The three quickly discussed how to investigate the strange town. Erin furrowed her brow, contemplating how to allocate tasks to ensure they could fully understand the mysterious town and its secrets. 0

"We need to split up; that way we can collect information more effectively," Erin decisively said. "Mark, you should continue focusing on the religious aspect. Use your current relationship with Diego Montoro to investigate more about the Holy Spectrum Cult under the guise of interviews, and find out what this so-called Colorful Winged Cicada really is." 0

Mark nodded in agreement. "Alright, I'll try to dig up more internal information. Diego Montoro seems quite interested in us, and I'll take advantage of that." 0

Erin continued, "Lisa and I will conduct a field investigation to look into the town's situation. The environment and economic conditions here are quite strange; we need to figure out how the people live." 0

Lisa nodded in agreement. "Okay, we can work together; it will be safer that way." 0

"Then it's settled," Erin said. "Remember, we must be careful. The locals don't seem welcoming to outsiders; we need to act cautiously and avoid raising suspicion." 0

Mark stood up, brushed off his clothes, and flashed a confident smile. "No problem, Erin. I'll do my best to uncover some insider information." 0

Lisa also stood up and gave Erin a reassuring smile. "We'll be careful, Erin. We'll definitely uncover the secrets of this town." 0

Erin collapsed onto the bed, her mind racing as everything from earlier swirled in her head. She tried to clear her thoughts, but the fear and unease lingered. She knew they were about to face a town full of mysteries and dangers. 0

Just then, Mark suddenly stood up, slapped his forehead, and said, "Oh! I almost forgot something important—Diego Montoro invited us to dinner at their community center tonight; this... could be a great opportunity." 0

Erin's eyes lit up with surprise and excitement upon hearing this. "Dinner? That really is a good opportunity; we can use it to learn more." 0

Mark nodded and then pulled three small black devices from his pocket—tiny pinhole cameras—and tossed them to Lisa and Erin. "These are pinhole cameras; we can use them to record what happens tonight. This way, we can capture more useful information." 0

Lisa took the camera, examined it closely, and smiled. "Mark, you really came prepared." 0

Mark replied with a smile, "These are essential for our work. Tonight's dinner might provide many useful clues; we have to be ready." 0

Erin picked up the camera and felt a sense of reassurance. She knew this was an important tool for their in-depth investigation. "Alright then, let's go attend the dinner and see if we can uncover any useful information." 0

Lisa nodded in agreement, "Yes, this could be a good opportunity for us to understand the secrets of this town. We must be careful to avoid being discovered." 0

Mark looked at the two of them, a glint of determination in his eyes. "No matter what, we will find the truth. The secrets of this town will be revealed by us." 0

Erin took a deep breath, feeling the support and trust of her teammates. She knew that no matter how strange this town was, they would face it together and uncover the truth. "Then let's prepare for tonight's dinner. We will definitely find the secrets of this town and solve this mystery." 0

The three nodded at each other, ready to set off. 0

Around six o'clock in the evening, there was a heavy knock on the door of the cabin, the sound echoing loudly in the quiet night. The three quickly put on their shoes, and Erin opened the door to see two women in white veils standing outside, holding Torches. Their expressions were cold as they gestured for them to follow. 0

Mark led the way, with Erin and Lisa closely behind. There were no streetlights in the town; most places were illuminated by Torches instead. The flickering light of the Torches cast long shadows in the night, making the town appear even more mysterious and eerie. 0

As they walked, Erin was filled with confusion and surprise. "What century is this village from? It seems so backward," she whispered to Lisa. 0

Lisa nodded and replied softly, "Yeah, everything here is too unusual. They seem completely cut off from the outside world, living an extremely traditional life." 0

Erin agreed with a nod, keeping her guard up. She sensed an oppressive atmosphere around them, as if countless eyes were watching them from the darkness. 0

She couldn't help but look around; the light from the Torch illuminated the path ahead, but everything else remained shrouded in darkness. She could hear whispers coming from afar, as if someone was peering at them from within the shadows. 0

"Are we almost there?" Erin asked quietly, filled with unease. 0

Mark glanced at the women in white veils; their expressions were cold and silent as they walked ahead, their Torches swaying in the dark. "We should be close; they seem like they are taking us to a specific place." 0

Erin took a deep breath, trying to calm herself. She knew that tonight's dinner might reveal part of this town's secrets but could also bring more danger. She had to stay alert and be ready for any unexpected situations. 0

Finally, they arrived in front of an ancient building, where the light from the Torch illuminated a heavy wooden door. The two women stopped and gestured for them to enter. 0

Mark took a deep breath and pushed open the heavy wooden door, a warm glow immediately washing over him. Erin and Lisa followed closely behind, their eyes wide with astonishment at the scene before them. 0

Several long dining tables were arranged in the spacious hall, laden with an array of food, from sumptuous meats to vibrant fruits. The interplay of lights created a luxurious atmosphere. The entire scene was so opulent that it felt as if they had stepped into a medieval castle banquet. 0

The townspeople were dressed in ancient, elaborate garments, joyfully eating and drinking, engaged in lively conversation. The men raised their glasses in cheers while the women chatted softly nearby, filling the air with a sense of joy and festivity. This stood in stark contrast to the desolate scenery outside. 0

Erin was taken aback by the spectacle, as if she had traveled through time to a completely different world. She couldn't help but whisper to Lisa, "This is unbelievable; it's like we've entered another era." 0

Lisa looked around in amazement and nodded, "Yeah, everything here is hard to believe, as if we really have traveled back to the Middle Ages." 0

Mark glanced back at them and lowered his voice, "Remember, we're here to investigate; don't be deceived by appearances. We need to find more clues." 0

Erin nodded in agreement, keeping her guard up. She knew that behind the lavish decorations and cheerful atmosphere might lie more secrets and dangers. 0

Just as they were immersed in this splendid scene, a familiar voice rang out, "Welcome, dear guests!" 0

Erin turned to see Diego Montoro standing nearby, smiling at them. He wore an ornate robe and held a glass of wine, his eyes sparkling with warmth and hospitality. 0

"Please come in; enjoy our hospitality," Diego Montoro said enthusiastically. "Tonight is a special night, and we are very pleased to have your company." 0

Mark smiled and nodded, "Thank you for your invitation, Diego Montoro. We are very much looking forward to this dinner." 0
