"I have already contacted the accounting firm you asked me to find. Mr. Wang can go directly to them when the time comes. Su Yang stood up, tidied her things, and prepared to leave. "By the way, Mr. Gao asked me to tell you to visit their publishing house. Su Yang's law firm is the contracted firm for the publishing house, and Gao Yuan usually handles matters related to himself or business through Su Yang. Their relationship is very close and familiar, which is why Su Yang conveyed this information directly to Bai Yujing.

After leaving the headquarters of Rihsi Publishing House in Guangzhou, Bai Yujing headed straight to Li Xinyan's research laboratory. Since most matters had already been handled by Lawyer Su Yang, he was mainly there to meet his editor and discuss some coordination issues. It didn't take long before everything was settled.
The editor assigned to him was a man in his early thirties, completely different from the beautiful and intellectual female editor Bai Yujing had imagined. This left him quite disappointed. His name was Xu Keke, who previously worked on women's magazine sections but for some reason was assigned as Bai Yujing's editor.
Xu Keke was a very thin man, dressed fashionably, but spoke with a somewhat effeminate tone. When he looked at Bai Yujing, it felt like a cold wind swept over him, making him shiver involuntarily.

Some lab assistants and experts in white coats were bustling through the corridors. Through the glass window, Bai Yujing saw Li Xinyan slowly walking out.
Li Xinyan stepped outside and removed his mask. "What’s up? Do you need something from me?"
Bai Yujing nodded. "I need your help to test a blood sample to see if there are any issues."
Li Xinyan frowned. "Can't you just go to a hospital for that? Why come to me?"
Bai Yujing quickly replied, "Isn't this your area of expertise? Plus, having someone as professional as you will yield more accurate results."
Li Xinyan looked at Bai Yujing with curiosity. "From what you're saying, this blood is unusual. Let me see what kind of animal's blood sample it is."
Bai Yujing immediately handed over a box he had hidden on him. When Li Xinyan opened it, he saw a test tube containing half a tube of bright red blood flowing inside. "It's not from any animal; it's from a friend of mine. However, I suspect his blood might be different from that of an ordinary person—maybe I'm overthinking it—but I want you to take a look at it. Please."
Li Xinyan put away the test tube and said, "Why should I help you?"
Bai Yujing immediately replied, "Aren't you curious? This could be a great discovery."
Li Xinyan scoffed lightly, "Who knows where you got that blood from? It might be problematic. Why should I take such a big risk to help you with this experiment?"
Bai Yujing had no choice but to say, "Then tell me what it would take for you to help me with this test."
"Five hundred thousand, paid upfront, no credit!" Li Xinyan held up five fingers.
"What?" Bai Yujing was stunned for a moment before reacting, "You're robbing me!"
"Whether you agree or not, if not, I'll take the stuff back." Li Xinyan immediately offered the box back to Bai Yujing.
Bai Yujing realized how painful it was to have the same trick he used on Li Hao turned against him. Truly, what goes around comes around!
Bai Yujing gritted his teeth and said, "Fine, it's a deal. But you can't tell anyone else about the test results; this matter can only be discussed with me."
Li Xinyan checked her phone and nodded after confirming the transfer went through. "Don't worry; I have a strong sense of professional ethics. Once the test results are out, I'll send them directly to your email. Make sure to check it."
Li Xinyan's figure had already disappeared down the corridor, but Bai Yujing remained standing in place. Taking a deep breath, he turned to leave. Bai Yujing had made up his mind; he would definitely get that five hundred thousand back from that brat Li Hao, and double it if possible.
