"Little girl, I didn't expect you to have some skills!" The Old Tree Demon’s Red Eyes flashed as countless tree roots shot up from the ground, swirling in the air, trying to pull Xiang Xueer down from the Tree Trunk.
"Hmph!" Xiang Xueer snorted coldly, calmly dodging the attacks of the tree roots. She seemed to perform perfect backflips and rolls on the Tree Trunk, like a gymnastics champion on the Olympic balance beam.
Li Yunyang blinked as he watched Xiang Xueer effortlessly neutralize the attack. Noticing that the Old Tree Demon was not paying much attention to him, he quickly raised his Azure Dragon Sword, aimed at the Tree Demon’s eyes, and shouted, "Azure Dragon Slash!"
The blade flashed, and the sword energy struck like a fierce storm, landing squarely on the old demon's face. A scream echoed through the forest as Li Yunyang seized the opportunity and swung his long sword, easily cutting through the old Vine that bound him.
"Thud!" "Ah!" This time it was Li Yunyang's scream as he fell headfirst to the ground, seeing stars and unable to get up for a while.
"Useless!" Xiang Xueer glared at Li Yunyang, who was sprawled on the ground. Gripping her dagger tightly, she leaped down from the trunk. The previously aggressive Little Tree Demons were thrown into chaos by the injury of the Old Tree Demon and hurriedly tried to flee in all directions.
"Trying to run? Not so easy!" Xiang Xueer moved like the wind, pursuing them with decisive and skillful actions. Within seconds, those Little Tree Demons turned into a cloud of black ash, instantly disappearing without a trace.
"My eyes! My eyes! Ah!" The Old Tree Demon, injured and unable to open its Red Eyes, flailed its body wildly. The tree roots danced in the air, making loud cracking sounds as they struck around. The entire forest shook violently, with dust and wood chips flying everywhere, severely obstructing visibility.
Knowing it was not wise to attack recklessly now, Xiang Xueer cautiously approached the rampaging Old Tree Demon. She then kicked Li Yunyang, who was still lying on the ground with a dazed expression: "Hey, get up quickly! How long do you plan to slack off?"
Li Yunyang stood up unsteadily with a large purple bump on his forehead. He looked at the furious Tree Demon and couldn't help but laugh bitterly while cursing, "You damn monster! How dare you grab me? Serves you right for being blind; let's see if you dare act arrogant again!"
"Enough nonsense! Let’s finish it off quickly so we can get out of this forest!" Xiang Xueer said as she prepared to take out her AK47 for a quick shot. However, Li Yunyang stopped her with a flourish of his head with the bump: "Don't interfere; let me handle this!"
He proudly raised his Azure Dragon Sword and circled around the furious Old Tree Demon before striking a pose with his sword. Seeing his stance, Xiang Xueer rolled her eyes and found a clean spot to sit down. Resting her chin on her hand, she advised him casually: "Hey, pighead, move faster and don’t let me down!"
"Hmph, I can't always let you take the spotlight. If this goes on, won't I have less and less status at home?" Li Yunyang rubbed his nose, not wanting to show his hand to make her shut up. Once they were married, he couldn't let her ride on his head.
With that, he shouted angrily, using all his strength, "Azure Dragon Slash!"
Before the word 'slash' could even leave his mouth, the Old Tree Demon, though blind, could still sense danger. It quickly dodged with a flick of its tail, kicking up a cloud of dust that made it hard to breathe.
"Cough cough cough!" Xiang Xueer covered her mouth and coughed. The Azure Dragon Sword held by Li Yunyang slowly came to a stop. After a while, the dust gradually settled. When the two looked closely, there was no trace of the Old Tree Demon; it had long since disappeared.
"Ah!" Li Yunyang stretched his neck and shouted angrily, "That cunning dead Demon actually dared to play tricks on me! If you have guts, don't run away!"
Fools would always be fools; they could never change. Xiang Xueer was at a loss for words to describe him. With a dark expression, she found a place to sit down and glared at the lingering mist around them, furious to the point of smoke coming out of her ears.
Li Yunyang looked eagerly at Xiang Xueer's face; it was clear she was angry. He quickly pointed across and said, "You... don't be mad! I'll go chase it right now and definitely take care of it before tonight!"
"Li Yunyang, are you a pig or what? I told you countless times not to mess things up, yet you still failed me!" Xiang Xueer poked the bump on his head hard with one hand, causing him to scream in pain, "Don't poke there! It hurts so much!"
Meanwhile, deep in the forest, a small figure stood atop a tree over ten meters high. The Light Blue Long Robe fluttered in the wind as he gazed into the distance before vanishing into the darkness.
The figure weaved through patches of trees with movements as swift as a ghost. Suddenly, he stopped, hands behind his back, glancing over his shoulder as he shouted, "Still hiding? Come out!"
A circle gradually appeared on the ground, and then a Camphor Tree slowly poked its head out from within. Its injured red eyes were still dripping with dark liquid. Upon hearing the voice of the newcomer, it quickly emerged.
"Heart Demon! Heart Demon! Please save me... I can't see!" The Old Tree Demon cried out in desperation. The Heart Demon turned around with a youthful face that gradually grew cold and said indifferently, "Old Camphor Tree, you've lived for a thousand years; how come you're still so unprogressive?"
The Old Tree Demon cried out in pain, continuously kneeling on the ground and pleading, "General Heart Demon, please heal my eyes. As long as I recover, I can serve Lord Demon Lord again!"
"Hahaha!" Heart Demon let out a chilling laugh, his blue pupils unable to hide the intense Killing Intent within: "A worthless creature like you dares to serve Lord Demon Lord? Go die!"
After saying this, Heart Demon swiftly waved his sleeve. Suddenly, a series of wolf howls echoed from an unknown source. From behind the rocks, a pair of eerie green eyes flickered with cold light, and the scent of wild beasts filled the air. In an instant, a black figure leaped out from behind the rocks, pouncing toward the injured Tree Demon.
"Ah! Heart Demon, you..." The Tree Demon's voice was drowned out by the savage bites of the hungry wolves. The terrifying sounds sent chills down one's spine. In no time, pools of dark green liquid flowed like rivers on the ground, with several dismembered limbs scattered across the surface.
"Haha! Come here!" Heart Demon slightly beckoned to the black Demon Wolf. A wolf with green eyes approached him, its white, eerie fangs still stained with dark green blood. The sharp horn on its forehead resembled that of a Rhinoceros and looked as if it could pierce through flesh with just a touch.
Hearing Heart Demon's call, it obediently walked over and lay down, rubbing its neck against his legs as if trying to please its master.
"Good boy!" Heart Demon reached out to stroke its black fur and leaned down to look at the opposite side from a distance: "Darling, these worthless creatures are just too incompetent. There's no choice but to let you take action this time. Don't worry; if you perform well, I will celebrate your achievements in front of Lord Demon Lord!"
"Aw!" The creature stood up after hearing this, turned around, and leaped onto the rock it had just been on, letting out a loud roar that echoed throughout the valley.
