"Ugh!" Li Yunyang reached out to touch his shoulder, suddenly feeling a chill run down his spine, and the hairs on his body stood on end. He turned to glance at the peak of the mountain across from him, then nudged Xiang Xueer and asked, "Hey, did you hear something strange calling over there?" 0

Holding torches in their hands to illuminate the surroundings as they searched for an escape route, Xiang Xueer followed his gaze to the hillside across and shook her head. "I didn't hear anything. Aren't you a dog? Go sniff around and see where there's a way out." 0

"You're the dog!" Li Yunyang retorted irritably. Suddenly, Xiang Xueer stopped in her tracks, grabbing his arm and exclaimed, "Don't move! I feel something's off!" 0

Upon hearing her words, Li Yunyang halted. He looked around and quickly noticed that the mist surrounding the forest was growing thicker, even causing objects just a few meters away to become increasingly blurred. 0

"This is bad; there are demons!" Li Yunyang drew his Azure Dragon Sword. The two of them stuck their torches into the ground and stood back-to-back, not daring to take a step forward. Xiang Xueer held her AK47 tightly, cursing Li Yunyang under her breath: "It's all your fault, you idiot! If you hadn't let that Tree Demon go, we wouldn't be trapped in this hellhole!" 0

"Now it's my fault again!" Li Yunyang snapped back angrily, and they began to argue once more. At that moment, she instinctively sensed something behind the rock near Xiang Xueer's right hand. She glanced over quickly and then hurriedly shushed him: "Quiet! Something's coming!" 0

Li Yunyang wrinkled his nose and sniffed the air a few times; his expression changed instantly. He stepped forward to shield Xiang Xueer behind him, his keen eyes fixed on the rock while pointing his sword toward it. 0

Xiang Xueer shot a sideways glance at Li Yunyang; she had never seen him look so tense before. It was clear that whatever was approaching was no ordinary creature. 0

A low growl echoed through the forest, sending tremors through the trees. Xiang Xueer felt her hair stand on end as sweat trickled down her back. Her fingers tightened around the trigger of her gun, not daring to relax for a moment. 0

A dark figure emerged from behind the rock, its gray-black fur glistening in the dim light of night, making it appear even darker overall. Only its green eyes flickered strangely in the mist. 0

"A wolf?" was Xiang Xueer's first thought. Judging by its shape, it did resemble a wolf she had seen in the wild, only larger and more muscular. However, as she focused on the sharp horns atop its head—resembling those of a rhinoceros—she frowned and said, "What is that? Do wolves have horns?" 0

"This is no ordinary wolf; this is a Hellhound!" Li Yunyang said as he held Xiang Xueer back with one hand and slowly began to retreat. His breathing became unsteady as both of them kept their eyes locked on those slowly approaching green orbs. 0

Hellhound? This is the first time Xiang Xueer has heard of it, but from the context, it seems to come from hell. At this moment, Li Yunyang swallowed hard and quietly said beside her, "Wait for my signal. I'll distract it, and you find a chance to run!" 0

"What? You want me to run away?" Xiang Xueer immediately exploded in anger: "Nonsense! I've never done anything as shameful as running away in my life. No way!" 0

Li Yunyang's expression darkened as he pushed her back forcefully: "Shut up! Dead Girl, you need to listen to me now. This is not an ordinary wolf or dog. If it bites you, you'll be dragged to hell!" 0

Dragged to hell? Xiang Xueer was startled by this statement. She turned her head to stare at the Hellhound that was ready to pounce at any moment. Its front legs were poised to attack, and black liquid dripped from its sharp teeth onto the ground, corroding it with a sizzling sound that mixed with its growls. 0

"Hellhound? Hmph! Interesting!" Xiang Xueer slowly put away her AK-47, realizing that taking it down from a distance was impossible. Instead, she drew two daggers from her thighs and decided to engage in close combat. 0

"What are you doing? Are you crazy?" Li Yunyang was furious at her actions. Xiang Xueer sneered and pointed at the Hellhound, provocatively shouting, "I, Xiang Xueer, have died once already. I should be in hell; I just haven't been there yet due to luck. You are just a guard dog from hell. If you have the guts, come at me! I'll accompany you today and show you that humans are the masters of this world, not dogs!" 0

"Roar!" The Hellhound, seemingly understanding Xiang Xueer's provocation, bared its fangs and roared loudly, shaking the entire forest. The leaves rustled as if stirred by the wind. 0

At the top of the hill, Heart Demon sat on a high stone wall, swinging his legs back and forth leisurely while observing the battle below: "Oh, quite bold of you to provoke my beloved dog. Hehe, little girl, let me see just how capable you really are!" 0

The Hellhound was already poised to attack, and Li Yunyang felt like his eyes were about to pop out; this girl must be insane. 0

Although this was the first time he had seen a Hellhound, he had grown up among wolves. This type of Hellhound, while resembling a dog, was much more similar to a wolf and far more ferocious. Anything bitten by them would be dragged into hell and never reincarnated. 0

Xiang Xueer waved her two daggers back and forth in her hands and then made a gesture towards him before slowly moving toward the back of the Hellhound. 0

With two against one, they should have an advantage, or so Xiang Xueer thought. However, what happened next made her feel a sense of dread. 0

A howl erupted from the damned Hellhound, followed by a surge at its neck. With a 'pop,' its skin split open, flesh tearing apart in an instant, spraying blood everywhere. Then, a wolf's head slowly emerged from the wound, transforming into a two-headed wolf. 0

Xiang Xueer gaped in shock, her face darkening as she pointed at the wolf and cursed, "You shameless mutt! What's wrong? Afraid you can't beat me, so you want to split into two?" 0

Li Yunyang wiped the sweat from his forehead in disbelief. The Hellhound was also known as the Two-Headed Beast. This Xiang Xueer was making a fuss without knowing anything, and now they had no choice but to fight. 0

In an instant, the area just a few steps away transformed into an arena. The mist rising around them enveloped them completely, obscuring everything beyond fifty paces. 0

The air was thick with Killing Intent, mixed with the Hellhound's hissing growls. Both sides fell into a prolonged standoff, searching for even the slightest moment of weakness in each other—just 0.001 seconds would suffice. 0

Suddenly, Li Yunyang stepped on a small tree branch. He frowned slightly; although he didn't look down, it provided the Hellhound with the opportunity to strike. With a swift motion, its black figure lunged forward like a speeding leopard. Before he could blink, the beast's front legs were already pouncing towards Li Yunyang. 0

"Oh no, that idiot!" Seeing that Li Yunyang hadn't raised his Azure Dragon Sword in time, Xiang Xueer furrowed her brow and hurled her dagger at the rapidly approaching Hellhound. 0

The dagger flew quickly as Xiang Xueer put all her strength into it, hoping to save Li Yunyang. However, the two-headed beast was formidable; one head attacked Li Yunyang while the other kept its eyes on Xiang Xueer, opening its mouth to precisely bite down on her thrown dagger. 0
