Upon entering, the Ancient Sorcerer took a look around and found himself in a common farmer's yard, a two-and-a-half-story small building. In front of the small building was a fenced yard, where a few pomegranate trees were planted in the northeast corner, and in the northwest corner stood a grape trellis with a stone table and several stools underneath. 0

The nearly two hundred square meter yard should have been empty, but it was now crowded with people, all engaged in lively discussions. 0

"What is going on? What happened at Zhao Fei's house?" 0

"Hey~~~~ I heard his precious daughter is sick." 0

"Sick? Why didn't they take her to the hospital?" 0

"They did! I heard they even went to the hospital in the Provincial Capital, but there was no hope!" 0

"What kind of illness is it?" 0

"She's gone mad; she must have been possessed!" 0

"Oh, no wonder they called for a Taoist priest; it seems they're going to exorcise some ghosts!" 0

... 0

As he squeezed into the crowd, the Ancient Sorcerer noticed that not only were there Taoist priests and priestesses, but also monks, each carrying their own magical tools: some with dusters, some with wooden fish, and others with peach wood swords. Each had their own display, accompanied by young Taoist apprentices or sitting cross-legged in corners. If one wasn't paying attention, they might think they had stumbled into a temple fair. 0

Shaking his head, the Ancient Sorcerer quietly said to Jiu Ye beside him: 0

"Jiu Ye, this isn't going to work; what are all these people doing crowding here?" 0

Jiu Ye frowned as well and turned to Luo Tieniu, saying, "Tie Niu, clear the people out and tidy up the yard." 0

"Got it." 0

Luo Tieniu unceremoniously pushed aside those blocking his way and stepped into the center of the crowd, shouting loudly: "Get out! Everyone leave the yard; what's so interesting here!" 0

"Leave! Leave! If you don't move along, I won't be polite!" 0

Luo Tieniu saw that the crowd was not moving and shouted loudly, pushing a person standing at the front out of the way. 0

"What are you doing? Why are you pushing?!" 0

"Is this your yard? If you don't leave, I'll throw you out!" 0

Luo Tieniu lived up to his name, built like a sturdy black water buffalo, with eyes that bulged like copper bells. His shout was like a thunderclap, startling everyone into slowly retreating. The person who had just been pushed by Luo Tieniu didn't dare to say anything and left in a hurry—he believed that if he stayed any longer, Luo Tieniu's fist would surely land on his face. 0

"Bang!" 0

Luo Tieniu closed the yard gate and clapped his hands, saying, "Now it's good; the world is quiet." 0

"Nonsense! With so many people, the yang energy is strong; that's how you drive away evil spirits! Now that you've chased everyone away, there's no yang energy left!" 0

The Ancient Sorcerer looked in the direction of the voice and saw a thin Taoist priest glaring at Luo Tieniu, holding a whisk that was pointed at him. 0

"Oh, you say there's no yang energy here? I'm still in my prime; one of me is worth a hundred of those onlookers. Am I right or not?" 0

Before the Ancient Sorcerer could respond, Luo Tieniu had already marched up to the Taoist priest and shouted loudly. 0

"Wuliang Tianzun, what... what do you want to do..." 0

"I ask you, is there enough yang energy in this yard or not?!" 0

Standing nearly two meters tall, Luo Tieniu resembled an iron tower, while the Taoist priest was barely over one meter sixty, thin and wiry with a sharp face. The two standing together looked like an eagle next to a chick. 0

"Enough... enough... it's really too much; it's even more than before..." 0

Seeing this, the Ancient Sorcerer and Feng Leyao exchanged smiles. There were benefits to being barbaric; the Taoist priest was too frightened by Luo Tieniu to speak carelessly anymore. 0

"This is utter nonsense! Yang energy or not." 0

Luo Tieniu murmured as he walked back to the side of the Ancient Sorcerer and Feng Leyao. At that moment, Zhao Fei accompanied an elderly woman into the Yard. 0

"Masters, I have called you here today because I need your help with something." 0

The Ancient Sorcerer recognized that the elderly woman speaking was Zhao Fei's mother, Yang Ying. She had a kind face but looked weary, clearly worn out by her granddaughter's illness. 0

As soon as the monks and Daoist Priestesses in the Yard saw the elderly woman come out, they immediately surrounded her, knowing that she was their benefactor! 0

"Master Kongkong, what should I do about my granddaughter's illness? Can it be cured?" 0

Yang Ying's first question was directed at a monk standing opposite her. 0

"Amitabha, the Buddha's teachings are boundless; exorcising demons and dispelling evil is merely a small matter." 0

"That's wonderful! Master Kongkong, rest assured, as long as my son's illness is cured, I will donate a large sum for incense money. 50,000—no, 100,000!" 0

As soon as Yang Ying finished speaking, the surrounding Daoist Priestesses erupted into a chaotic discussion: 0

"Wuliang Tianzun, elderly lady, your son's illness can be treated by me." 0

"I have a prescription in hand that can perfectly cure your granddaughter's illness; I guarantee that after three doses of medicine, the root of the illness will be eliminated." 0

... 0

Seeing this commotion, Master Kongkong raised his hands to push the crowd away and said: 0

"Old benefactor, your granddaughter is afflicted by evil spirits; only by exorcising them can she return to normal. The teachings of our Buddhist sect are currently flourishing and are most suitable for treating such illnesses." 0

"Hmph! The methods of my Daoist sect are the most effective." 0

"This temple has passed down a talisman from a thousand years ago; it is guaranteed to work every time." 0

"Don't be ridiculous. This immortal doctor has traveled the world for decades and has developed a Hercules Pill that works wonders for colds, flu, and external invasions—it's guaranteed to work every time!" 0

... 0

The Ancient Sorcerer shook his head at the farce unfolding before him. Yang Ying was clearly desperate and grasping at straws; the people in the yard were obviously just wandering practitioners without any real skills. 0

Yang Ying had never encountered such a scene before. 0

A crowd was surrounding him, shouting loudly. Being older, he quickly felt dizzy and overwhelmed. 0

"Everyone, please be quiet!" 0

Seeing the chaos, the Ancient Sorcerer immediately stepped forward and pushed aside a Daoist Priest who was blocking his way. 0

"Amitabha, this illness can only be treated by me!" 0

"Nonsense! Whoever has the ability should treat it!" 0

... 0

The Ancient Sorcerer shook his head. These people were clearly here for money; once they heard Yang Ying was willing to pay 100,000, they would rush over like sharks smelling blood. 0

"Ah!!!!" 0

Just as the crowd continued to argue, a long scream suddenly echoed from inside the room. A girl with disheveled hair burst out, paused for a moment upon seeing everyone, and then pounced like a hungry tiger! 0

The Daoist Priestess was caught off guard and grabbed by the girl, who bit down hard on her shoulder without hesitation. 0

"Ouch... ah..." 0

The Daoist Priestess's face twisted in pain as the so-called thousand-year-old talisman she held flew into the corner of the wall. 0

“Master Kongkong, you... you need to act quickly.” 0

Yang Ying shouted anxiously upon seeing the situation, knowing her granddaughter had lost her mind again. 0

“Ah... Amitabha, alright... alright...” 0

Master Kongkong tapped the wooden fish in his hand. He was just a fraud; he had no real skills. Seeing the girl acting like a madwoman made him tremble with fear, but now that things had escalated, he was in a difficult position. Shaking the prayer beads in his hand, he stammered: 0

“Monk... purification... barrier... yin and yang... break the barrier... achieve auspiciousness!” 0

Perhaps hearing the sound, the girl biting Daoist Priestess released her grip and charged toward Kongkong, arms wide open, fingers splayed. Her long nails were dark as ink, resembling a ghostly figure! 0

“Oh my god!” 0

Seeing this, Kongkong turned and ran, dropping the wooden fish on the ground without a second thought. Daoist Priestess also took off immediately, forgetting about the ancient talisman in the corner. 0

Yang Ying panicked and grabbed the nearby Folk Doctor, saying, “Immortal doctor, don’t you have any Hercules Pill?” 0

“This... I... I forgot to bring my Hercules Pill. I’ll go back and get it now!” 0

After saying this, he shook off Yang Ying's hand and dashed out of the Yard. In an instant, chaos erupted in the Yard, with priests and monks all fleeing, disappearing without a trace in the blink of an eye. 0
