Two vehicles left Suicheng, driving along National Route 104 towards Pengcheng.
Chen Letian was driving the Ultimate Doomsday Vehicle, while Xu Yuan was in the Military Truck. Xu Lixing sat on top of the truck, and Shen Yuan and Chi Qinghua were on the glass platform of the Ultimate Doomsday Vehicle, sipping tea and enjoying the scenery.
Stone Lion was running alongside them, while on the other side was Fuhuluo Han riding the Fierce Tiger Statue.
Shen Yuan did not bring more people or additional statues this time because their trip to Pengcheng was not for battle but to search for the Apophis Meteorite Fragment, look for more statues with spiritual essence, and collect usable firearms and ammunition.
Moreover, there needed to be activated statues left behind at the Stone Carving Factory because Wei Jiankang, Wei Luhe, Zhang Huanxue, and Ma Lao were not very strong. Without Shen Yuan present, it was inevitable that someone might have ill intentions.

These soldiers were quite capable; in one-on-one situations, most Zombies were no match for them.
However, there were also about ten Zombies that stood out and were difficult to deal with.
For example, one Zombie was nearly two and a half meters tall, holding a section of stainless steel pipe with a diameter of twenty centimeters and three meters long, swinging it around fiercely—no one dared to get close!
Another Zombie was extremely fast, moving on all fours with a tongue over a meter long that pierced through an Evolver's chest in an instant. It looked like an evolved version of the “Licker!”
Without a doubt, these were formidable 1-level Mutated Zombies, far more terrifying than the ordinary Zombies when the apocalypse first began!
In fact, it had been over a month since the apocalypse started. Humans were evolving, Mutant Beasts were evolving, and so were the Zombies. For some unknown reason, the overall evolution speed of the Zombies was even faster than that of humans!
Among humans, there wasn't even one 1-level Evolver for every hundred people. Yet 1-level Mutated Zombies made up nearly one-tenth of all Zombies!
It is still the Evolution Zero era, with Evolver and Mutant Beast primarily at Level Zero. However, it won't be long—perhaps two or three months, maybe half a year—before we fully enter the Evolution One era. By then, most Evolver and Mutant Beast around the world will have stepped into Level One!
“Pengcheng Airport Shelter... it can't hold them back any longer!” Shen Yuan furrowed his brow as he saw from a distance that more and more Zombie were rushing towards this direction along National Highway 104, gathering together in an organized and premeditated manner!
From a certain perspective, Zombie has no relation to humanity anymore; they belong to the category of Mutant Beast. From the moment they were born, they lacked human intelligence. The intelligence level of ordinary Zombie is almost zero, even inferior to that of Mutant Beast!
The characteristic of Mutant Beast is that, except in special circumstances, only Level Two Mutant Beast have the ability to command other lower-level Mutant Beast of the same kind. To be able to command over a hundred or even several hundred Zombie, there must be Level Two Mutated Zombie present.
“It seems that there really are intelligent Level Two Mutated Zombie among the Zombie!” Shen Yuan picked up his binoculars and looked out. Soon, he spotted a Mutated Zombie, about two meters tall, with no signs of pus or blood, looking almost indistinguishable from an ordinary person!
This reminded Shen Yuan of the terrifying war weapon from "Resident Evil": Tyrant!
