Once Mu Junqi was placed in the water, she suddenly struggled against it, splashing a lot of water out. She began to mumble something unintelligible, and soon tears started streaming down her face, indicating she must have dreamed of something terrifying.
With no other choice, Mo Xiao Li stepped into the water and held her in his arms. After a while, she finally calmed down. Seeing this, Mo Xiao Li quickly urged, "You two speed it up."
After giving his orders, Ziyue carefully removed Mu Junqi's tattered clothes. Once all of them were off, she couldn't help but gasp in shock. Huixin also saw it and cried out, "Your Highness, how much suffering have you endured inside?"
Mo Xiao Li looked at her back in confusion and was met with uneven scars covering her entire back. It was clear that during her time in the Cold Palace, she had endured severe beatings. His heart ached as if he could hardly breathe; he reached out to gently touch those wounds. Perhaps it hurt quite a bit because she let out a soft groan. He then stopped his movements and told Ziyue, "You must be gentle," before turning to Huixin and saying, "Go get the ointment and find some clean and comfortable clothes."
With tears in her eyes, Ziyue slowly soaked a cloth in water and began to wipe gently. Although her movements were already slow, they still caused Mu Junqi pain enough for her to whimper. Ziyue had no choice but to speed up; looking at those wounds, she guessed they must have been inflicted not long ago because of the cold weather and lack of ointment that had delayed healing. Some wounds had already begun to ooze pus.
When they had almost finished wiping her down, Huixin came in with the items. Mo Xiao Li gently placed Mu Junqi on a soft couch nearby while Ziyue and Huixin carefully dried her off with a cloth. Only then did Mo Xiao Li take out the ointment to apply it for her.
The air was filled with a faint herbal scent. After finishing tending to all the wounds, Huixin and Ziyue hurriedly helped her put on her clothes. Once everything was ready, Mo Xiao Li picked her up horizontally again and strode out, leaving the two of them exchanging glances.
After returning to the bedroom, Mo Xiao Li placed Mu Junqi back on the bed and covered her with a blanket before sitting beside her, watching her gently.
After a long while, Mo Xiao Li stood up and walked out, looking at Li Fusheng and saying, "Convey my decree: restore the Empress's position and have her return to Qinxiang Garden starting today!"

Hearing this, Consort Qian stepped forward, first bowing to him before speaking: "Your Majesty, do not forget that the Empress is Yin Fuzai; she may pose a threat to our country. Are you really going to sit idly by while our nation falls?"
Before she could finish speaking, Mo Xiao Li raised his hand and slapped her face angrily, growling, "How outrageous! Is this something you can say? I know better than any of you what kind of person the Empress is." He then turned to look at the Empress Dowager and softened his tone slightly: "Empress Dowager, if you are here to discuss this matter, I hope you will return early. I have already made my decision; no one can sway me." With that, he walked aside.
Seeing this, the Empress Dowager became angry and stood up abruptly. She looked toward the bedroom and said, "Do you really think that woman is that important in your eyes?"
"Empress Dowager, she—she is very important. However, that is not the issue right now. The problem is who punished her without permission. Empress Dowager, you do not know that she is covered in scars; it is evident that someone bullied her while she was in the Cold Palace!" After saying this, he glanced at Consort Qian beside him.
Consort Qian covered her face with one hand, standing to the side with her head lowered, not daring to say a word. At that moment, Li Fusheng walked in, respectfully greeting everyone before saying, "Your Majesty, Lin Mama has been brought in."
