Little Goblin began to stir with excitement. Inside the cave, Platypus heard these three words and immediately scrambled up from the ground, its bald rear end rushing out of the cave: "Great Yokai, I want to be the General, I'm coming!" 0

"Hey, you bastard Duck!" Li Yunyang anxiously shook the cage, resembling a gorilla in a zoo. He was worried about what was happening outside but found himself unable to get out, jumping up and down in frustration. 0

The noise outside was incessant. Xiang Xueer and Lan Ran Qingtian had been surrounded by Little Goblin, unable to fully unleash their abilities. However, due to Taotie, Bakemono seemed a bit apprehensive and did not dare to attack recklessly. 0

Xiang Xueer surveyed the battlefield around her and realized they had to retreat quickly. She reached out and patted her companion Taotie, whispering, "At this critical moment, I need you to bear with it and act as a mount, okay?" 0

"Easy peasy, just give me the orders!" Taotie's red eyes flashed, then it raised its Dragon Tail, performing a dragon's tail sweep that wrapped around Xiang Xueer and Lan Ran Qingtian. With a gentle motion, the two were securely seated on its back. 0

Bakemono furrowed its brow at the sudden turn of events and quickly understood that the two were preparing to escape. It shouted loudly, "You little ones, they are trying to escape! Hurry up and catch them!" 0

"Yayaya!" At that moment, a terrifying scream suddenly echoed from the sky. Xiang Xueer looked up at a dark object descending from above. As it got closer, she realized it was that idiot Duck, flying down with a fist aimed at the two of them while shouting, "Ah ha ha! I've caught you! The General is mine now!" 0

This idiot really thinks he's Superman? Xiang Xueer squinted at the approaching Platypus, calmly swung her fist, and instantly knocked it out with a single blow. There was a 'whoosh' sound as the idiot fell to the ground, stars in its eyes. 0

"Taotie, let's hurry up and go!" Xiang Xueer tightly grasped its Dragon Horns, while Qingtian wrapped his arms around her waist. With a quick turn of its head, Taotie leaped into action, creating a gust of wind as it carried both of them away from the ground. 0

"Should I give them a fiery lesson and burn this mountain until nothing is left?" A wave of heat gathered in Taotie's mouth as it coldly contemplated teaching those dead Duck a lesson. 0

"No! Let's leave quickly!" Xiang Xueer hurriedly stopped it. "Li Yunyang is still in their hands; what if he gets hurt?" 0

Xiang Xueer shook her head, and Taotie swallowed the flames that were about to burst from his mouth after listening. The three of them quickly disappeared into the night, as the sky began to lighten, signaling the end of darkness and the approach of Daylight. 0

"Damn it!" Bakemono looked up at Taotie flying in the air, his face dark as he stopped the monsters rushing up behind him. "Don't chase them; let them go!" 0

"Hmph! These two guys are indeed formidable!" Bakemono cursed inwardly. "If only the Second and Third Elders were at Duckbill Mountain, my brothers and I would have dealt with them long ago!" 0

"Yes!" The subordinate obediently stepped aside. Bakemono turned to look at his men and asked, "Why are the Second and Third Elders taking so long? It's been three days since they went to catch an Exorcist. When will they be back?" 0

"Back to Great Yokai! It is said that the two Elders will return tomorrow!" a Little Goblin quickly replied. 0

A smile finally appeared on Bakemono's face as he quickly draped his cloak over himself. "That's great! It seems our wishes are about to be fulfilled!" 0

Lying on the ground, dazed and seeing stars, Platypus wobbled to his feet and stumbled over, grabbing Bakemono's leg and wagging his tail like a dog. "Hehe, Great Yokai, it doesn't matter that they ran away; I caught one!" 0

"You caught one? Where?" Upon hearing this, Bakemono immediately put on a sinister smile. "I didn't expect you to be so capable; hurry up and take me to see!" 0

Platypus hurriedly led the way. "Great Yokai, listen to me. This group of assassins is very cunning. When I caught one, they tried to force me to reveal our Duckbill Mountain's secrets. I would rather die than yield, then pretended to surrender and tricked them into a cave, trapping one of them in a cage!" 0

"Oh?" After hearing this, Bakemono quickly followed him into the cave. Sure enough, inside the cage was Li Yunyang, who was trapped inside. Bakemono squinted and stepped forward, looking him over. "Hahaha! I didn't expect to have some gains tonight!" 0

"You filthy demon!" Li Yunyang glared with eagle-like eyes as he stood up angrily, raising his Azure Dragon Sword and slashing wildly. "If you have the guts, let me out! I'll fight you for three hundred rounds!" 0

"Ahahaha!" Seeing this, Bakemono couldn't help but laugh heartily. Leaning against the iron cage's post, he smacked his lips and said, "Oh dear, a defeated general is not worthy of speaking of bravery. You're trapped in a cage; do you think you can challenge me?" 0

"You...!" Li Yunyang was momentarily speechless. If it weren't for his blind trust in this Stinky Duck, he wouldn't have been so careless as to end up locked in a cage. The Stinky Duck turned its head and glared fiercely at the Platypus: "You traitor who eats from both sides, you will die a terrible death one day!" 0

Bakemono glanced sideways at the Platypus standing beside it, a cold smile spreading across its lips: "Not bad, not bad. You have both courage and strategy; this title of Vanguard General suits you well!" 0

After saying that, it turned and left: "Make sure to keep an eye on this Exorcist. Once the two masters return, our Sacrifice can begin!" 0

"Oh no, this is bad. Am I just here to make up the numbers?" Li Yunyang regretted it too late. However, it was too late now. Outside had fallen silent; Xiang Xueer and Qingtian had already safely left. As long as they were fine, he hoped there would still be a chance for a turnaround. 0

"Haha, General! I am the General!" Over here, a certain bald-bottomed Duck was rolling on the ground in excitement due to its sudden promotion, flailing its arms and legs in a frenzy before striking a pose and shouting: "I am the General now!" 0

Sigh! Li Yunyang let out a deep sigh. He didn't know when Xiang Xueer would come to rescue him. For now, it seemed he had to stay with this mentally unstable Duck. Master, where are you? 0

Meanwhile, Taotie had returned to Exorcism Village with the two of them. Xiang Xueer and Qingtian reached the entrance, and she turned to stroke Taotie's smooth fur: "Thank you. You can return to the Void Realm for now; we don't need you for the time being." 0

"Understood!" Taotie nodded and then disappeared in a puff of white smoke. 0

The two returned to Lian Cheng Xue's home. Upon hearing their voices, he turned around and saw them back, quickly asking: "You're back! How did it go? Did you find any clues?" 0

For a moment, both of them were silent. Lian Cheng Xue slowly propped himself up and glanced behind them curiously: "Hey? Why are there only the two of you? Where's that Li Yunyang?" 0

"Alas!" Qingtian sighed and slowly sat down on a stool: "Lian Xiong, it's all our fault for being careless this time. That scoundrel Duck actually tricked us and led us into a cave. As a result, Brother Li fell for it and ended up locked in a cage made of Thousand-Year Mysterious Iron!" 0
