"What is this? Where did you get this antique artifact?" Emma said after hanging her coat on the wall and looking at Bai Yujing.
Bai Yujing was holding a magnifying glass, examining a Bronze Tripod back and forth. To be honest, Bai Yujing had been doing this for an entire afternoon, and his eyes were sore and swollen, yet he still hadn't discovered anything. This item looked like an ordinary Bronze Cauldron; apart from some messy patterns, there wasn't even an inscription on it. What information could possibly be recorded on this?

It is not without possibility that Bai Yujing thought of another option: could this thing undergo some special change if it were burned? With this in mind, Bai Yujing decided to go for it. In the yard, he gathered some scrap paper and wood, started a fire, and placed the small cauldron above it, letting the flames blaze fiercely.
“Ian, are you playing with fire? Sister said not to play with fire; she’ll hit you!” At that moment, Bethany suddenly appeared behind Bai Yujing, speaking sneakily. However, seeing the roaring flames and the Bronze Cauldron above them made her quite excited.
Bai Yujing immediately shushed her: “Your sister is upstairs working on a project; it will take her an hour or two to finish. She doesn’t have time to bother with us!”
Bethany quickly replied, “Then let’s make the fire bigger! I’ll get more paper and wood!”
Bai Yujing immediately stopped Bethany. If the fire got any larger, it would start to smoke, and if the neighbors noticed, it would be troublesome. As the flames grew stronger, the Bronze Cauldron showed no signs of change. Bai Yujing also noticed nothing unusual. The melting point of bronze is relatively low; although this small cauldron appeared solid and extraordinary, Bai Yujing didn’t dare to keep burning it. If it deformed or got damaged, it would be even more troublesome.
However, after this test, Bai Yujing could confirm that fire had no effect. At this point, he was out of ideas. After the Bronze Tripod cooled down, he placed it in the safe, waiting for Qian Jia to come by tomorrow to decide whether to hand it over or how to deal with it.

After being disturbed by Bethany, Bai Yujing finally managed to prepare dinner. Watching Bethany making a ruckus as she pulled Emma down from the upstairs room brought a smile to his face.

Emma raised an eyebrow: “That’s something you should ask someone!”

"By the way, how did you get in without ringing the doorbell? How did the security let you in?" Bai Yujing only then remembered this issue.
