At night, Will Hackman suddenly pulled Bai Yujing aside, saying he wanted to discuss some matters with her. Bai Yujing and Emma had chosen a compartment in the wardrobe of their room at Pirus as their resting place, preparing to live there for a while.
Bai Yujing's backpack contained food, and since she had also stocked up on some dry rations in her territory space, it was enough for them for a period of time. Moreover, it was relatively convenient to obtain food here, although it was somewhat dangerous.
"What’s wrong?" Bai Yujing and Will Hackman climbed up to the top of the wardrobe from the compartment.
Will Hackman took off his backpack: "Alice and Kaka are not doing well. They've been like this since we arrived yesterday; take a look!"
Bai Yujing frowned: "That's not good. They aren't sick, are they? We don’t have a doctor here. Let me check!"
Hackman opened the small room for Alice and Kaka. This box had been carried by the old man all along, and Bai Yujing had no idea what its structure was like inside. Once opened, she found that it resembled a cheese-like structure, soft and full of hollows. The cavities served as living spaces with some fixed living utensils inside. This way, even if it shook during movement, living inside wouldn’t be too problematic!
There was also a small light on top of the box. After Hackman turned it on, Bai Yujing saw Alice and Kaka emerge. Both looked pale and somewhat weak. Bai Yujing immediately asked, "What happened? Are you sick? The only one here with medical knowledge is Emma; should I have her come up to take a look?"
Kaka replied, "It's not that. We feel like this place is rejecting us, not welcoming us in. Moreover, I sense another place that is welcoming us! This place doesn’t want Alice and me; it feels like something is draining our energy, leaving us unable to gather our spirits!"
Alice leaned on Kaka for support, barely able to speak and feeling somewhat dazed. Kaka was very worried: "Alice looks like she’s about to collapse. Can you think of a way to help her?"
Bai Yujing thought for a moment and said to Mr. Hackman, "I have a method, but Mr. Hackman, you must keep it a secret because it involves some gains I obtained in Atlantis that I don’t want too many people to know about!"
Hackman nodded in confusion. Bai Yujing reached out and pressed her hand on the box where Kaka and Alice were living. Immediately, she saw the entire box begin to shimmer away until it transformed into a square outline and vanished into thin air.
"What is this? How is this possible?" Will Hackman was utterly shocked; anyone witnessing this scene would find it hard to believe: "Where did they go?"
Bai Yujing was trying to contain Exotic Creatures in his territory for the first time. Previously, he wasn't very confident, especially when he attempted to bring Dudu into his territory; the little creature was completely uncooperative, and Bai Yujing couldn't catch it. So, when he successfully contained it, Bai Yujing was very surprised.
At that moment, it was daytime in Bai Yujing's territory. He could see Alice and Kaka inside, both extremely shocked. In front of them was a grassy area resembling a Primeval Jungle. As soon as they arrived, both felt the sense of rejection and oppression disappear, and they became more spirited.
"Where is this? How did we suddenly end up here?" Kaka exclaimed, holding onto Alice, looking around at the clear sky and bright sunshine. However, it was too quiet and monotonous here; apart from some weeds, there was only a Little Orange tree beside them.
Alice seemed to regain a bit of strength: "Is this what human technology is like? It's truly amazing! They not only have giant birds that can fly in the air and ships that can cross endless oceans but can also create such a world. Are humans gods?"
Just as Kaka was about to say something, she suddenly felt her legs begin to fade away, and she disappeared entirely. Alice panicked and shouted, "Kaka, what happened to you?"
"I'm fine; they must be looking for me!"
"A very safe place, but I don't know if it will work. Let me ask them!" Bai Yujing responded to Huckman's question.
As Bai Yujing waved his hand over the ground again, he saw Kaka reappear. Alice and the box were left inside, but Kaka appeared right in front of him. Bai Yujing immediately asked, "How is it?"
Kaka nodded happily: "It's great! We feel really good there; the environment is beautiful and comfortable. But now that I'm back here, I can feel that power again, as if it's trying to drain our energy."
Looking at Kaka, Bai Yujing said, "That's good. You should have stored food there. We will find a way to get to Lilliput soon and search for the legendary Lilliput. For now, you and Alice can stay there!"
Kaka laughed: "That place is much better than this small house! Although it's a bit too quiet and monotonous! It feels like the whole world is just us and Alice, but we are quite used to this feeling!"
"Then it's settled! The next time we meet will be when we reach Lilliput. I don't think it will take too long!" Bai Yujing waved his hand again, watching as Kaka disappeared from the ground to reunite with Alice!
Bai Yujing confirmed his suspicions: "Indeed, it was correct. When I just asked Pirus, they mentioned that the Giant race has never left this continent and has never seen other races. Although there are legends about them, no one has truly witnessed them. Many of these legends were heard from Lemuel Gulliver!"
Huckman expressed his confusion: "What does this mean?"
Bai Yujing explained: "This means that these races cannot move freely here. Each Sky Island is inhabited by a different race, and they maintain a state of isolation from each other. Generally, leaving or entering other Sky Islands is not allowed. This might be due to some laws and regulations of this world? This world is truly amazing and incredible; it's not just a planet. What is its mode of existence like?"
Huckman then asked, "What did you just use to make them disappear?"
"The space folding technology of Atlantis. It's troublesome if others find out about it, but Will Hackman, I trust you; you won't tell anyone, right?" Bai Yujing and Huckman had collaborated several times and had built a certain level of trust between them.
Huckman opened his mouth in astonishment: "This is truly a strange world—giants over a hundred meters tall, ordinary humans like us, and tiny people no taller than a finger. Now there's Atlantis as well; it's absolutely insane! I hardly recognize our world anymore!"
"There are too many secrets hidden in this world. What we humans know is always just the tip of the iceberg!"
