Run! Run! Run!
Faced with a terrifying giant snake that was no less frightening than the Mutated Brown Bear or the Mutated White Tiger, Shen Yuan wasted no time and immediately drove his motorcycle off National Route 104 and onto a small road.
Though it was called a small road, it was actually quite spacious.
This was the Southern Industrial Zone, filled with large factories. Perhaps due to the need for large trucks to transport goods, the newly constructed roads here were of good quality and very wide. While it couldn't compare to the South Third Ring Road, it was similar to Liberation South Road and Beijing Road; five or six small cars could easily travel side by side without any issues.
The reason for choosing this place was simple:
The Industrial Zone lacked dense forests, large lakes, and there were no zoos or residential areas. It was vast and sparsely populated, with each company and factory operating independently. When the disaster struck, it wasn't yet working hours, so at least half of the workers and staff were not present, making the area even less populated.
Fewer people meant fewer Undead.
There might even be no Undead at all because the Undead were caused by Mutant Mice, which primarily wreaked havoc in the city center, at most spreading to the southern residential areas; the Industrial Zone might not have any.

Due to the wide roads, although many vehicles had escaped here, it did not feel congested, and normally there would be no collisions.

A chicken over a meter tall with frizzy feathers!
This is an enlarged version of an ordinary Old Hen, looking exceptionally fierce and embodying the combative nature of the Old Hen. It blocks the road, attacking the speeding vehicles.

Due to its larger size and external protection, the Mutated Hen seems somewhat wary, specifically targeting unprotected motorcycles and Electric Vehicles.

A Blonde Youth riding a Heavy Motorcycle, not sure if he was just being reckless or had some issues, took advantage of the Heavy Motorcycle's speed. The Old Hen had no time to dodge, so he slammed on the accelerator and charged straight at the Mutated Hen!

The Blonde Youth was indeed ruthless; the Heavy Motorcycle knocked the Old Hen flying, scattering feathers everywhere as it lay motionless on the ground.
"Haha! An Old Hen dares to challenge me! Even if you were ten times bigger, you'd still just be a chicken! I hate chickens the most!" The Blonde Youth hit the brakes, got off the bike, and prepared to collect his spoils.
"These feathers are nice; they would look impressive on my head! As for the beak, forget it—red and white is disgusting! I wonder if this thing is edible. They say Old Hens are nutritious; I wonder if this giant Old Hen would be even better. Maybe it could even boost my stamina! Let that damn bitch regret it!"
The Yellow-Haired one walked over, laughing heartily.
Several others also stopped their vehicles to check out the commotion, hoping to get a piece of the action. A chicken this size must weigh around a hundred pounds; the Yellow-Haired one definitely couldn't take it all.
One middle-aged man even pulled out a survival knife from who knows where and approached with a grin, saying, "Hey kid, I've got some good stuff imported from abroad. Once we butcher this Old Hen, you can take the best parts, and leave me some of the rest. I heard roosters are pure yang and can boost stamina, right? An Old Hen is still a chicken, and being this big might make it effective too!"
Shen Yuan sneered and decided to slam on the accelerator to rush past.
There was still a Terrifying Giant Snake behind!
Although it might not charge this way, what if it did?
At times like this, why waste time lingering around? Do they have a death wish? Didn't they see that others were too scared to stop? Were these few just braver than everyone else?
"Meow!"
At that moment, Shen Yuan heard A Hu's low growl of anger. The usually fierce A Hu was slowly retreating, its body tense as if it had encountered a terrifying enemy.
Shen Yuan was startled because A Hu was not an ordinary Tabby Cat; it was always clever. Moreover, cats were known for their keen senses, and since A Hu was acting as if facing a formidable threat, there must be something wrong!
Shen Yuan looked ahead and saw the Old Hen suddenly spring up, flapping its wings and flying up from the ground. It crashed into Yellow-Haired, knocking Yellow-Haired down, and then pecked at Yellow-Haired's eyes with its beak!

But that wasn't the end.
Shen Yuan noticed that A Hu was growling at something in the distance, not at the Mutated Hen.
In the next moment, Shen Yuan saw a commotion in a nearby Diguo Chicken Restaurant; chickens were flying and dogs were barking!
Old Hens and Roosters, each half a meter to a meter tall, rushed out from the restaurant's yard, flapping their wings trying to escape. Some of them were charging down this road!
Then came a thunderous bark as a two-meter-tall Big Mutt burst out of the yard and lunged at one of the chickens.
It was incredibly fast; its massive jaws snapped and broke the neck of a half-meter-tall Rooster in an instant. Then it didn't eat but leaped two meters high and quickly caught up with a second chicken, killing it in the same manner.
About ten chickens scattered in all directions, among which three or four surprisingly headed this way, likely drawn by the Mutated Hen's calls; otherwise, they wouldn't have acted this way.
That mutated Big Mutt was also chasing after them!
Chickens were flying and dogs were jumping!
The Mutated Chicken flapped its wings but couldn't fly far; after all, it was a chicken, not a bird. The Mutated Dog was fast, and its jumping ability was impressive!
"Go! Go! Go!"
Shen Yuan's palms were sweaty, and he was drenched in cold sweat as he quickly turned around.
Who would have thought that in this place, there was a Diguo Chicken Restaurant where they slaughtered chickens on the spot? Inside, there were still over ten Old Hens and Roosters waiting to be killed, and they had all mutated!
And there was even a Big Mutt guarding the place that had also mutated!
No wonder A Hu looked like he was facing a life-and-death enemy; weren't cats and dogs natural enemies?
He didn't dare to go back the way he came because there was a terrifying Mutated Giant Snake behind him.
Shen Yuan looked to both sides and saw that there was a river on each side of the road, with a bridge leading to a factory on the opposite side.
One of the factories produced high-tech electronic equipment, while the other was a small company that manufactured communication devices, named “Dongshi Communication Co., Ltd.”. The door of this company... was wide open!
Shen Yuan had no intention of abandoning his motorcycle, so without hesitation, he accelerated and rushed into Dongshi Communications.
