The day of the scheduled coronation ceremony was fast approaching, and the Kairo Chief residence was adorned with colorful flags, creating a particularly festive atmosphere. The Kairo Mansion was heavily guarded by soldiers, with sentries every five steps and patrols every four steps, creating an imposing presence. The soldiers scrutinized everyone entering and exiting as if they were in a wartime situation, as if facing a formidable enemy.
Inside the grand hall, the Elders of the Kairo Tribe, officers from various military branches, social elites from all walks of life, and special representatives from other families on Mars were invited to attend the coronation ceremony of the new leader of Kairou.
Unlike previous coronation ceremonies, this grand hall was filled with armed soldiers. Officially, it was said to maintain order and prevent disturbances, but anyone could see that the heavy security was excessive and revealed an underlying insecurity.
Most of the attendees from the Kairo Tribe were brought in under guard. Gone were the usual pleasantries and laughter; instead, they appeared tense and sullen, watching Chief of Staff Kai Ruo Feng sitting in the leader's chair with a smug expression that made them grind their teeth in frustration.
Chief of Staff Kai Ruo Feng, dressed in a sharp military uniform adorned with various medals, sat confidently in the leader's chair carved with the Kairou totem. He exuded an air of someone who had achieved great military success.
As the sound of twelve ceremonial cannons fired from the lawn outside echoed through the hall, Kai Ruo Feng stood up and announced loudly, "The twelfth coronation ceremony of the Kairo Family officially begins!"
"Wait!" Just as Kai Ruo Feng finished speaking and before he could announce "Music!", a voice interrupted him from among the crowd attending the ceremony.
【Who has the audacity to challenge Kai Ruo Feng in front of such a large audience?!】—Everyone turned their gaze to a robust man with a full beard. This man calmly walked up to Kai Ruo Feng and asked, "May I ask if this leader was appointed through recommendations and then elected by everyone?"
Caught off guard by such bold questioning in such a tense atmosphere, Kai Ruo Feng stammered for a moment: "These outdated old rules are meant to be broken. Therefore, this leadership coronation does not require recommendations or elections; I am unopposed!"
"May I ask which clause in the Kairou regulations clearly states that the leader of the Kairo Tribe does not need recommendations or elections?" Ignoring his previous evasive arguments, the newcomer pressed on relentlessly.
Faced with this question, Kai Ruo Feng turned red with anger and shouted loudly, "Who dares to be disrespectful here?! Step forward so I can see you!"—His flustered demeanor elicited laughter from those present.
Seeing this situation unfold only fueled Kai Ruo Feng's anger further. With a fierce expression, he declared, "I am the regulation; who dares to disobey!"
"Ha, ha... if you are the rule, then the Kairo Family is doomed," said the man who stepped out of the crowd, wearing a face like Uncle, showing no signs of fear.
Kai Ruo Feng did not want to get entangled with this person. He gestured in the air, and immediately two burly men rushed forward and grabbed Uncle.
Seeing that the strong men had gained courage, Kai Ruo Feng raised his voice by an octave: "Drag this troublemaker away and shoot him dead!"
As soon as he finished speaking, the two muscular men fell to the ground as if struck by a spell and did not get back up.
Kai Ruo Feng was stunned, and everyone present was shocked.
Regaining his senses, Kai Ruo Feng shouted for soldiers to come and eliminate this troublemaker.
"Stop shouting, save your breath," Uncle said as he removed his fake beard, revealing his true identity. "With me here, does the leader of the Kairo Tribe still need to be chosen?"
Upon seeing Kairuoka, Kai Ruo Feng was instantly dumbfounded, his mouth agape: "You, you... weren't you already dead on Earth?"
