The door of the west wing had no latch, making it impossible to close, which left Kairuot on edge all night. Coupled with the fact that he had drunk Fruit Tea, he felt so hot that he couldn't sleep. For the first time, he lay in bed without his underwear, wide awake all night, fearing that Beldan would come to disturb him. By dawn, he was extremely sleepy and thought that Beldan wouldn't come after all, so he finally closed his eyes, hoping to take a good nap...
At some unknown time, he vaguely heard a gentle voice softly calling his name at the foot of the bed in his dreams. However, he couldn't open his eyes or respond to her. Then he hazily felt someone rustling around on his bed for a while before slipping under the covers with him. She gently kissed his forehead with her lips, and he seemed to sense her hurried breathing as she tried to kiss his lips but stopped short. Finally, she draped her arm over his chest and pressed her face against his shoulder, quietly falling asleep beside him.

Early in the morning, Long Er was leaning by the window, shouting loudly: "Big Brother! Big Brother!! Lazybones! Get up!!"
Seeing there was no response, Long Er ran into the room to wake Kairuot by his bedside. When she got there and took a look, she was so startled that she stuck out her tongue and quickly turned to run away. However, she was caught by the sleepy Kairuot.
"Why are you running? What are you making a fuss about so early in the morning?"
Kairuot felt a hand resting on his chest. He turned his head and was nearly startled out of his skin, thinking: [Oh my god, when did Beldan end up sleeping next to me?]
He quickly jumped out of bed and hurriedly stopped Long Er, asking her: "You... what do you want from me?"
Long Er found Kairuot's reaction amusing and covered her mouth to suppress her laughter. After holding back her giggles, Long Er replied: "I just wanted to find Big Brother to play. But now it's not necessary; you should stay with Belle."
"It's not what you think; kids shouldn't make a fuss... I..."
Before Kairuot could finish saying "play with you," Beldan on the bed grabbed his arm: "Let's sleep a little longer."
"You go play with Belle." Long Er stuck out her tongue and took the opportunity to slip away.
Beldan happily wrapped her arms around Kairuot's waist, making it impossible for him to escape... The girl yawned and said: "It's still early; let's sleep a little longer."

In a flurry, they searched for their clothes and hurriedly dressed before rushing to the hall, where Great-Great-Grandfather and Long Er had already been waiting for half an hour.

Long Er chimed in: “Big brother, this courtyard is specifically for Belle to recruit sons-in-law.”
Kairuot was puzzled: “Recruiting sons-in-law?”
Long Er continued: “This is Belle's courtyard for unmarried women.”
Beldan no longer allowed Long Er to interrupt. She said, "Long Er can't explain it clearly, so let me explain. According to the rules of Dragonfall Lodge, any girl who turns 40 must have a house prepared by her family as a dowry. This courtyard is the one that Great-Great-Grandfather prepared for me. If a suitable man takes a liking to this girl and she approves, he can come to the room and sleep with her. If no suitable man comes to the room within three years, the room will be reclaimed and will no longer belong to the girl. Beldan insisted, "Do you dare back out? I won't be polite with you. We are already a couple sleeping together; you can't escape. Wherever you go, I'll follow."
Great-Great-Grandfather laughed and said, "Kid, no matter how you explain it now, it's useless; the rice is already cooked. In a few days, I'll pick an auspicious day and arrange your wedding."
Kairuot was completely speechless.
Long Er happily told Kairuot, "Big brother, starting today is our lodge's annual three-day Carnival; the streets will be lively! Let's go out for a stroll with Belle."
Now going out for a stroll was Kairuot's best way to relieve his boredom.
