Chapter Three begins with a detailed discussion about the organization.
After the first UFO incident, countries around the world increased their attention to extraterrestrial civilizations and began surveying areas within their regions that had recorded mysterious events.
People have always yearned for extraterrestrial civilizations, but humanity still harbors a fear of them.
The Bermuda Triangle is a mysterious area of ocean where ships frequently encounter disasters, which is why the organization only recently began investigating Bermuda.
As for why the organization was formed?
Research institutions in various countries have their own unresolved issues, leading them to come together for discussions. Eventually, they decided to establish an organization that would be authorized to research any region on Earth.
This organization is what Ziyu is set to investigate, and its headquarters is a combination of the highest technology in the world!
The organization has existed for at least 40 years. Due to its highly confidential nature, it seeks out gifted homeless children, orphans, or young people who have failed in their life paths.
The organization's research has amassed a wealth of data that Ziyu will discover upon delving deeper into it.
Once these individuals enter the organization, they must remain there for life; they cannot leave because this involves another important matter.
Over the years, the organization has achieved a significant result, which is also the most effective outcome in its research on extraterrestrial civilizations or unsolved mysteries of Earth.
Various signs indicate that by combining all traces of extraterrestrial civilizations, it can be concluded that there are indeed aliens monitoring Earth... and they are not friendly!
The organization has always existed in secrecy, making covert investigations more convenient. It has discovered that aliens have already hidden themselves on Earth, living as humans. Moreover, there have been several instances of aliens appearing within the organization, but its strict security measures have prevented any information from leaking out.
Once a person enters the organization, they cannot engage in frequent interactions with the outside world, cannot leave the organization, and cannot disclose any information about it. Thus, the organization has remained completely secretive over the years.
"Then why? Why can't we let these people be free?" Ziyu asked.
"Freedom... In the outside world, perhaps one of your friends is an alien in disguise. If you get to know them and say too much, won't that expose our actions to the aliens?" Number Three replied.
Number Three was once a chosen Orphan. Although it was tough and exhausting, at least Number Three was working for Earth. He never slacked off and eventually climbed to this position within the organization.
But then Number Three met Ziyu.
An Orphan named Ziyu.
At first, Number Three, also an Orphan, understood the pain of having no family. He didn't want Ziyu to suffer and be lonely like he did, so he secretly defied the organization's rules and went through the adoption process with Ziyu.
However, the truth couldn't be hidden forever. With a family and Ziyu by his side, life naturally became different—there were some changes... The organization discovered Ziyu's existence.
According to the rules, Ziyu was supposed to have an "accident" at some point and then die, but Ziyu's computer skills saved him.
Number Three told the organization that adopting Ziyu was to ensure that Ziyu could serve the organization in the future. Ziyu now possessed extraordinary computer skills that could benefit Earth... and then Ziyu was captured by the organization.
Number Three could guarantee Ziyu's survival, but he couldn't ensure that Ziyu would live comfortably.
On the day Ziyu piloted the spaceship away, Number Three felt very complicated... Ziyu didn't understand the significance of the organization's existence, so he escaped. Although Ziyu gained freedom, if the organization had a chance, they would definitely kill Ziyu directly.
In the past, several who had escaped didn't survive more than a day.
"Well... I misunderstood you at first; I couldn't understand you... I'm sorry... I really mean it," Ziyu said with a shrug.
Ziyu appeared indifferent on the surface but felt a huge sense of relief inside; he truly didn't want to believe that Number Three was a cold-blooded person.
The organization's history and purpose truly surprised Ziyu.
"You don't need to apologize. I'm not a good father; that's a fact..." Number Three said, "I don't need you to respect me in the future, just don't be hostile towards me."
Ziyu's nose suddenly felt a bit sour. The anticipated explosive confrontation did not happen, yet emotions still took center stage.
"That's about it; we've said most of what needs to be said... Is there anything you don't understand? You'll encounter this in the future, right..." Number Three continued, "I think your skills could directly elevate you to the leadership level within the organization... If you're willing, I can submit an application and take you to see some confidential matters."
"I'll think about it..." Ziyu lowered his head, unsure of what to do.
Number Three was right; bringing Ziyu into the organization was also to ensure his survival... The organization's existence wasn't without merit; it was for the sake of Earth's survival.
"What if I don't join?" Ziyu asked.
"Some of what I've told you is classified; ordinary people shouldn't know..." Number Three paused, "If you refuse, you'll be against the whole world. Every country will find a reason to hunt you down. Even if you're a Transformer, you'll still face dire consequences."
"That may not be the case..." Ziyu smiled lightly, "It seems we won't be fighting after all. I'll head back and think it over."
Without waiting for Number Three's response, Ziyu soared into the sky and returned along the same route.
"Squad, prepare to engage! Take down the target!!" The military immediately reacted.
"No need, it's our own..." Number Three said.
He understood what kind of person Ziyu was. Even if Ziyu chose not to join the organization and managed to survive, he would never disclose anything about the organization or aliens to anyone else.
On his way back, Ziyu felt a whirlwind of thoughts in his mind, unable to calm down.
"Are you joining?" Ziyu suddenly thought that the organization still had a complete Mysterious Metal meteorite, which could improve the Battle Armor... or even develop something incredible.
By that time, Ziyu would be the head of the organization... able to control it, and he would certainly have some freedom.
"I should tell Ye Ling about this." Ziyu trusted Ye Ling the most now; she was from ancient times and was the one he could trust the most.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"I'm back." Ziyu opened the door and collapsed onto the bed. Ye Ling had promised Ziyu that she would wait at his home until he returned.
"You're back! How did it go?" Ye Ling only cared that Ziyu returned safely.
"What do you think I should do?" Ziyu recounted everything about the organization.
"Oh right, I was in such a rush that I haven't caught the leader of the Loss Incident yet!" Ziyu slapped his forehead, realizing he had only been thinking about his own matters while that person remained unfound.
"I don't know how to deal with the organization's issues either... Why don't you first calm down the Zombie situation?" Ye Ling said with a frown.
Both Ziyu and Ye Ling felt a sense of impending storm...
[PS: It seems that the explanation about the organization is not very clear... If anyone has questions, feel free to ask in the book reviews, and I will answer. There will be more descriptions about the organization later, so any unclear points can be understood by reading further.]
